<div align=center>When was the last time he’d been on a real date?

From earlier that evening, the mystery had been solved between both the teens as to how exactly they felt about each other. And with the mutual agreement of ‘more-than-just-friends’ came a sense of both relief and comfort to the nephilim involved. He could be now be even more of himself around the naga, and at least try to show him how he’s appreciated without being terribly cautious. But as far as affection went, the two had only just begun. Now on date of sorts, Jericho did feel a bit pressured to make sure he didn’t screw up. This was the window of opportunity to test how this sort of thing would work out. Thus far, it seemed to be going alright.

As a sort of nod to what he had picked up in conversations with Ettein, he had taken him out for dinner to a Taiwanese restaurant he had found out about earlier that week. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was nice enough with service and food to be considered rather decent. Besides, neither one of the two were really properly dressed for anything swish. Not that Jericho could afford anything five star, anyway.

Dinner itself was nearing conclusion, as Jericho lazily poked at a small cake he had ordered for dessert, though his attention was set not on this but the young man that had accompanied him here. He wasn’t in a rush to finish and preferred to allow his ‘date’ to go about at his own pace. The check had already been covered, though he was willing to get Ettein whatever else he wanted. By the time the night was over he could possibly end up flat broke. He’d do a lot to impress and show that he cared, honestly.

Taking a glance outside, the stars had already peppered the deep sky and the night air hung with the aura of summer. It was refreshingly nice out, contrary to their meet up not too long ago when the environment beyond the confines of indoors was absolutely dreadful. This time, they would have a lot more freedom to do as they pleased. The night was still fairly young and they were on a popular side of town. No doubt the possibilities were endless, for both leisure and just what they could do with each other.

”Well, I gotta say, Taiwanese food certainly is interesting.” And that was certainly in a good way. He was an adventurous sort when it came to trying new foods, and he was particularly fond of Asian dishes, Taiwanese being no exception. But next time, perhaps he wouldn’t go for possibly one of the hottest things on the menu. Having your mouth feeling as if it were literally on fire but trying to play it cool as to not look like an idiot wasn’t something he wanted to repeat in the future. Still, it was pretty tasty. He smiled at Ettein, his exposed wings slightly rustling as he sat up a bit. ”Did you enjoy your meal?” He asked to him, knowing that he’d probably been here before but still hoping he had done right with going here.</div>

Never having been on a date before, this was both exciting and nerve-wracking for the young naga. Those 'butterflies' he found he always got around Jericho were only squirming about the pit of his stomach even more so as they had left the apartment. Being a solitary creature and comfortable (albeit a little lonely) on his own, he hasn't even given much thought to relationships, let alone what a date would be like. Being this inexperienced made him feel quite nervous of what was expected on a date but as the night progressed, he was beginning to realize it wasn't much different than some of their other interactions. It was different in that they both were honest about their attraction toward one another but it was just as easy as it had been to talk to him up in that tree the first day they met or in that cafe not long after.

Though of course being a bit unsure and anxious due to his lack of experience, he found he was rather comfortable in contrast to how he'd always imagined or heard how a first date might be. Perhaps that was in part to them having established friendship beforehand. Whatever it was, he was easily enjoying himself and the company of the Nephilim sitting across from him. Having chosen a favorite dish of his which wasn't overly spicy or overwhelming for him, his week long food deprivation was satisfyingly taken care of. Even being Taiwanese himself and having grown up on both traditional Chinese food his guardian regularly prepared as well as dinning on his fair share of the Asian cuisine on the island, he still was unable to handle heavily spiced food. Unfortunately this was a good majority of Asian food, including that of the country he was born in and of which he has grown a taste for as a child. Being part snake had its ups and downs and this he considered both; he could handle raw foods such as meat easily but digesting heavily flavored food wasn't easy and it both tasted gross to him and made him sick to his stomach a majority of the time. Another perk to being a snake was the ability to swallow most human food and live prey whole which made it possible to skip the flavor of a meal should he prefer it. However, in contrast to that, Ettein was a rather delicate and careful eater when it came to human food and kept to his table manners (not so much out of habit but this is one of the more feminine traits he has which falls closely in line with being picky and liking to be clean).

