Sylvi

Sylvi just took in the scale of everything as she flew around the latest addition to Manta Carlos. The last time she'd been this close to Aezjtdaenr, she'd been forced to retreat when the massive dragon woke up. But now she could go as close as she wanted, since it seemed the so called beast had been turned to stone.

To think that something that an entire world lived in fear of, could become a harmless attraction on Manta Carlos was a sobering thought. Though exactly how it had gotten here, still remained a mystery. Shouldn't it have stayed in Fael? Rowan's vision had mentioned a shadow. And though the mountain seemed to cast a shadow over the island, Sylvi couldn't help but wonder if more was yet to come.

Alyndra

After being cooped up in the hospital for about a day Alyndra was happy to get out and stretch her wings. The doctors did say to take it easy but if she found somewhere with decent thermals she could just glide around. Then the thought occurred to her mountains are good places for birds to glide around. Plus there is the massive new mountain which used to be the dragon Aezjtdaenr that would have excellent updrafts. She then scanned the horizon for it and bingo although it would be pretty hard to miss.

After taking her time to get over there she was still slightly tired. She found a decent updraft coming from what looked like a canyon between the tail and the body. She just hovered there she felt bad for the dragon. After the rant from the prince she came to sympathise with the dragon. She then wondered if the princess was here or whether she was back on Fael rebuilding the other elves lives and smoking up a storm cloud.

Sylvi

Between the updraft that Aylndra had found, and the fact that Sylvi's mind was clearly else where, she barely noticed what was happening around her. That is until she very nearly collided with something, or someone.

Yelling a curse, she'd dive hard to the left, narrowly missing them. Once she got her bearing about her, she flew back up to see what she'd almost collided with. "Excuse me! Could you please watch where.. Oh. Aylndra, it was just you. Good afternoon." Her anger quickly faded once she saw it was only Aylndra. The young girl who'd been dragged with her and the others to Fael.

"What brings you out here, if I may ask?"

Alyndra

Alyndra was totally out of it thinking about the princess and the dragon and just drifting with the updraft so much. She didn't realize someone had nearly collided with her till the other person started berating her. Then changing tone quite quickly she looked around and saw Sylvi. she replied "oh Sorry i was just enjoying the lovely updraft caused by the canyon and wondering whether the princess is still in Fael and rebuilding. And how's she doing without her best friend Aezjtdaenr. At first i was scared of the dragon but after hearing the prince rant about him i felt like he was like me. back at the orphanage i was raised at everyone bullied me cause i looked different to them. plus when my wings appeared i was called a hellspawn and told to leave. he was just misunderstood and probably just wanted to be left alone in peace. That's pretty much what's brought me out here"

Sylvi

Sylvi nodded along as Alyndra spoke. She hoped the princess was alright. Especially after everything that had happened to her, between her brother, Aezjtdaenr, and the destruction of her kingdom.

"Well, that is true. But I like to believe that the princess is doing well. Perhaps one day we will even be able to return to Fael to check on her?" After all, the princess was still in Fael, as far as Sylvi knew.

She'd fly closer to girl as she spoke of her childhood. It was understandable she'd feel drawn to the dragon, as both had been seen by monsters. "I see." Sylvi said with a small nod, before turning to look towards the mountain. "Aezjtdaenr certainly is quite the sight. And it is a good place for reflection."

Alyndra

She just drifted in the breeze as Sylvi responded and when she said about going back to Fael Aly said "i do hope we get to back some day maybe not as suddenly as last time. But one thing if we do go back ill be ready for combat i know i don't look like much but i want to be more useful. when everyone was going to fight the prince i felt useless. even when i tried to help clear the rubble from around the car everyone else in that group had it uncovered quite quickly. and yeah he is i hope the princess doesn't miss him if we do go back remind me to tell the princess were looking after him"

Sylvi

Sylvi shook her head. "No. Do not lie to yourself like that. You were far from useless." She said, resting a hand on Aylndras shoulder. "You helped me carry out a incredibly dangerous scouting mission, to begin with. Then, had it not been for your help we likely would not have been able to enter the princes chambers. Barring any other methods of entry." She said with a slight smirk and chuckle.

Sylvi patted Aylndra's shoulder. "You did more then the vast majority of people there, certainly more then that serpent." She shuddered at the thought, let alone the fact that he had only seemed to make things worse.

"Simply because your talents do not lie in combat, does not mean you are useless." She said, before summoning her spear and doing a small flourish with it. "That said, if you are interested in learning to fight, the sparring club at the school is always accepting new members."

She knew what Sylvi was saying is true but at the same time she really didn't believe she was worthy of this praise. She started sniffling as Sylvi continued but when she mentioned the Sparring club she started to Perk up "i would like to join the sparring club but i don't know if my powers are really useful in combat and if i accidently have skin contact with someone it'll trigger a vision" she shudders at the thought.

she continues on denying the simple truth "yeah i did go with you to scout the dragon but i ran i could have stayed and talked with the dragon like zephri did. and the door was a fluke as you said you could have just battered down the door. everything i can do other people can also and do it better"

Sylvi

"They accept all members. The point of the club is not to simply fight, but to learn and train as well." Sylvi said. Alyndra's eagerness to learn to fight almost reminded Sylvi of a younger version of herself. "If you want, I could teach you a few tactics sometime."

She blinked when Alyndra started talking about running away. Was she even listening to herself right now? "Zephri was able to speak to him because Zephri is a dragon. There is no guarantee we would have been able to speak to him, much lee convince to listen to us and not blow us away." She said, taking on the tone of a teacher.

"As for the door, how would you have liked to explain it if we had broken it down? You kept us out of trouble, and gave us a chance to find the prince." Had they actually broken the door down, they likely would have wound up in the dungeon, or worse.

Alyndra

she utterly broke down and said "ive been told my entire life by the other children that I'm a freak or useless and no one wants me around" She said with tears rolling down "so anything i do i feel like everyone else does better. i can't even figure out what i am and ive got access to a library which boasts it has pretty much every single book" completely neglecting to say she hasn't looked at the advanced books in fear of being told off.
