Another wry smile. "I-It's Allan..." he said, hearing the angel's voice trail off, understanding that he was grasping for a name he didn't know yet. "S-sorry, I just have nightmares about getting attacked in my sleep, is all." he chuckled softly. It wasn't entirely a lie. He had nightmares of drowning more often but there were others less normal. He wishes it was only imagination and not his premonitions.

Allan's eyes followed the angel's as his turned to the office's door. Whoever that was in there might be busy but he couldn't just outright tell the angel that, wouldn't he? He doesn't know how things work around here just yet.

He wondered how long the angel had been standing here if he seemed so impatient. Whoever was in there could be enduring a long lecture, or having a long argument. It could be anything of that sort. He turned to the angel as he was asked a question, "Ah... if you meant to the school, well... no one could actually figure out how to help me with my ability... sort of. My parents even went to getting me exorcised one time when I was in high school." He laughed, finally feeling a bit more comfortable with speaking to the stranger, "Everyone got really worried so I decided to find my way here... but I guess I didn't think it through." he added.

"Oh uh... I didn't catch your name..?"

"Oh right! " Gabe nodded, making a mental note of the name although that didn't mean he'd necessarily remember it the next time they met. He tended to forget people's names if he didn't really know them all that well, not because he was forgetful exactly, but just because he didn't place as much importance on those people. Gabe thought the next thing the man told him was a weird thing to admit to a stranger, before Allan followed it with a soft trail of laughter and the angel assumed he was joking.

Of course, a lot of things could be happening in that office but Gabriel never really considered what was happening in other people's lives. He usually thought of himself first, and everyone else second. That kind of thinking was probably why a couple of people classified the angel as a jerk. "Your ability? " Gabe asked, wondering what the man's power was. It wasn't surprising that he had a power, nearly everyone had a power here after all.

Gabriel was more interested in what the man said next. "Exorcised? He echoed, with the tiniest giveaway in his tone that he was surprised. "What, are you a demon or something? " He hadn't sensed it off the other man, maybe he'd been too caught up in his own impatience to notice. But he'd met a demon before and that time he wouldn't have been able to miss it. "Gabe," The angel supplied warily, "well Gabriel really but I don't like that. "

Allan had almost laughed at how he managed to have surprised the angel with his 'joke'. He had always told it as one, but he was sure as he was it was a real story. Nothing happened though. The local apothecary couldn't do anything but rub random oils on his forehead, nor the priest in their town could only shower him with water. Nothing came from all that fuss and he still had nightmares and sleepwalked. Well, sleeppainted the walls.

Almost like he'd avoided the query on his ability, he replied to his question about him being a demon. "No, I'm not, but my family thought I was being possessed by one or something along that line." he shrugged his shoulders. Urban stories of possession was popular where he grew up; that was no shock to anyone if a kid was targeted. "I mean, they probably assumed that from some other related incident. But I assure you I'm not a demon." he said, looking back up at the angel with a very small smile. In truth, he was only trying to keep together — but that always left him rambling about old things.

"So.. Gabe then... It's... nice to meeting you." Allan said, managing to keep his voice from stuttering and mustering up a better smile.

Gabe probably would have started laughing out loud if Allan had mentioned any of his stories about his past, especially the ones to do with painting the walls in his sleep . In all honesty he probably would have thought the man was trying to tell him a tall tale. It was something that had to be seen to be believed, but then again Gabriel coming back from the dead was like that too.

The angel noticed Allan avoiding the question about his ability, but he didn't push the subject. He hadn't told the man his powers after all, but then again Allan hadn't asked. "Oh right, " Gabe raised an eyebrow, but secretly felt some sort of relief. It'd have been dangerous if he'd stopped being any to pick up on demon presence. "No, man, I believe you." Gabe warmed to the other again. The angel nodded, "yeah dude. I hope to see you around. " He didn't say that to everyone he met. It looked like the person in the office was about to leave, and Gabe gathered up his work ready to bring it into the staff. He gave Allan a little nod before heading inside the office.

Allan had a normal smile as he nodded to the angel. His smile was normal in that, it wasn't forced and he wasn't exactly nervous. It was a relief for him to actually run into someone who glared daggers for bumping into them, or snapping at him — or at least that's how he usually hear it. For one, the person who'd spoken might have normally talked like that. Still, Allan couldn't shrug the anxiety away.

"Ah, yeah... I... still have a few more things to do... I'll see you around then...!" he said, beginning to walk after Gabe disappeared into the office.