"It is." He agreed to the first of Jericho's words, wiping his mouth with a napkin after finishing off his food. He hadn't ordered any desert as he wasn't a big fan of sweets and was already full. He didn't mind the fact that Jericho had, and wasn't in a hurry at all. "I'm surprised you could handle something as spicy as that." Not that it was truthfully surprising, it was said more in a teasing manner than anything.

"I tried it once when I was younger...that was a quick lesson learned." He smiled. He was glad though, that Jericho seemed to enjoy his meal as that meant possible future visits to Asian restaurants...no matter what their relationship turned up like at the end of the night. "Oh, yes...I did." He gave his response to the nephilim's question, his full attention on him. "And I hope yours as well." His smile widened a bit.

"...Thanks for this." He added in quietly. Though the night wasn't over and he wasn't about to allow it to end so quickly (as much as his non-assertive personality would let him), he still felt the need to thank him. He felt a little guilty somehow about not helping out with the pay. He had no extra money at the moment as he had no job to earn money and was simply living off of what his guardian gave him for his basic needs. He didn't dwell on it however, taking it as an opportunity to pay next time (if he had the money and if there was a next time).

<div align=center>At Ettein's teasing, Jericho chuckled a bit in response. It was good for him at least that those types of things were looked over between them, as he had tried to get the attention of a couple of girls back at his old school only to find out they had a low tolerance for his personality. He wasn't perfect, but at least Ettein looked past his mess ups and mistakes. How else would they still be friends if he didn't forgive the fact that Jericho unintentionally tried to kill him? "I try to be hardcore, but..." He smiled sheepishly, "I think I'm gonna run whatever I get by you next time... You've got the common sense I don't have." And clearly he didn't.

It seemed as though Ettein did have more experience than him in these situations, which really made the sentiment more true than anything. Which was good, though hopefully there wouldn't be too many times where Jericho had to be grounded back into reality by the naga. He did try to think realistically, but when his ego was flared there was no telling what could happen. "I bet." He chuckled, seeing as though Ettein made the same mistake before. And as much as he thought the scenario was probably not fun, Jericho imagined how odd it would be to see his mild-mannered friend try to handle something as unpleasant as excessive spiciness. But seeing from his food choice he was one for overwhelming flavor. A small note was made on that one. He didn't want to give him something in the future that he didn't like, that was for sure.

Assuring that the meal was up to par with Ettein, Jericho obtained peace of mind knowing that he had done well to please him. So far, at least. "Good. I'm glad you did." With confidence he stated, though felt even more than what he implied. His assured tone did mellow down some however when Ettein stated his appreciation in a smaller voice. It was nice to receive gratitude, and in the air through his own powers he could feel it was genuine. It felt nice... Sort of like a warm hug without the touch involved. "Hey, I was more than happy to." He replied in a softly sweet tone, pulling off a more assured smile. After this he looked back up to see that they've both finished. "I mean, I've already made your hectic day even more chaotic earlier. This is the least that I can do to say that I'm still sorry." It was hard for him to let go of the fact that he almost tainted a perfectly good friendship and at the time blind romantic interest. He still owed it to him.

"So..." The dampened apology turned light again as he perked up. "Since we're almost done here, we should go out soon. But since you've been through a hell of a week I want you to decide what we do next... If you want to go home that's fine, too." He offered, hoping that Ettein would accept. "I'm down for anything... I've still got money left over so it's up to you." There were a lot of places to go downtown, and considering Jericho could fly they would be able to get anywhere swiftly if need be. "Just... No abandoned theaters." He laughed nervously.</div>

“I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing, really.” Ettein waved off Jericho’s comment of him having more common sense than the other. “You’re just adventurous and I don’t think that’s a bad quality to have at all.” Actually he rather liked that about the nephilim as it was one of the first things that really caught his attention about him. Although it was his voice to first rope him in, it was his many other qualities that kept his interest and one of those was his curiosity and sense of adventure. It gave him this almost wild or ‘bad boy’ sense about him (despite the fact that he was actually really sweet), and that was something Ettein found attractive in an individual. He himself was a rather curious person but often didn’t have the courage or motivation to do potentially dangerous or risky things. Not that he was afraid of everything but he was a little skeptical when it came to new food and certain things he was told not to do as a child…such as breaking into an abandoned building.

