Madelin listened to Chitose her question, it made her think. In all honesty she loved writing fictional stories. But was that what she had been taught, learned and read about, not really. “Personally I enjoy writing fictional things, but I don’t mind things like writing rapports or article’s about recent things. I have written small article’s about wars for school, it’s nice to learn more about the past while letting others know of your findings. It’s also helpful when you are trying to think up new things.†She smiles gently while looking over at Chitose and she saw that a crescent moon had been drawn in the sand.
She stares at it a long second before looking back at the ocean, watching the waves again. Why did she come to this place again, to find peace and be able to control herself. That is what she had said, but wasn’t it to find friends, to talk easily about things, just like Chitose and herself where doing right now? A sigh escapes her lips before she can really think about it and she leans back under the umbrella again. Looking over at Chitose she could see her staring off towards the ocean, she looked happy, probably thinking about something that made her feel happy.
Maybe also someone who enjoyed sunsets, Madelin looks at the edge of the umbrella, seeing sunrays pass it by, but not seeing the sun itself. Probably just behind afternoon, it couldn’t be that late. Thinking about time, in what time zone where they? She had forgotten to look it up before, being in the middle of the pacific they surely had a different time zone than New Zealand where she had departed “Do you happen to know what time it was when you came here?â€
Realizing that it probably sounds strange she continues. “I forgot to look it up and I quite enjoy the thing called time.†Madelin could feel her cheeks heat up, it was a stupid thing to get embarrassed about, but because it was such a stupid thing she couldn’t believe she had asked it. In her embarrassment she was looking at the sand in front of her, hoping that Chitose hadn’t heard it and would be more interested in something else to talk about.
