Ace looked up from her sleeve-tying in time to see a cloud of black cover her vision, listening to his words, she dropped her small bundle, sticking her arms through the sleeves. She hadn't been paying attention to his movements and so jumped slightly when she felt the brief pressure of his finger, which caused her to unintentionally place half her weight on her foot. For the second time she jumped, well more of an awkward hop, back to her uninjured foot.

"Miss Sassy? Is that honestly the best you can come up with Sparky?" she questioned with a grin and quirked brow turning to see him after her head popped up from the hole in the sweater.

"And just be glad it's only your feelings that are hurt. I've could've accepted your help on my terms, making you carry my bloody hoodie, which would probably have made you faint. In which case you would've fallen and me, in the delicate state that I am, wouldn't have been able to catch you, you would've cracked you head on the floor, your head would be spurting blood. Then how would you deal with yourself?" she crossed her arms gazing up at him, mischievous grin in place, the question still in her quirked brow.

At the very least Laken was happy that she'd accepted it. He handed wanted to hurt her so when she jumped on her foot he went to grab her arm although she seemed to recover quick well on her own he kept on hand on her arm.
Sorry about that... he said with a sheepish grin.
When she mocked his name he feigned hurt.
Oh, Sassy, you're so cruel. Firstly you make fun of my fear, and now this? Does your wickedness know no end? he said keeping the charade going, even throwing in a few sniffles.
She was too much fun to play with. Although he found it slightly odd to be conversing with a girl when he didn't even know her name...

She looked down at her arm, well actually his hand on her arm, then traveled the path that followed. Fingers, wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder, neck, finally his face, the look on her own the same as before, amusement visible in every feature.

"Poor Sparky, don't worry, I'll play nice, I swear," her tone was mock comforting, overly sweet with her accented voice. Ace pat the hand still on her person consolingly, her scabbed palms rough against his skin. Wondering if he was uneasy around dried blood too, she quickly dropped it, holding it up in a scout's honor pose, though her palm was still slightly visible.

Laken smiled at her in feign comfort.
He looked down when he felt her hand on his, it was rough, especially for a girls hand. Oh well, she must be sportsy.
So, can we leave now? I'm worried that one of us is going to wind up impaled...again... he said with a crooked grin.

"Aren't we quite the impatient one?" she said with a grin of her own.
"Very well then, let's exit the premises, even though you weren't the one who was impaled," her manner became lofty, her hand made a flapping dismissal action. Turning on her heel, Ace was posed with a curious question, to walk on her hands, or to hop? She decided to let her blood-fearing companion lead the way, giving her time to come up with an answer.

Laken moved out of the room when he got out into the hallway he took his shoes off and picked the glass out throwing it out a broken window into an abandoned courtyard. When he had finished both shoes he looked back at her.
Hey, Sass. You sure you don't want a piggy back ride? It won't wreck your training just this once, everyone needs help once and a while he said replacing his shoe to his left foot. He looked up at her his eyes showing that he really did want to help her, but he didn't move, he waited until she made the decision.

As he began to walk, Ace decided to walk on her hands. Her body bent, hands touching the floor as all her weight was shifted to them. On the way up to the hand stand, her good foot reached into the loop of her sweatshirt, the knot where the sleeves were joined resting on the sole of her foot. As the large sweater followed the rules of gravity, puddling around her head, she sighed, so hand walking wouldn't be an ethical choice.

Never the less, she began to walk on her hands, just concentrating on going in a straight line, stopping when she bumped into the one who'd just offered help. Dropping her sweatshirt to the floor, Ace flipped back to her good foot.
"You know I prefer not to think of myself as sassy, more like, energetically truthful," she said, deciding to avoid the issue of whether or not she did need help, at least for the moment.

Laken looked down as she bumbed into him. She was never going to accept his help, even when he offered it.
Okay then, Nameless. What shall I call you? So far all I can think of if how you nearly impaled me with a rib... he said as she stood back up. He was slightly hurt that she wouldn't let him help her, but what could he do.
You know, I really do want to help you, I'm a nice guy, and it's not like I would hold it against you or anything.

"Nearly being the key word, and you shall call me whatever you wish Sparky. I s'ppose you could always use my real name, but where's the fun in that?" her scrunched up nose and closed eyes made her look quite like a child as she smiled up at him. As he continued speaking, her look slowly shifted back to neutral, why did she have to be so stubborn? Ace knew he was just being nice, but something inside her just wouldn't let her take the easy route.

"Ah, I'll make a bet with you. If you can come up with a suitable nickname for me, then I shall willingly leap into your arms and allow you to carry my immense weight to wherever you so choose, except the nurse," she looked up expectantly, she didn't want to hurt his feelings, and she always one for bets and dares. Allowing him time to think, Ace picked at the area of sweatpants over her hips, her latest tattoos were still the slightest bit tender.

Laken smiled. A nickname huh? He was no good at nicknames. He'd always called his sister Kiddo...even though she was older than him she was always about four inches shorter.
To you, I have no idea what suitable is. I could call you Sport, or Sweetie, and I have a feeling a rib would actually make contact. How about Get then? If you can figure out where I got that name from, then I WON'T carry you. he said and smiled at her. He wouldn't let her get away from answering it.