“Sometimes I wish I were more of a risk taker but…” He said, then shook his head almost immediately after. “Mm….maybe not but I like that you are.” After all, it was good they were different in some ways and if Jericho was as cautious as Ettein was most of the time they never would have gone to that abandoned building even though it turned out to be a rather terrifying experience, it was an experience nonetheless and it was fun for a bit. Besides, he wouldn’t mind doing something similar another time…but hopefully not something that involved giant vultures. If there were though, he’d have Jericho there to cling to….again. And that wasn’t a bad thing at all either.

It’s ok, really.” Ettein insisted upon Jericho’s apologizing once more…well maybe not flat out apologizing but it was still hinting at one. “I was planning one coming out tonight anyway, so maybe its better it happened the way it did.” He shrugged, really not angry at all about what happened. Terrified at the time, of course but it was easy for him to overlook it. Something similar would happened had he have just come out on his own if he didn’t time it exactly right and there wasn’t much of a way to tell if the nephilim was sleeping from under the bed anyhow. Next time though, this wouldn’t be much of a problem and that would make it less stressful for him. “I forgive you.” He added in, in hopes that maybe that would help clear the nephilim’s conscience.

At Jericho’s next question, Ettein found himself chewing on his bottom lip and humming under his breath in thought. “We could always go to a uhm not run-down theater.” He suggested, though it was more teasing than serious. “I don’t want to make you spend a lot of money though.” He turned the idea down almost immediately. He didn’t want to go back to their dorm just yet, as he was just now really waking up after having been asleep all day. “Oh!” He piped up with a new idea. “The beach is always really pretty at night and calm too…we could always go down there.” He mused with a light blush as he realized how sappy that might have sounded. He may as well have just said ‘I like long walks on the beach’ if he wanted to embarrass himself and show off more of his feminine side. Being partly a water snake, he was almost drawn to it. “I mean….it’s free after all.” He added in as an afterthought and as an attempt to hopefully not sound so silly as to suggest something sappy like this.

<div align=center>"Adventurous... Hm, sounds about right." He pondered a bit, knowing the sentiment was accurate. He was eager to explore and was a go getter. Finding out new things was a passion for him, and as he had seen this far with Ettein it seemed they shared that trait, though in different forms. While Jericho liked the daring attempts and risky expeditions, Ettein appeared to like observing and writing things down in his journal. Jericho hadn't seen the diary yet personally, though the idea was certainly intriguing. The naga probably had much knowledge on others around the island, and could possibly become a scientist of sorts in terms of mythical creatures and supernatural happenings... Which had always been something that interested Jericho. While he was also a bit of a risk taker and Ettein not so much, he appreciated his approach to curiosity and that spark he had when learning something new. "I guess I am a risk taker... It sometimes works against me, though. But you don't need to be one to have the kind of experience that you do." He smiled. "I like that about you- You're really bright and open minded... I mean, I haven't looked through your journal yet and I don't want to intrude on it, but I still think what you do is rather awesome. Can't say I've met anyone who has dedicated themselves to understanding the diversity of the creatures and people here..." There was this sort of awe he felt because of this fact, how he didn't need to go on extravagant adventures to try to gain worldly experience. Just simple chats and data collecting did just that. "I really kinda admire that, to be honest."

Though he had spoken earnestly and with an open heart, he let himself not completely melt over the things he was particularly fond of in Ettein. That exterior he utilized in hopes of preventing worry showed his ease further when he was comforted by the fact that he was truly forgiven. It was a genuine apology acceptance. That's all he needed to feel secure once more. "Thank you, you're far too kind." He replied after the 'I forgive you'. Still, seriousness wasn't kept up for too much of a long time as he cracked another smile. "At least next time when you do go through that I'll get what's going on. Gotta say though, another week without my roomie is gonna be tough." It may not be a long time, but a week might as well be considered an eon in 'more-than-just-friends-teenagers'' time.

