Anthia had a habit of messing around within the Rosales kitchen to make snacks. Of course, she was always supervised by someone to make sure she didn't hurt herself or blow something up while she was trying something new. However, this time she utilized her abilities as an opportunity to promote herself rather than fatten her siblings with sugar. (Though it's not like she'd be against them eating the cookies anyway.) What she created were several batches of sun shaped cookies. They were perfectly golden and delicious-looking. They smelled warm and inviting. Some of them were plain while others contained sweet filling. Annie was organized enough to have labeled them in different boxes prior, so she could lay them out on a long table with small signs that signaled what type of cookies they were. She also made space for drinks. The drinks were various tasty fruit juices with bright, warm colors. Cups and plates were on a tiny table right next to the large table of food. Since this was for the sake of promotion, it didn't cost anything at all. The table was beautifully decorated with summer theme galore with a "Vote For Anthia!" sign written in stylized paint. The location was outside within a heavy traffic part of the courtyard, so it would be hard to miss the setup. She had some backup food prepared in case the crowd gobbled up all that was on display.

"Hello everyone!~ Free snacks and drinks here!"

The smell of baked goods and the call of a child's voice caught Vinanye's attention. He looked at all the treats and clapped in excitement, digging around in a box of his own to hold out a sweetened apple treat shaped like a blooming flower to Annie. "Trade?"

Vinnie noticed the sign on the table and pointed to it, the smile never letting up. "You are also running? How nice! You are sure to get many votes because you are adorable, and also your baking smells good." Vin held out his free hand. "Vinianye Reed! it is nice to meet you, Anthia."

Dorian was going around scoping out the competition, not in any hostile manner, though there was a fair amount of judgment going on. He wanted to see if he could respect these people as opponents. There was a part of him, too, that looked for people similar to he was, and these people were a fair assumption, given that they stepped into the plate like this. He walked through a quaint little booth with cookies and refreshments. They didn't seem to be for sale. He picked a cookie up and bit into it, smiling.

Anthia Everglow-Rosales. Newly adopted, but much like most of the Rosales, didn't have that bite the gang was usually capable of. Annie here looked especially sweet. Not similar at him, no, but she had a warm, motherly appeal for someone so young.

"Anthia Everglow-Rosales, right? What position are you running? Did you make this? They don't seem storebought." He took a sniff of the cookie again. Nope, not at all. Baked with love, and all those sweet, wholesome cliches. Dorian smiled at her and extended a handshake. "Dorian Crawford. Good to meet you."

Anthia's booth was approached by two gentlemen. One had pale green hair. How soothing! She did not expect him to offer something as trade. She wasn't looking for payment, but that treat appeared awfully scrumptious. She nodded and accepted the trade with a smile. The shape in particular appealed to her greatly. She wanted to try her hands at making the treat later.

"Thank you very much! Pick whichever flavor you like!"

There were other people around that were of course interested in trying out the snacks, but the person that grabbed her attention was the very attractive brunette with glasses that arrived at the table. Of course, she wasn't attracted to him in the sexual sense but he seemed like a nice guy! A blush crossed her face as the green-haired man made a compliment.

"I hope so.....I'm actually running for a seat in general. I made these cookies myself! It wasn't hard, but it did take a long time to make so many batches."

She wasn't really one for President, so it would surprise her completely to be put in such a role. Then again, she was leader of the Maid Cafe now.....there were just so many big changes going on!

Vinanye picked his cookie carefully, unsure what any of the flavors were, but determined to find out by sight alone! The Fae opted for one of the filled cookies and grinned when he heard Dorian asking Anthia the same questions he had asked Vin.

The Fae felt it would be rude to disturb so, for now, he quietly nibbled on his cookie, trying to determine all the ingredients. Him and Annie would have to share recipes for sure!

Dorian grinned from ear to ear. She was as cute as she looked. He liked being surprised by that. God, he wanted to squish her cheeks and hug her, but that was probably too much. He threw a sideways glance at Vin, cheeks coloring a little. "Smells good and tastes good! I'm going to guess you bake regularly, huh? What sort of things do you make?"

He felt like hanging out for a while. He hummed thoughtfully, and smiled. "Well, Annie, if things go well we'd be working together! You, me, and Vin here. I'm looking forward to that. I'm sure you have a good chance. What sort of platforms are you putting up?"

Sage waved as he approached everyone, smiling his usual gentle grin. "Hey all! Dorian, Vinanye, and... Anthia, right? I'm Sage, in case anyone isn't sure." He picked up a chocolate chip cookie and bit into it, eyes drifting closed with the delicious flavor. "These are lovely, Anthia. You've got a real talent. I hope we'll be working together in the future~"

"By platforms, do you mean what I intend to do as a student council member?"

She noticed there were a lot of chocolate chip sun cookies missing. Yikes, did that many people like them? Maybe she should have made more of those....Anthia curtsied for Dorian. That had to be rectified first before she could answer him.

"One moment please."

The girl turned so that her side was facing the fellow politicians. There were plastic containers containing more cookies where she was looking. Clearly these were kitchen containers; she must have gotten them from home. She found the one containing the rest of the chocolate chip sun cookies and placed the cookies down in the empty spot. As she set them up, she began to speak once more.

"I'm interested in helping students coming into the school. While I believe the academy has good systems in place for new students, there are many that struggle with adapting to the new environment, especially those from less-than-friendly backgrounds. It would be beneficial if we had more events set in place to help people find their comfort zones and blend in better with the student body."

What helped was that she was speaking based on experience. After all, she was just a poor orphan a while ago. She had a....less-than-pleasant past that made it difficult for her to socialize and speak out. Now that she was feeling more proactive, she wanted to help those with similar problems.

"In order to ensure the academy remains an open and welcoming place, I would also like to tackle bullying and discrimination with better, enforced policies."

Anthia then realized that there was yet another candidate that was likely listening to her words. He also uttered a compliment towards her she believed. Whoops! Her cheeks flushed red.

"I-I'm sorry Sage, hi! I'm Anthia. And thank you!"

That took her out of her random speech moment.

Sage smiled at the young girl. "Of course! And that was quite some speech you just gave there. I admire your goals for the school, and I do hope you get a chance to accomplish them. Bullying and discrimination are major issues, as is a lack of comfort within the student body. You make fine points, and I wish you luck."

It was true. Sage liked the head on this girl's shoulders. She was a good cook and a better thinker, and given the chance, Sage hoped she would be skilled enough to put her ideas into play.

Dorian watched Annie refill the cookies with a smile. She was one of those lady types. He could tell. It was precious. "That's totally a cause for concern! It's certainly turning into a real problem too, because of the new Station. Aliens, people cut off from civilization, and other such people don't really know how the island works, and some don't seem to like classroom settings. You've got a good head on your shoulders, Annie. Good job. It's an honor to be running with someone like you, and if you ever want to implement those platforms outside the council, my Political Alliance would love to have you among our ranks."

He bowed a little, a small smile on his face. "What grade are you in, dear?"
