Coming clean

Cody was pacing back and forth waiting for his brother to arrive, Sai had been the first one he told when he got the sex change procedure and also the first one telling him about not wanting to go home. Which was why he hadn't been in the ocean in so long, he heard a knock at the door and jumped slightly but he realized that it was his brother. He quickly walked over to open the door and let his brother in. "Hey Sai, it's been awhile" He said ushering in his brother and quickly shutting the door.

Yes he was a little jumpy and hoped that Sai wouldn't notice right away. He had no clue who to explain how stupid he had been. He seemed to always get himself into trouble by dating creeps and the one time he dated a respectable guy he was a creep in disguise. he caught the worst breaks when it came to dating.

Cody smiled sadly at his brother and took a deep sigh, of course his brother would notice that something was up with him. It was why he didn't want to have his siblings over, they were too close not to notice something. Though if he was being honest, it was kind of suspicious to not invite them over after the remodeling. "Let me make you some coffee, before I explain" He said going into the kitchen and putting on a pot. He wasn't even sure if Sai liked coffee, he had forgotten in his hurry to distract himself.

"So uhm you know how I've been trying to stop dating creeps? Well I went out with this accountant, and It though well he had a nice respectable job right? Wrong, he turned out to be the Creepiest creep of them all and now he's stalking me...like really bad and i've already talked to the police and stuff...but i'm still worried" Cody said taking a deep breath and taking out two coffee mugs. He had said all of that without turning around. He was way too embarrassed to look at Sai. He was supposed to be looking after Sai not the other way around.

"So what's new with you" He asked trying to change the subject, from his obvious screw ups in the romantic department.

Cody had remembered that Sai hadn't liked coffee after he had put the pot on. It was probably the biggest mistake ever and he mentally scolded himself. Of course Sai would know something was up, he was really good at picking up on those things. Plus he had basically spelled it out with his behavior. He hadn't expected Sai to act so violently though, after all he had always thought his brother a was peaceful and kind. Maybe that was just him, he was the one who wouldn't kill a parasite even if he was draining the life from him. He was just that....soft? Was that even the right word for what he was.

"His name is Dante, he owns the accounting firm downtown near the record shop i work at. I thought he would be okay, He doesn't even have any tattoos and he lives in a house and visit his mother every day. He was so sweet" He looked his brother in the eyes, his hands shaking slightly. He thought he was making the right choice, Dante was the complete opposite of what he normally dated and then he turned out to be an even worse creep.

Cody smiled gratefully at his brother, it was kind of nice to get it off his chest. He hadn't want to tell anybody because honestly he thought it made him seem weak. He wasn't a very violent person, if he was being honest he loathed fighting. Which was why he was so on edge, he didn't have the strength to put up with things like this. He didn't understand how people could be so violent when he was so kind and loving. Admittedly his looks and charm that he had because he was a siren didn't exactly help with the no stalker thing. It seemed like he brought out the worst traits in people once he started dating them. It almost made him want to give up finding love, but he honestly wanted the attention. He just hadn't mastered the art of one night stands, he always felt guilty when they got clingy after and agreed to go out on a date.

"Thank you Sai, I feel bad though, I'm the one that's supposed to be looking after you" Was he a failure of a brother? After all his parents had told him to look after Sai, not the other way around. Hell he didn't even have the courage to go and tell his parents about the change, let alone that his mute brother ended up being the one looking after him.

"So what's going on with you? We haven't seen each other in awhile, so i know something new must be going on" He said trying to change the subject, anything to get the heat off of him.
