Salal was very impressed by Sera's power, the woman was very efficient in her rescue effort and she herself felt almost useless as she supported the sailors who were brought on-board.

The whirlpool was big and terrifying and Salal had never seen anything like it. As she balanced in the raft and checked the condition of the rescued sailors she couldn't help but occasionally glance at it, fear sharp in her mind. But Salal didn't let it show, she needed to stay calm for the sailors as well, who were much more shaken up than she was.

Once they got back to the rescue boat Salal would help lift the sailors on-board and step off the raft among the last ones. Once on Salal continued what she had been doing before, giving out blankets and checking on the sailors, giving them calming and encouraging words.

After making sure the crew he carried were safely onboard the raft, Miraj turned his legs back into legs, removed his size charm from its pocket and put it back on. Only then did he allow Sera to lift him up. He wouldn't have minded remaining in the water, but thought it best to stay as a group. And at full size, being on the raft would've been awkward.

Looking back and watching the whirlpool form out of nowhere, Miraj frowned slightly. The sight reminded of his homeworld in some ways. He was fairly certain this was not a natural phenomenon. "Perhaps some deity has been angered or awakened by the move to this pocket dimension. Here on the island our space has not been cut, but the ocean?" He mused out loud, though he didn't expect any answer.

Once back to the rescue boat, Miraj would aid Salal in lifting the sailors, and help where he could after, though he was not experienced in first aid or sailing.

Altizica finally made it back to loading the final crew member onboard the raft, and himself as well once the crew member was secured. They had admit the waters were acting much stranger than usual and that sudden whirlpool didn’t help matters. If Alt didn’t know better they would have assumed their great nephew was finally waking up, but that seemed extremely unlikely. Altizica took note of the odd fish swimming around and tried to catch a few to store in his body for later. For once the fish wouldn’t serve as a snack, but a completely different purpose. Alt was sure Index would greatly appreciate studying the specimens and maybe they could actually make sense of what was going on.

Arnaaluk stayed on the raft, assisting Salal with the survivors best she is able. With the squall worsening and whirlpool trying to shallow up the ship, she was thankful to have someone like Sera around to avert disaster.

The strangeness of the whole episode did not escape as she had to ponder what could cause such an unnatural calamity. Were the Great Spirits displease or where other powerful forces at work behind the scenes? Whatever was going on, at least they were able to save most if not all of the sailors caught in the storm.

The whirlpool pulled the ship into the depths just as the volunteers made it back to the main rescue vessel. From there the sailors were looked at by the medics on the ship as they moved away from the scene.

"You all did well, we appreciate your efforts. Hopefully whatever this is will get resolved some way or another," the captain sighed and sat down tiredly.

There was still coral slowly growing up around the remaining fishing boat, seemingly holding it in place. There was also the very faint sound of a song being sung. Almost immediately the storm seemed to stop and something far off in the distance was seen flying away.

Something was still amiss, but the danger was averted for now...

((And that's the event! Thank you for participating! Stay tuned for more!))
