He decided to drop the subject, he just wasn't used to really talking to people, and it was probably a bad idea to tell her about his scars anyways.

He listened as his friend ordered, and the made his, he got a cinnamon late and a normal glazesd dounut and paid for both orders, "I wonder if they'll have alien coffee on the station."
He motioned to a table and took a seat, "So, where are you from?" He took a sip of his coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the taste, "I'm from Ashten City....." he instantly regreted telling her where he was from, Ashten was a crime ridden hell hole.

He nodded, "no, west coast," most didnt know about it as most media focused on LA, but Ashton was a hot bed of crime.

He smiled a bit when she started talking about her home, "sounds nice, did you like it?" He remembered how she had described her family, it sounded so nice, so different than what he had known. "I never traveled out if Ashton until I got here," needless to say but Garret didnt like them trying to leave the city.

He nodded and listened, it reminded him of the cops back home, two faced bastards who would take bribes and ignore what Garret was doing, "yea, I know what you mean....two faced and all that, I had to deal with people like that."

He took a sip of his coffee and shrugged as she mentioned school, "I wouldnt know, I...I never went to school before I was brought here," scholl was one of many things Garret had denied them. "I have so much to catch up on," he sighed and leaned back.

He smiled and chuckled a bit as she stated that she hoped that they'd end up in some classes together, "Yea, that'd be nice. I'm hoping to learn more about the supernatural, figure our where my shadow thing came from," not only did he not know what it was or where it came from, the creature itself was completely ignorant of it's own origins, it was a frustrating situation.

"I have control over it, I just have no idea what the hell it is," in truth he was a bit worried what long term exposure to the Shadow would do to him, he couldn't imagine living with a hostile monster living in you're body couldn't be healthy, "gotta be one teacher here who knows what it is, i hear that some of the teachers here are thousands of years old." Just the thought of living so long amazed and scared him, he couldn't imagine living that long without going mad.
