"Rumors...right...the ones about copies of people doing things," he honestly didn't know what was going on with that. "Hopefully that gets figured out soon, the idea of a copy of me doing things is....unsettling." it was a scary thought indeed, he hoped more doppelgangers didn't pop up.

"Yeah, true, I just wasn't sure," plus Kon's popping up and questioning him had thrown him off. "So....have you found anything out?" he asked curiously, "a few of my classmates think it's a shifter playing a really bad prank." That was another bad thought, people going to jail because of a bad prank.

Konpeitō sighed in disappointment with himself. "Not much, no. The more I look into things, the more questions I get. I don't think it's a shifter, anyway. Both Evie Everson and Alma Malivani were arrested. Alma's crime included video footage. The shifter would have to seamlessly shift into the victim without anyone spotting both had the same time, commit the crime, then blend into the crowd when the police arrived." It was possible. In an extremely convoluted way.

Then, Kon looked Zeke up and down. "Oh, sorry, I didn't comment on your change. You look good. Stand straight, pull your shoulders back, look up. If you act confident long enough, people will treat you as so, and you'll start feeling more confident."

She'd heard about what happened with the two girls, it all seemed like a giant mess. "Hopefully whoever's causing it gets caught soon, before anyone else gets framed," it all made her nervous, it was making a lot of students paranoid.

Zeke would smile when Kon said she looked nice. "Thank you," she'd do as he suggested, standing straight and trying to look more confident. "Yeah, I'll try to be more confident," that was something they'd been trying to work on for a while.

"So, uh, I can help a bit? Listen to any rumors," he'd glance around and clear his throat. "And uh....maybe I'll stumble onto something in the dreams I visit?" he'd shrug, unlikely but possible.

Kon nodded. It was good that people were taking things seriously. It meant that not everyone was taking the rumors at face value. It would also help with people noticing anything strange happening.

When Zeke asked if he—or in this case, she? They. If they could help, Konpeitō wondered if they meant in general or as a partnership. The idea of the latter made him giggle.

"I would certainly appreciate some help if that's what you're offering. If you only want to help out in a general sense, the more people keeping an eye out, the better... And I'm assuming you're visiting these dreams with permission...?" The last thing Kon wanted was to encourage someone to do something illegal and handle it clumsily.

She's nod. "Yeah, when my classmates have trouble sleeping I'll offer to help, go in, make their dreams more peaceful," it didn't happen often, but when it did she'd always help them. "Take a nightmare and turn it into something better," it was ironic considering her species. "Anyways," she'd nod and smile, "I'll keep my ears open, even in the dreams."

As they talked she'd have stood up straighter and now looked a bit more confident in herself. "And uh...thank you," she'd say with a smile. "It was nice talking about the gender stuff," they felt a little bit lighter, emotionally that is.

"Uh, is it ok if I give you my number? In case I find any info?" being able to ask more gender related questions would also be nice if it came up.

Konpeitō was impressed by Zeke. Even before the change to his diet, Kon had trouble with empathy and genuinely caring about strangers enough to help them with their troubles. It was always interesting to see someone speak about such an action as if it was no big deal.

"I'd really appreciate that, and you're welcome. It was actually nice to talk to someone else who understands my position. It feels like everyone is so progressive here that you can't talk about your problems without them being made small... but, er, I'm rambling. Yes, I'd like your number. He began the number-exchanging process to avoid lingering too long on all he said.

"I should also note that I'm a shape-shifter. I'll sometimes walk around in different forms. I'll try to give you a heads up if we ever plan to talk, alright?"

She'd give him her number, and accept his in return. "No problem," she'd say with a smile, "shapeshifting sounds cool." Despite the odd way the conversation had started it'd been a good example, she was happy they'd met Kon, it had been an insightful conversation.
