Steven slipped through the door out of the juice bar, holding it open for the other young man with him. Looking around as the appear on deck and looking out at the ocean. If it hadn't been for the original boat trip to the island, Steven would have been slightly on edge. However it seemed that like most things in life, they dodn't seem as bad the second time round. Turning back to the other man, Steven let the door goes so it closed behind them.

Steven was about to ask what they should do, when he realised that the other man had already asked him. Leaving him slightly in an awkward siuation of having to be the one to come with an idea. Delaying for time and to let his mind come up with an idea, as well as following through on old habit. Steven smiled and spoke. "By the way I'm Rosett. You are?" Steven asked gesturing to him in such a way, that his hand could be taken for the offer of a handshake or just as a gesture. So that either way he could play it off.

Awaiting a reply Steven would shake the other man hand if they did take it that way. "I heard there was a games room somewhere on board. Is there anything that you like to play?" Steven asked not sure what else to suggest, but they were young and games were what he expected was expected. Though Steven himself tended to though of a more interlectual nature.

Even though he was only dragged in there by his excitable cousin, Devias was still disappointed that there weren't a lot of people there. Lorencia was in and out immediately, which left Devias with two other people, but that was soon cut down by one. He waited patiently, but he had a feeling that no one else would join the room anymore so he set out to leave. However, he offered the idea to the other person as well, who agreed that both of them could do something other than wait.

Steven, as his information card from before revealed, introduced himself in a more formal fashion. "Devias Hel'Sarie," he responded, taking his hand and giving it a firm shake. Steven brought up a game room in the cruise, which as he remembered was listed on the brochure. He wasn't all that crazy about games to be honest, but he does enjoy them. "I don't really have a preference for them. So long as it doesn't involve being unnecessarily injured, I'm fine with it. I suppose that will be our first stop?"

Steven listened as the Devias introduce himself in return. Wondering where he was from, as the name seemed quite original to Steven. Though subconciously it made Steven slightly more wary of the other man though he didn't show it. However having a name that sounded slightly like the word devious followed by a surename that contained the word hel. Made Steven think his original assumption that the man was human due to his apperances was wrong. Though his mind assumed something demonic Steven was unaware that he was wrong, but he was still not dumb enough to voice his assumptions. Under the it makes an ass out of you and me ideology.

"A pleasure to meet you." Steven replied to him before leading back to the topic at hand of games. "Not many games I can think of that cause harm, well maybe sports if you include them. I prefer things like chess or go. Can't see any harm happening from those." Steven added with a small laugh, pulling out one of the small cruise leaflets in order to examine the ship map. "I think that we go this way." Steven said gesturing to the right and taking a few steps and looking back to see if Devias was following.

Chess and go? Those were two games he was familiar with and was glad there was some familiarity he could feel in this world. Although he said he had no preferences to games, he was drawn more to the quiet types where the brain had to be the tool to use. Maybe they'd have some mind games in the game room. Perhaps a trivia quiz or the like. Although he may not know the answers to them, it would be a good place to learn something.

With Steven leading the way, Devias followed him towards the game room. Devias was looking out towards the vast expanse of water and couldn't help but make an observation. "This world has so much water in it. It seems unreal." He had seen the vast ocean from the island, but it was completely different when he could see nothing but water surround their vessel. He had only seen such things in the movies brought over to Sol.

As they walked Steven looked out over the ocean due to Devias' words. The comment was one the Steven had to agree with, however Steven was more curious with the fact Devias had brough it up in the first place. "Yeah it does. I'm gonna guess that where you are from is pretty dry then?" Steven replied the curiousness in his tone. He hoped that there were no bad memories about his home. Steven expected that out of all the people who ended up at MC, that quite a few came from less then peaceful worlds. Though it wasn't exactly like earth could be called bastion of all thing fair and just.

"What gets to me though is just how big the place is compared to us." Steven mused aloud himself. "Billions of people and more then half the world is practically unused." He continued, thinking about how the ocean was indeed part of that went unused. 70% of the planet covered by water and all they used it for was boats between land, fishing and dumping waste, and even then huge parts of the sea went by mostly unused by man.

