Lying down on the sweet, warm glass and soaking up some wonderful sun, Liney felt content. She's been exploring since the day before yesterday and have traveled to every part of the island, basking in its natural riches. Having returned to the campus and still not having it in her to go to class, she decided that it would be a perfect day to just relax.

Besides her was Vaughn. Vaughn was her parent's gift to her before she left their place to attend the academy. Though most people wouldn't understand, Liney considered Vaughn as her best friend. He was loud and brash and insulted almost everything, including her, but she loved him all the same. It's just too bad she's not able to hug him.

Laughing tickled her ears and Liney turned her head to pout at the cactus.

"Shut up," she tells him. "Between the two of us, you're the one who's missing out. Not me."

She turned away from him, ignoring the prickly thoughts sent her way and just stretched out her arms and legs and let out a contented whine. This was the life.

Running as fast as she could out of the school, Kiyana rushed into the courtyard, laughing loudly. She didn't care that most of the people at that moment were staring at her. She was used to that type of stuff, being as hot people thought of her as crazy. "SO!." She said loudly as she continued to run further into the courtyard. She turned her head and tripped on a rock, stubbing her toe. "Mother of-" She stopped herself, as she was now sitting on the grass. Looking up a few meters away from her, was someone else. "Oh hello there. How is your day?" Blushing a bit, she looked down at her toe, which was now very red. She had chosen the wrong day to wear flip flops.

Liney stared for a moment, processing the other girl's greeting before reality struck her and she let out a gasp, hurrying over to the other.

"Are you alright?" she asked as she sat by her. She quickly checked the injured toe and smiled, "It doesn't look too bad, but we still gotta fix that up." Liney took her bag off and placed it on her side and rummaged inside, growing more and more frustrated when she couldn't find what she was looking for.

"Vaughn!" she called back to the plant who now lay on its side after Liney had kicked him over in her hurry to help, "Stop being such a drama queen and tell me where the first aid kit is."

His reply was snarky and condescending but Liney gave him a smile, "Thank you!"

She took out the first aid kit from the front pocket and began to fix up her stubbed toe with some ointment and bandages.

"Sorry about him," she tells the brunette, "He's really rude and mean but he's actually just a big baby." She gives a little laugh, a tinkle against the wind and turned to her patient, "There! All better!"

In shock, the person in front of her ran to her her aid. "Oh um."[/colr] She blushed with embarrassment She was actually like a child, but went she thought about it, she never did act her age. "You don't have to-" She started, but then gave up on trying to change the girls mind. Sighing in relief that apparently the toe wasn't as bad as she thought, she let her toe relax, as the girl tried to fix it.

In shock, she stared at the girl, as she was unsure as to who she was talking to. Then again, that person could be invisible to her, or super small, or imaginary. "Who?" She said quietly, making sure that she didn't offend the girls friend. "And thank you."

Liney turned her head to the side, confused that she didn't seem to know who she was talking about. She looked back at Vaughn, who was still lying innocently on the ground, calling her rude names to get her to sit him back up. He was being very graphic so Liney wasn't sure how the other couldn't see him.

Turning back to the brunette, she pointed to Vaughn. "Vaughn." she said again, "The plant."

A voice whispered at the back of her head along with a quiet chuckle. The wind brushed up at her cheek, giving her a kiss before it reminded her that not everyone had gifts such as hers.

With a grin, she clapped her hands on the brunette's soldiers and exclaimed in "Oh! Sorry! I keep forgetting not everyone can hear him. Silly me." The last line was accompanied with Liney letting go and giving herself a playful hit to the head.

Kiyana smiled at the girl as she fully tried to explain to her who she had been talking to. When the girl let go of her soft grip of her shoulders, she knew this was the time to talk. "Wow! A plant? That's a first. I wish I had something cool like that." She said with emotion in her voice. She had always loved plants, which was most notably for the fact that they helped everyone breathe. She moved her head to the side, and waved at the cactus. "Hey Vaughn, sorry for ignoring you." Looking at him, he seemed like a cute little plant. She didn't want to offend anyone, especially a plant. Looking back at the girl, she smiled. "I'm Kiyana by the way."When she said her name to others, it felt foreign and strange.

Liney grinned as Kiyana said her greetings to Vaughn. Most people she meets who doesn't understand Vaughn the way she does often just brush him aside. She felt absolutely thrilled for him that someone paid him any attention. Hearing only silence from him, she knew that Vaughn was pretty speechless as well.

As the other girl introduced herself, Kiyana, Liney's smile grew wider. "That's a very pretty name!" she says. "Hello Kiyana. I'm Caroline, but people just usually call me Liney."

Walking around Kiyana, she wrapped an arm around the other girl's shoulders and made a show of presenting Vaughn to her. "And you've already met Vaughn!" she said loudly. A pause. Then Liney flushed before scrambling back to the cactus and fixing him up. She then resumed her previous position beside Kiyana and presented him once again with a flourish of her hand.

"And you've already met Vaughn!" she repeated, before leaning forward to whisper in Kiyana's ear, "He likes making good first impressions. Just roll with it."

She smiled at the girl, as she smiled at her, pleased that sh might have put her in a good mood. Went she commented on her name, she smiled even brighter. "Thank you! I love yours." As she started to slowly diminish the wideness of her smile, she was caught by surprise as the girl put an arm around her shoulder. Because of this, she jumped a bit, but then laughed for a second to regain herself. As she put her focus from the girl, to the planet, she nodded to herself.

"Nice to finally see you and meet you sir!" She said politely. But then a few seconds later, the girl got up, which jolted Kiyana a bit, to fix her friend. She waited for her to return, and to take the same spot as before. After a few quiet moments after she reintroduced her to him, she again greeted him. "Well hello! You look much finer now."

Having someone treat Vaughn as any other person would pleased Liney to no end. Hearing Vaughn's quiet, shy mutterings must mean that he felt exactly the same way. She laughed at how flustered he was by Kiyana's compliments.

Stepping back, she made herself comfortable on the grass and spread her legs wide and leaned back with her hands supporting her weight. She looked Kiyana over before tilting her head to the side.

"Why were you running away so fast?" she asked. Her eyes lit up when the sudden thought of a possible adventure appeared in her mind, "Is there someone in danger? A fire? A troll in the dungeon?"

Looking up at the girl, she smiled warmly. "Thanks, for the bandaging and stuff." She laughed for a second, as that must have sounded awkward. Kiyana then looked at the planet again, and smiled at it, to make sure it felt welcome and that she wasn't a threat. She sighed as the girl in front of her got comfortable. "So..." She said under her breath. She looked up at the girl as she asked Kiyana a question. "Well no reason I guess, I just-" She paused. "I'm weird so I do weird things I guess."
