Ace looked up from airing her tattoos to give him a thumbs up in agreement when he mentioned the fact that he'd probably be impaled for using such nicknames. The encouraging hand moved to cup her chin, a pale finger resting against her nose as she tapped it lightly. Now this was unexpected, and as much as she'd hate to admit it, she honestly had no idea.

"Alright Sparky, I'm stumped, where does it come from?" her patience led her to speak after nearly five minutes of consideration. Her hand moved from her face to her shoulder, pointer finger still tapping.

Laken smiled. He always was good at that kind of thing.
enerGETic. he said with a smile.
Now, would you like a piggy back ride? Or do you want me to carry you? he was enjoying this, he hadn't met many people here and some were very odd, but this girl was interesting, even if she HAD nearly attacked him with a rib, but she was actually interesting to talk to. Not a drone, or a zombie, but interesting.

Tapping pointer finger snapped against her thumb as the name was explained.
"Clever, I must admit I'm impressed," her smile was small, it was the look she got when having private amusement over her own thoughts, which were similar to his. Already she'd found someone other than her sister who could actually match her odd wit, it was rather refreshing. Before she could lose herself in thoughts, Ace thought over the consequences of her inability to guess the origins of his nickname and shrugged.

"Surprise me Sparky," before closing her eyes she hopped into the circle of her hoodie basket handle, ensuring that it would be hooked on her foot so that it wouldn't be left behind. Ace stood, arms by her side, toes of her bandaged foot resting against the cold tile, the other flat on the floor, toes covered by dark green material. Her eyes were closed, head tilted back as if she were still looking at him.

Laken smiled.
He'd won...was it really a win? Probably not, but whatever.
He walked over and grabbed her under her arms and bent down to put his free arm under her knees, he lifted up and she came with him.
No struggling this time, okay? he said and moved outside the door.
She was really light, it wasn't that he was surprised, because she didn't look big she was just AMAZINGLY light.
So, Get, what do you do for fun? Other than flying ribs through windows? he asked and he made his way down the hallway. He reached the stairs and lifted a foot kicking the door open, and began his descent, being careful not to fall.

Ace very maturely made a face at him, sticking her tongue out in the process, when he commented on her not struggling. However her scrunched up features faded to a grin after which she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, linked fingers resting lightly against his neck since she couldn't reach to the edge of his other shoulder.

"Drag my sister to clubs, read, get tattoos, train, accept dares, actually this will turn out to be a rather long list since nearly everything I do is for fun, except for shooting ribs through windows. I'll follow polite conversation rules, and return the question Sparky," she'd shrugged after her explanation her face thoughtful, though after a brief pause Ace grinned and returned the question.

Laken shot a charming smile at her when she stuck her tongue out.
Well, I don't really know. You see as a kid I spent most of my time with my sister at my grandparents perfecting my powers and working at their tavern so I guess the only thing I do for fun is read, and work. But whatever. he said brushing off the question.
How many tatoos do you have? he asked, she looked so young, he couldn't believe she was actually allowed to GET them.
Do you lie about your age when you get them? Or do you have some 21 year old boyfriend sign the papers instead of your parents? Once again he was half teasing, half serious.

"Reading I can appreciate, but only that and work? I'll have to drag you along with Loo and I sometime," it was a statement, not a request, in her mind he didn't really have a say in the matter.

"Oh young innocent Sparky, I had acquaintances who tattooed, saved me the trouble of paperwork. Besides, my parents know about them, in fact they'd probably insist on getting one too if I ever told them when I went," Ace mulled over that thought for a moment before coming back to attention to answer his first question.

"I have four. Would you ever want to get one?" her head tilted to the side slightly as she asked one of her favorite questions. The reason she liked it, it usually lead into an interesting conversation.

Laken thought for a moment and then nodded his head.
Yeah, I guess so. I always thought it would be cool to get a tatoo with like my fiance or something...you know, kinda like engagement tatoos...I know it's a silly idea...
he said shaking his head. It really WAS a silly idea, he always knew so, so he wasn't sure WHY he was telling her...
