Dinner at Vergers de Pommes

Celeste sort of caught the short exchange between Roldan and his driver, but not really, she was more focused on the dark glass partition that went up between Marduk and them. For some reason, it surprised her. It probably shouldn't have, but it did. It also left her feeling oddly nervous and excited at the same time.

As Roldan leant across the seat to kiss her, Celeste slid over just a fraction, "I really like you too, Roldan..." she replied softly, touching his cheek gently with the back of her hand. Her eyes closing for a second as she enjoyed the feeling of his lips on hers as he kissed her deeply a second time, making her heart beat faster.

Sighing softly into the kiss, Celeste pulled away for a second. She knew she was attracted to him, wanted him, maybe even loved him, but that perhaps, all that was too soon. She was not sure.

And yet, seeing him there next to her, looking at her like he was, made her forget all that for some reason, and she slid closer to him, holding his gaze as she leant forward to kiss him deeply, this time opening his mouth with hers, placing a hand lightly on his knee as she did so.

"Yes... maybe, we should ..?" Celeste murmured breathlessly as she lightly touched her lips, feeling slightly flushed. The kiss had definitely left her slightly more aroused than she had thought it would.

"And, please don't apologize," she said to Roldan, her gaze softening as she took his hand in hers and gently squeezed it to reassure him that everything was okay.

"I get it... we probably should wait a bit longer," she said giving him an understanding smile. "And not act like two horny teenagers on a first date," she added jokingly as she leant over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'd love to do something more casual," Celeste said when they got to the door, shivering a little when he kissed her hand, the gesture now feeling a tad more intimate to her. The dinner had been extremely nice, and she had felt like a princess, but truthfully, she preferred just as much, or more, doing something less formal, something that allowed them to both be a little more themselves.

"Maybe next weekend, or even after we take the kids shopping if you are up for it?" she suggested.

"I will, and thank you for the evening," Celeste said as she hugged him back, holding the hug a second or two longer than what perhaps was appropriate. Just enjoying him, breathing in his scent, a warm woodsy smell... leathery, expensive too, what a dragon might smell like, she realised, the thought making her happy.

Letting him go almost reluctantly, Celeste put her hand on the doorknob. She knew she had better be going, the kids were probably up waiting, her niece also, and possibly Iesha was waiting for Roldan. All of which made her realise she was being selfish and should really let him go home. "I'll call you tomorrow with my schedule, and thank Marduk for me, please," Celeste said as she smiled at him fondly, finally opening the door, and turning to enter the house.
