"Alright then." He nodded and walked toward a tree. "Can you promise you'll wait here? I'm gonna climb up and see if I can't see the city from here."
"This one will wait," Cecily said. And she would, right there in that exact spot with her exact stance. She was good at following orders.
Lance nodded and began hopping up the tree, almost running straight up at some points. When he made his way to the top, he looked out into the distance in all directions until he spotted the cities skyline. He smirked and took note of the direction before making his way down the tree. "Well, that was painless enough." He told her, pointing in the direction he had seen the buildings. "City is that way!"
"But the flower is that way," Cecily said as she pointed the opposite direction. Nonetheless, Doll Girl followed Lance as he led them back out to the city. Free of the canopy of trees, Doll Girl looked up at the sky, gaging the time. "This one must be on its way. Where will it find Lance again if it needs him?"
He would have let her look at the flower some more, but she headed in the way he pointed before he could say anything to that effect. When they got back to town, Lance stretched his arm above his head, taking in the suns last rays. "Oh, um... Well I'm usually in the school during the day but..." And then the obviousness of modern conveniences hit him. "Right, if you need anything, you could always just give me a call." He told her, taking his phone out.
"A call?" Cecily looked at his phone, momentarily confused. "It does not have one of those, but it will find him. Mhm." She nodded, with that settled and knowing, vaguely, where he spent his time, Doll Girl turned and began walking away.
"Hm..?" She decided that pretty quickly. He shrugged and nodded with a smile. "Alright. See you around, Cecily." He called to her before turning and heading the other way. Part of the way home, he stopped, realization striking him like lightning. She... knows where she's going, right? She... Should he have walked her home?
