"Roger that."
Diego merely answered, with a serious tone as well, and gave a small two-finger salute. And when Kal was suddenly back to normal Diego almost felt like he had emotional whiplash. He was able to shake it off quickly though, and Diego's usual easy smile found its way back on his face.
"You wouldn't call me a flower expert of you knew my bro, honestly. He's got a plant encyclopedia in his brain. I swear to gods he was born with it, his first word was 'hibiscus'"
Diego joked and laughed. Kal apparently was gonna pretend like that brief moment of intimidation didn't happen and Diego didn't really care, this chat was more pleasant anyway.
"Stranger? Where? All I see is a handsome guy named Kal who studies biological sciences, loves comics and martial arts but hates cheesy martial arts movies, eats a ton and has insomnia. And he'll probably get a sweet deal on flowers if he comes by the shop again."
Diego answered and snickered, his smile turning bit sweet as he drank the last of his cocoa. Diego his the faint blush on his cheeks behind the rim of his mug. He honestly didn't really feel like Kal was a stranger anymore, not after he'd heard more about Diego than few of his school friends had.
