Okay, so, during the battle, say, if we have fire power we would say something like:

*stoots flames at [opponate]*

Right?

Sorry, I'm fairly new to RPGs.

You could say that.
But it's easier if you say something like. 'She shot flames at her opponent'
It's just like a normal RPG.

EX:
Lady dodged the attack, and quickly shot flames at Man. She hoped he wouldn't be able to reflect them, because she was running out of strength.

Only longer, and the people wouldn't be Lady and Man and you could say whatever you want.

If you want I can make a banner for their sig. You know, "My character won the comp" or something like that.