With the mention of a potential theater date, Jericho snickered briefly and discreetly. "Yeah. No bloodthirsty vultures there." They weren't bloodthirsty per se, but the exaggeration worked. But it appeared that wasn't destined to be their plan judging by how cautious his date was about prices. Honestly, this was a relief. Concession food alone was pricey enough to make Jericho sweat. Naturally then he was more enthusiastic about the word 'free'. The beach, huh? "Beach huh? Hm, haven't been down there since I moved here..." He quite enjoyed the ocean whenever he took vacations back home. Though usually he was on private beaches as so he could have his wings out without being potentially persecuted. But they didn't have to worry about that here, and plus they were alone. "I like that idea. Plus this place is pretty close to the ocean so it's only a little over a block away." He nodded upon confirmation. "Sounds like a plan then." With that, Jericho began to assemble his things yet wait patiently for Ettein. Being as they were close to the door Jericho stood and held it open. "Besides, free works for me too."

Sorry if it's not great DX

Ettein once again found himself blushing that night and flattered by jericho’s words. He never really thought much of his own interests in terms of being interesting to others as well; it was simply something that had caught his attention as a child and the same was with writing in his journal. Actually, he thought it was a little strange to others. Weren’t journals or diaries and the like normally seen as odd to others? Not that he wrote the day’s events in his journal or had any ‘deep dark secrets’ in there anyhow. His was more of a bestiary of sorts but it was still just as important to him. In fact, he normally didn’t allow others to touch it for fear of it getting messed up somehow, but Jericho’s words had him thinking. Especially when he said he admired it.

“If you want…I can show you sometime.” He offered with a smile. “I don’t usually let others see it, but I don’t think I’d mind if you did.” And that was the truth. He liked Jericho and the fact that he was interested in this strange hobby of his and actually, the idea of sharing this with him wasn’t bad at all. He’d be happy to show him his journal, he decided silently. He found his smile widening a bit at Jericho’s thanking him and he fell silent for a moment as he listened to what he had to say next.

“oh uhm….yeah…” He trailed off in thought for a moment, becoming a little shy with his next words. “Next time I’ll be sure to tell you but still, I’d have to ask that you not bother me.” He said honestly, shifting a bit and toying with a strand of his hair as was habitual. Though, he did find what Jericho said to be rather flattering in a way. “…Not just because it’s embarrassing…I mean it is and I still don’t like it but as I’ve said before, I don’t see very well during that time and I don’t want to accidentally bite you.” He explained, hoping the other would understand. He really was afraid of lashing out at someone in such a vulnerable state considering that it was difficult to determine what was what or who was who and he went off more on instinct than anything in that time. Biting someone was one of his greatest fears; he knew what it did to most people and wasn’t sure if they had anti venom for Krait bites on the island and he didn’t think he would be able to live with himself if he severely harmed someone or was the cause of their death.

To deter him from those dark thoughts though, he cell phone vibrated in his pocket. At first, he ignored it and gave a small laugh to the ‘bloodthirsty vultures’ comment…even though just the thought had a shiver running up his spin. He allowed his phone to ring several more times as Jericho had his attention and he didn’t want to interrupt him by answering it. He was glad that Jericho liked the idea of going down to the beach and didn’t seem to think it was as sappy as it had sounded to Ettein when he said it. He stood up along with Jericho, planning to answer his phone but it had stopped ringing so he decided to leave it but knowing who it was; his guardian, since he had no other real contacts in his phone, he knew he would keep calling until he answered and then most likely yell at him for not picking up the first time. Even though Raiden is an open minded guy, he is still strict in some ways and disliked having his phone calls ignored as that was his only way of contacting the young naga and checking up on him. Once out the door, his phone began its silent ringing in his pocket once more and he knew he had to answer it this time or he’d wind up both worrying Raiden and ending up with even more of an earful.

