The possibility of going with him made her squirm with glee. She might actually be able to touch a broom hat and see the owner of it. Egyptians were exciting, too. They did the mumifying thing. She thought about if they would teach her how to mummify things, but that would probably be classified as interupting the flow of time. She did not particularly wish to be murdered by a group of old people. Though, they probably wouldn't be as old in their own time period. Thinking about how long he would sleep if he went to the dinosaurs made her brain hurt, so she reasoned that it would probably be a very, very long time.

"Ah I'm glad I'm not both-- Oh why haven't you gone to see her! I want to go see her, too! Can you take pictures? Probably not... " Drooping a bit when she realised that taking a modern camera would probably be a bad idea, she perked back up when she remembered that he mentioned her coming with earlier. "Oh! I want to go with you, if you go. I mean, if I can. If ... you dont mind. She had just met this person, and for all she knew, he could be spewing this time travel stuff to cover up being a murderer. "Oh, are you a murderer? I mean, you can really time travel, right? Like, this isn't something you use to trap people. Or pick up girls?" She wasn't completely satisfied with how she worded her query, but ... She wasn't the time traveler.

<div align=center>The prospect of bringing a person back in time with him was strange, no one had ever wanted to before. He had no problem with it though, it'd be nice to have some company for once. "Sure, you can come with me if you like." It wasn't hard to take someone else back with him, he'd done it before, just not with a human. Oh, are you a murderer? He laughed at the question, and shook his head. "I'm not a murderer, I promise." He paused for a moment, and stuck out a little finger, "pinky promise." He perhaps hadn't done that since he was a small child, but well, it was more hygienic than making a promise with spit.

Or pick up girls? "I'm afraid even if I did use it to pick up girls, it wouldn't work." He answered, "apparently history isn't all that interesting to a lot of people." Hadrian, however, was incredibly fond of his power, it was more or less a blessing in his head. The only downside of time travel, was that you had to dress to fit the period you'd traveled to, just so you didn't rouse any suspicion in any of the people there.</div>

Bouncing, Ania was overflowing with excitement. "Yesss, I want to come with you!" She wanted to go now. Hesitating for a moment, she wrapped her smaller finger around his and nodded decisively. "Good. You promised so that means you can't kill me." Even though it might not stop a real murderer, she was pleased with the trust she had established so far. Perhaps next she would be eating crumbs from his palm.
"But history is fun. And some girls might like time travel too! I like time travel, and I'm a girl! I think." Glancing down at her chest, Ania confirmed that she was, in fact, female. "Yes, girl, see! Pointing at her chest to prove a point, Ania stopped herself from grabbing one of his hands to put on her chest. Perhaps that would be over-proving the point.

She wanted to go now, though. Was he busy? Hopefully not. She wanted to go somewhere with him. "Are you busy now? Let's go now! I want to go with you. That sounds like fun. "

<div align=center>Hadrian saw no reason why they couldn't go now, his history exam could wait, he'd much rather go back to see the Romans for real with Ania, they'd have a good time, he liked this girl, though a little different from other people he'd met, she was fun to talk to (thank God) and for the short time they had known each other, he'd enjoyed her company. "Why would I want to kill you?" He asked, softly, "it'd be such a terrible waste." He pouted just a little, there was no way Hadrian could ever kill someone, he might have seemed a little mean at times, but he wasn't a nasty boy, not at all.

His eyes flickered down briefly when she pointed, more or less shamelessly. "Ah, of course." History was fun, he was glad she agreed with him on that point. "I'm not busy." He confirmed, "I'd rather do that than anything else, anyhow." He shrugged, he hadn't time traveled in a little while, it'd be nice to do so, besides, he'd promised to get Ania a broom hat, it wouldn't be all that hard to smuggle one back, there were hundreds of Roman soldiers, surely one could donate his hat?</div>

How would killing her be a waste? Didn't some people think that death was an honour? She had heard of those kinds of people on the news. "Maybe you could be one of those people who thinks killing is pretty! There's people — why would it be a waste? I'm sure I would taste alright in a stew of some sort. " A bit dismal of a thing to say, but she couldn't think of any other context in which 'waste' could be applied.

"Yesssss. Let's go! Do you need to do anything to prepare first?" Looking up in wide-eyed rapture, Ania was intent on going back with this man. This time travel thing is all very new, though very exciting. "You're a neat person." It was a bit difficult to capture and maintain her attention, but this was doing the trick quite nicely.

