Rym's body relaxed considerably when a few of the people around him flew off. This was a sign to him that the situation was deescalating. He let the swirl of snow around his ankles drop.

However, it didn't change the fact that the man in front of him was a human. Rym was trying his best to not let his irrational hatred get in the way of rational thought. He knew that he couldn't answer just by moving his head this time, so he composed himself before speaking.

"I was moving the snow to places where it would be less bothersome" he said. "When I saw someone flying towards me, I panicked. I've... recently been through something that has me feeling a little paranoid as of late. That's why I fled."

So he'd been moving the snow. The officer made a point of pulling out a notepad and a pen, although it looked kind of comical to write while wearing such thing gloves.

"Sounds like this is a misunderstanding," the man said, making a few notes. "But you should probably work on that. The man who reported things said he was going to just request your assistance a little bit down the street, but then you bolted, so he thought you were up to no good."

Rym slightly lowered his head. "I see," he said. "I apologize for causing a misunderstanding. I'll try to be less paranoid from now on." During the chase, he hadn't even entertained the possibility that the person coming after him wasn't hostile. To say he was embarrassed was an understatement, but he would've been more embarrassed if he felt that the fear wasn't justified.

"Well, is that all?" Rym asked. He wasn't necessarily impatient. He just didn't know what else could be done at this point. The situation seemed like it was handled.

The man seemed nervous, but it wasn't like he was the first nervous person the officer had to deal with.

"I'll just need you name so we can make a note. Has to go in the report, since we pulled people from other departments who were fliers."

It wasn't like most cops could fly, and with the storm it had been a significant concern.

"Ah, my name is Rym," Rym said. "That's R-Y-M. No last name, but if you end up needing more than just one name, you can refer to me as 'Sir Rym.'"

It felt strange for Rym to announce that title in front of a stranger. It was a title that was usually only used during important meetings regarding the state of affairs of his nation, or during matters regarding foreign nations. A few people in his home town constantly used it, although he insisted that they didn't.

Sir Rym. The officer raised an eyebrow at that, and then just wrote down 'Rym'.

"The island's set up to handle single names, even if yours is shorter than most. We'll put a note so people know to keep an eye out, but again, if someone approaches you like that, probably better to stand your ground and explain yourself. People are paranoid with the snow and all."

That said, the work was more or less done in his mind, and after finishing and stowing his note, he gave Rym a nod.

"Sorry for the trouble," he said, and then with a mighty flap of his wings took off, with several of those remaining doing similarly, leaving Rym behind.
