Euna swung her legs, bored. This was her second detention for the month, and the fifth paper sailboat on her desk. She had been sent to detention this time for fighting someone who was making fun of the younger middle-schoolers. Did she think she deserved detention for the sheer kick of justice? No. But rules are rules, apparently. The huge bruise on her forehead wasn’t even enough to get her out of trouble.
There was only one other person in detention. Probably old enough to be in high school. Weird, she thought the high schoolers rarely ever got detention. This person also looked like he’s been through a rough time too. Euna’s curiosity was piqued, and the detention room was boring as all hell. She decided to lighten the mood while folding a sixth paper boat out of a barely-passing quiz paper.
“Hey Mac, what’re you in for?”