“Uhm…” He gave Jericho a sheepish smile, taking a few steps away from the door and pulling his phone out. “I should take this.” He said, hoping it wouldn’t annoy or anger Jericho too much. He’d try to make it quick anyhow and so answered the phone with a greeting that sounded like the English word ‘way’ and then proceeded to brace himself for what came next. He flinched a little at the yelling, pulling the phone away from his hear slightly. Not only was it loud because he was being chewed out but because there seemed to a lot of background noise where Raiden was and so he had to speak even louder to be heard. He gave Jericho another sheepish look, knowing he could probably hear an angry Chinese man ranting on the other end of the phone. The yelling soon subsided though and after a short and fast paced conversation in Mandarin, the phone was hung up and Ettein was left looking even more embarrassed than before.

“Ai ya” He huffed in something of a whiney tone with the ‘ya’ drawn out a bit, and pocketed his phone. “Why does he have to call at the worst times?” He put his attention back on Jericho, his cheeks now thoroughly flushed as he ran a hand through his hair and attempted to regain his composure. “Sorry about that.” He apologized. “Uhm…should we go then?”

Aha…I really don’t know why I felt the need to put that in there….atmosphere I guess and it’s kinda funny…maybe^^

<div align=center>As Jericho was a naturally curious person, he took a great amount of interests in the interests of others. He knew what it was like to have a passion for something. Hell, he considered his guitar his baby. He didn't think what Ettein did was weird at all. Somebody had to keep a record for other mythical creatures that wasn't a biased human account. "I'd love to." He confirmed simply yet excitedly. He wanted to see what he's compiled over the years, but he also didn't want to invade his privacy. That was a no-no. "You'd probably have some more accurate information than what I've read in other Bestiary type books. Then again, most of that kind of stuff is based on legend rather than experience. And what the humans that write it make of it." Being surrounded by them growing up, he was often taught in school that creatures like them were monsters and humans were the brave warriors that slain them. It made him question whether or not these stories were true. Because if so, many innocent could have been killed as a result of excess human pride. And looking at Ettein, he was a bit too cute to have someone dead-set on killing him. Or at least he thought so. "Still got a lot to learn, though. Things aren't just always how they seem, I guess." God knows how many times he's read that a fallen angel was evil incarnate. Jesus, he was scared of saying something offensive, let alone doing something that constituted as pure evil. Humans sure did have a weird way of twisting the truth. But hey, he was raised by one.

Though the offer was light, it seemed upon the topic of shedding it was best for Ettein to be left alone. But it was more out of a fear of hurting him than anything. Which was understandable. "Gotcha." He replied simply in response, making a mental note of that. He just didn't want to potentially permanently damage his friend, or kill him for that matter. How thoughtful. "Makes sense." He added in with an understanding smile, knowing he was doing what was best. He added in a small 'thanks' as well, appreciative that he was just looking out for best interests.

Though as they were being involved with each other, the sound of a buzzing cellphone broke the 'bubble' surrounding them from the rest of the world. While he admired the fact that he was using basic manners and keeping attention on him rather than other distractions, the all was repetitive and sounded rather important. Jericho didn't mind anyway, he trusted that his date would only do what he saw most necessary. Like answering the urgent call. "Uh... Yeah." Jericho chuckled after he finally decided to pick it up. Not wanting to overhear something he shouldn't, he checked his own phone really quick as he waited for Ettein to finish. Not like he could hear something not meant for him anyway, as it seemed the conversation conducted itself in a foreign language. He did wince and bite his lip with a bit of humored concern as it appeared that the other man was either pissed off or in a really loud place. Or maybe both. But with that glance at the phone his concentration quickly moved to the time on the clock and how his phone was blown up with text messages. Some from his classmates he's gotten to know, others... From his mother. He didn't know whether to thank god for long distance or condemn him for it, because the now son-less woman had gone mental over trying to make sure he was okay. Stuff along the lines of 'Don't be doing anything stupid' and 'Take it easy because if you get stressed your feathers start to molt and that becomes a hot mess and I won't be there to vacuum it up', and best of all 'do you have a girlfrieeeeend?" were clear in just the lock screen of his phone. It was a bit embarrassing, so at least it was safe to say that Ettein wasn't the only one getting his head chewed off by a guardian of sorts. He pocketed it back when Ettein was finished, himself smiling a bit humbled. "Everything cool?" He asked vaguely, not wanting to intrude into details but concerned if he was really in trouble or not. But it appeared that he had the all clear, which was a relief.