<div align=center>Hadrian shook his head, patting her affectionately on the head again, "never mind." He didn't think killing was ever pretty, it was strange to him. "I couldn't kill a person, life is valuable." He held his hand on her head for a moment longer, her hair was soft, and nice to touch. He paused for a moment, "we might need to uh, dress differently I suppose." He didn't really know how they were going to get around that, perhaps they'd just find clothing when they were there, it was easier that way, though you had to be just a little sneakier, he didn't want to confuse anyone.

He didn't really need to prepare anything apart from clothing, which could easily be acquired during that period, either through being bought or being stolen. Though the latter was harder and more likely to get you into trouble. He didn't want to get Ania into trouble and put her off him, or time travel as a whole. "It might make you feel a little bit sick at first..." He warned, "but don't worry," he reassured softly, "I'll look after you, it'll pass alright." He'd vomited the first few times he'd ever time traveled, it wasn't a pleasant feeling, it took some time getting used to.</div>

Unable to help it, Ania leaned into his touch. She liked being petted, especially by cute strangers. Well, they were probably more like friends now that she was going on an adventure with him. "Oh! Do you ... Have spare clothes here? Or are we going to get them there?" She was trying very hard to not get overly excited. It wouldn't be very fun if she ended up bouncing all over him.

She could feel herself getting nervous as more time passed. She didn't want to get sick. Especially in front of him. It only made her more nervous when he said he'd look after her. She supposed that it was a good thing she hadn't eaten a whole lot today. She would be terrified if an entire banquet came up right after meeting him. Perhaps this wasn't the best idea after all. "O-okay... I think I'll be alright. I trust you!" Feeling the old excitement return, Ania wrapped her arms around his waist, looking up at him expectantly. "Should I ... Hang on? I'll hang on just in case. This is going to be fun, right? It sounds like it'll be fun." Burying her face in his chest, Ania giggled a bit, not caring that he might need personal space.

<div align=center>"We can find clothes there." He confirmed, still petting her lightly, almost absently. He thought he had some roman coins somewhere, from his last visit he thought, enough to buy some clothes at least. "You'll be alright," he promised, it was a little like the feeling you get when you're sea sick, he didn't get it anymore, but he had when he'd first figured out he could time travel at will. He didn't mind if she got sick, it wasn't her fault, and chances were it wouldn't be half as embarrassing as it had been for him when he'd had it, he hadn't even been in front of anyone.

"You should hang on." He hooked an arm around her waist, unthinkingly, and took his pocket watch from the pocket on his waistcoat to check the time, before replacing it there. "Don't let go, I don't want anything strange happening." He didn't think anything that bad could happen if she loosened her grip just a little, but it was just a precaution, he didn't want to lose her somewhere along the way, he'd never forgive himself for it. "Are you okay?" He asked her, "you think you're ready?"</div>

Well, at least it seemed like Hadrian knew what he was doing. If he thought she was going to be okay, then she would just have to take his word for it. She clung tighter to him, hoping that she wasn't hurting anything. Had he ever taken someone before? Hopefully this wasn't a completely new experience. Then again, it was somewhat of an honour to be the first person to go back on an adventure.

"Okay... I won't let go. I think I'm okay." She had begun to tremble in a mix of fear and excitement. She wasn't quite sure what was happening, but it was exciting nonetheless. Not looking forward to getting sick, but Ania had a feeling that this was going to be worth the price. Her hands balled into fists, and she clung to her new friend with all her might. After a brief glance upward to reassure herself that he was still going to look after her, Ania nuzzled her face into his shirt, deciding that it would probably be a good idea to pull her body to his as much as she could. Taking a shaky breath, Ania finally nodded. Her words were muffled, but understandable. "Yes, I think I'm ready. "

<div align=center>He nodded as she confirmed that she was okay, a very faint blush crept across his cheeks as she pulled herself just that little bit closer. Hadrian actually blushed. It passed a second later, and he made sure it had gone unnoticed. He cleared his throat, he hadn't taken anyone else back with him before, either he hadn't wanted to or they hadn't been interested, it was usually the first, but he hadn't said that to her. "I can come and find you if you get lost, but it's best to stick close," he told her, "wouldn't want you getting into any trouble."

Hadie checked his watch again, glancing around him briefly, they were more or less out of the view of everyone, they were all too engrossed in whatever they were doing to notice, anyhow. The sensation was a strange one to say the least, it'd taken Hadrian a little while to get used to, he'd come off feeling dizzy and ill more times than he remembered, it had passed quickly though, if he remembered it. He held onto the girl just a little tighter, just to avoid any mishaps. It was a little disorientating to go from the quiet of the library to the sudden bustle of a busy street, even for Hadrian, and for a moment or two he had absolutely no idea where they were.</div>