Dragging his gaze from the ocean, Steven continued to lead the way to the games room. The last thing he wanted to do was embarress himself by walking into a wall cause he wasn't looking where he was going because of the conversation.

"Compared to here, yes," he'd say. Not that his world was an arid desert, it was actually quite grassy outside the central cities with plenty of life flourishing on each island. There was plenty of water underground, and a few island had prestine waterfalls and streams.

When Steven brought up the size of the world, Devias was reminded of the first time he learned of just how gigantic it truly was. And thinking about it again, he was still intrigued. Before he came to Manta Carlos and learning that there were huge continents outside of it, he had a hard time grasping the scales he found in books and what was taught in their school. Experience definitely was the best teacher.

"I understand that there are a lot of denizens here who weren't originally from this world, like myself. Are you native to this world by chance?" Devias was keeping pace with Steven, his gaze now forward after admiring the vast ocean.

Devias question actually surprised Steven. Since arriving at the island, Steven had started growing used to asking other where they were from because their otherworldly natures. However while people had asked about Steven powers, he couldn't recall someone actually asking if he was from another realm. "Yeah I'm from another island called Britain, though I spent most of my life in a country called the United States." Steven anwsered making sure to explain the places rather then just expecting Devias to have of heard of them since arriving from where ever they had been.

"So what is your home like?" Steven asked in return not having much idea beyond the fact it wasn't pratically a ball of rock covered with water and some land managing to jut above the sea like the earth was.

Still walking as they talked, they reached the games room just after Steven had asked his question. Seeing as he had more been leading the way it seemed, Steven opened the door and held it open politely. Letting the chatter of others in the room gaming, come out to meet them. Steven would wait to let Devias enter before slipping in after him and looking around at the room closing the door after him.

Britain and United States. He could recall seeing both of those when he was looking at this world's map. The sheer size of the world compared to his was still fascinating to him. Before he could ask more about these places, Steven got to ask him first about Sol.

"It's very different than here, that's for certain. For one, the entirety of our islands float in space, accomplished by a great concentration of magic, which seeped into everything inside the Void, be it flora or fauna. As such, everything found there has magical properties."

They entered the game room and Devias continued to speak about Sol. "You may be interested in visiting it, but because of the nature of the dominant magical energy there, you would stand to lose a part of yourself as the Void forces itself into you."

Steven listened to Devias awnsers about his world intently. Though he found not that easy to imagine in the context of reality. Islands floating in space, while easy enough to picture and he had done so before due to books of fiction. However to think of it as actually exsisting went against most of how the universe worked. He knew that magic could explain the inconsistences away he couldn't help but think of how such islands could have breathable air, unless the whole space they had it. Obviously they must have been a way otherwise Devias wouldn't make it sound like Steven would be capable of visiting. Unless the changes he mention made someone capable of doing so.

"Sounds like a place I wouldn't truly concieve unless I did see it. Then again there is a phrase in this world called seeing is believing." Steven replied leading them passed occupied tables before finding and empty one. He dragged a chair and spun ito to face the table. Before looking over to different game boxes on the shelves. The shelves had more traditional games, board game, cards even what looked to Steven as ana old backgammon set. They weren't the only type of games the room held though. A pool table, and a tv set up with a couple games consoles stuck out. What looked like it might have been a dart board cabinet on the wall was locked closed. Likely due to this cruise being ment for those of a younger age. "So any preferances?" Steven asked as he slunk into a seat.

"I wouldn't fault you on that," he replied as the two of them continued with their excursion and stopping when they reached an unoccupied table. From here, he could see many board games they could use, as well as a few gaming machines some distance away. "My world wasn't created naturally, so it's only reasonable for it to be difficult to comprehend without witnessing it yourself. While the same laws of physics applies there, it's often mixed with magical anomalies. Being in this world, it made me see just how much magic played a role in the daily life in the Void."

He looked at the board games. "I could always go for some chess. But I understand that not everyone enjoys that game." Devias wondered if the rules were the same in both worlds. It was possible. "Fancy a game? Or should we take advantage of the unoccupied gaming stations?"