With that out of the way Jericho nodded, closing the door behind him and looking just down the street to see the beach soaked in night time. It was stunning really to almost be able to pinpoint every one of the constellations out as stars brightened the sky. Even the moon was present, albeit it shrinking. Still, the salty air carried a warm breeze and marked the night as a near perfect one. "Mhm." He replied, before an idea sparked in his head. It was a bit daring, but he hoped Ettein would play along. He cast a mischievous grin to Ettein before winking to him. "Beat you to it." With that, he took off down the street, not too fast as to allow him to catch up but obviously in attempts to spice things up a bit. There was no one else out anyway, making the experience theirs alone. </div>

That easily brought a smile to Ettein’s face, flattered that Jericho seemed so interested in something that held such importance to the naga. It meant a lot to him that Jericho both was interested in his hobby and admired it in a way. Having yet to run into someone who was just as curious about him as he was of them, it was nice and in a way and he found that despite the fact that he was rather ok with being alone, he actually liked the attention.

“Good.” He smiled. That settled it, he was going to show Jericho his journal when he hasn’t known anyone, even Raiden. It was his private collection of ‘data’ he’s put together over the years but he was beginning to really open up to the idea of sharing it. Especially with someone he liked as much as he did Jericho.

After an inconvenient call from his guardian who was both asking how he was and hounding him to keep his grades up and that nonsense, Ettein found himself rather embarrassed. Though, it seemed Jericho didn’t think much of it and that put him at ease. After all, if he hadn’t answered, Raiden would have called over and over until he got an answer and if ignoring the first call earned him an earful, a second time would have been even worse. Now with that out of the way, they could head down to the beach as they planned and have the rest of the night to themselves. Though, just as he was about to give an answer that everything was alright when Jericho asked, the nephilim had took off toward the beach. It didn’t take him long to figure out what was going on and to head off after the winged teen, calling a ‘now way!’ after him and laughing as he did. He could probably easily beat him if he shifted into his naga form as he was much quicker but he wasn’t one for cheating and besides…this was fun.

ahh it's soo short! Lol sorry....still a major brain fart on this one but oh well...at least it's something and we can move on :P

<div align=center>When taking off for the beach, Jericho stopped at nothing to get to the sand bordering to coast. This however was due to the adrenaline high that was revving through his system. He hadn't felt this good on foot... In awhile, actually. Usually this sense of euphoria was associated with him soaring on air and not by swift earthly travel. But with the combination of the rest of the night with just how great it was to begin to feel a special kind of good with someone else, everything pieced together in the best sort of fashion. He was having fun, and judging by the cry located within the near distance his date was as well. Which was... Perfect, actually. Everything this far had gone a special sort of perfect. The ups and downs of a bit too spicy dinner and ratting out by a guardian only served to make the evening more alive, and more unpredictable. Honestly? That was exactly the way Jericho liked it.

Practically vaulting over the partition surrounding the sand and the open entrance to it Jericho landed on his feet and looked back up to Ettein, who was not far behind. "Told you! Damn, still got it in me." He declared in an upbeat tone, though directed the latter part to himself. But not one to be a poor sport (even if the occasion wasn't calling for anything official) he smiled more gently to the approaching naga. "Though I gotta admit, if I would have warned you properly you would've kicked my ass."

Waiting patiently for Ettein to catch up to his side, he waited in the sand, unfurling his wings as they had all the beach to themselves. The umbrellas and towels of sunbathers and swimmers were now all but gone, and the lifeguard booths were positively empty. The equally-as-vacant salty sea breeze rustled the feathers upon Jericho's halfway open wings, its grey plumes fluttering just like the feeling building up in his chest. He ran a hand through his rusty reddish brown hair in a bit of nervousness, though he wouldn't truly allow himself to show just how antsy he really was. Pride was an essential fraction with him. But it was like ice, melting with the warm that came with being around him. There were so many things he wanted to admit to him- but despite their assurance in liking each other, Jericho wasn't sure if he was ready to admit how exactly these emotions came to be, and just how he made him feel. But he wanted to tell him. He wanted to tell him everything, from how flawless his features to the kindness in his heart. And as the evening previously wore on, this subtle thought had started to bang against Jericho's head like an alarm clock that was getting increasingly harder to ignore.

He peered up to the sky, the velvet nighttime softly embracing the island below. But as the glow of the sun died down so did the physical heat it brought with it. Despite the jacket Jericho had worn the chill did cause his eased feathers to bristle, and no doubt did he predict that it wasn't as pleasant for Ettein either. It wasn't terrible, but... Why waste this golden opportunity?

The clothes he had given Ettein to wear anyway were only so good as to lounge around indoors or a tepid outside environment. But the brisk breeze? Perhaps that would be a bit much. "It's chillier than I thought it would be... Then again, we're right next to the ocean." Common sense, anyway. Siding beside the shorter boy Jericho looked out to the waves, the low tide causing half the beach to be slicked back with wet sand. He looked back at Ettein, though this time his eye sight wasn't exactly on his face. "Since I'm happy, my body's warmer than it usually is... And with you being sorta cold blooded and all I just wanted to- Well, uh..." And finally, to the point.

Shaky fingers blindly traced towards the side of the other's, hovering a bit before his hand before a hesitation. Words of self assurance ran through Jericho's head as he contemplated his course of action. Knot forming in his throat, Jericho flicked his foggy grey eyes that were presently flecked with jade towards their hands. It only meant one thing.

"W-would you mind?" </div>

Once setting foot on the beach, Ettein had an inclination to rid himself of his shoes so he could feel the sand between his toes. That was one of the reasons why he loved coming down here; he liked to feel the environment around him and the beach was the ideal place for such a thing. There were so many things why the beach was one of his favorite places to come alone and to just enjoy but there were so many more reasons why being here with someone else made the experience all the better. It felt nice to share with someone, a spot he had once only come to for solitude. Even though they just got there, Ettein was already thoroughly enjoying himself. Dinner was nice and having the chance to get to know Jericho a little better was as well but the beach was so beautiful and even after having been yelled at earlier and their date intervened, the night was only getting better.

A chill ran down Ettein’s spine and a breeze swept over the beach and he immediately decided against possibly taking his shoes off and walking through the waves that hit the shore. It was a compelling thought, but not with a chill, however slight it was, in the air. Ettein has always loved the beach; there was a kind of free feeling about it and it had never failed to lift his mood should he be down or calm him should he be irritated. Many times as a child he had come here for one of those very reasons; maybe he was upset or needed to think something through. It had often been an escape for him but now, in this moment he wasn’t escaping from anything and rather, embracing the night for all it had to offer.

Both Jericho’s playful gloating and statement afterward easily brought a smile to the naga’s lips and drew a laugh from him. He shook his head in a playful disapproval in spite of what Jericho said. That was one of the many things he liked about the nephilim; he made him laugh and smile and that always something good about a person. This was perfect; the serene beach and the mood that hung over it as well as the dinner they had, he couldn’t ask for more. Though, it seemed he didn’t have to as Jericho made a move to grab for his hand.

At first, he was a little confused as to why Jericho was acting a little strangely but when he came closer and reached for his hand, he understood. He hesitated for but a moment as his stomach seemed to do a flip and then without saying anything, he completed Jericho’s attempt for him and took his the nephilim’s hand, intertwining his fingers with his. They had done something similar when they first met but that was out of convenience and this…this was more intimate and it had the naga both blushing and his heart beating a little faster. Being practically an outsider to relationships, this kind of thing wasn’t something Ettein had really done and so it made him a little nervous but it was a good kind of nervous and the warmth that came with the action was welcomed as well. Granted, he had already practically clung to him and hugged him earlier on but both those times didn’t hold the same feel, albeit they were nice in a way but this was somehow different and it was a different Ettein liked.

“No, I don’t mind at all.” He finally spoke up after a moment, looking up at the taller teen, his cheeks clearly colored with a deep blush. “You’re hand is warm.” He added in a soft voice.

Sorry if this is kinda crappy; was tired when writing this heh
