"Don't worry, it'll work out," he'd say when she mentioned her sister, "give it time. You're her family." He hoped her sister came around and gave Agnes another chance.

Being raised Muslim, Kadir didn't have any Christmas traditions. He knew it usually involved either religious stuff or the legendary Santa, he wouldn't partake in either traditions. But a horror marathon did indeed sound fun, especially with her.

"A horror filled Christmas it'll be then," he'd say, returning her small smile with one of his own. "Just...don't try to put me in a lamp," he'd say, jokingly with a snort, "unless there's booze in it."

"Speaking of booze, I'll bring some for us," maybe he'd find a festive drink for them to share. "Something to keep chill off," he really hated this snow and the cold, but spending time with her would keep his mind off of it.

"Family, huh..."
That word had never meant anything to Agnes. Her family had both driven her close to madness and death and made her stand up again from all that crap, she didn't know what family was anymore. But Agnes wasn't about to start debating about her sister, not right now and not with Kadir, so she merely sighed and sipped her coffee. Agnes doubted Mia would forgive her anytime soon, and Agnes wouldn't blame her.

"Maybe I can spend a worthwhile Christmas for once."
At least Agnes really hoped so. She wanted to make some new Christmas memories to cover the old memories of dodging her parents' drunken fists. And when she had been kidnapped Agnes hadn't even known what day it was, much less when it was Christmas.
"Can't make promises about the lamp though, I might start feeling like getting those three wishes."

"Cool. Could go christmassy and get some eggnog with alcohol in it. Would keep us warm, at least."
Agnes didn't really mind the snow and cold, but she could pretend she minded it.

He'd snort, "wishes huh?" The thought of her putting him in a lamp was amusing, him granting her wishes didn't sound half bad though. "And what wishes would you make to me?" he wasn't a wish granter, but maybe he could do something to make her Christmas that much better.

"Eggnog, never had it before," he'd seen it at the stores and a few people drinking it, "I'll get some for us, with alcohol of course." He wasn't picky when it came to food and drink, he could stomach pretty much anything as long as it was edible.

"Sounds better than waiting for a fat man to break in and leave things," he'd say, half jokingly. Give where they lived Santa actually being real wouldn't be super surprising, though that would probably bring up a lot of questions for a lot of people.

Wishes...Agnes had no idea what she'd wish for. Everything she wanted she either couldn't have and didn't have the guts to tell Kadir, or things she could get on her own and preferred to get on her own.
"None. It's enough that you're around me, you don't need to grant any wishes."
Was it cheesy? Maybe it was a bit cheesy. but it was true. The fact that Kadir was her friend meant a lot to Agnes, a lot more than she would ever admit.

"Eggnog is either gross or tasty, we'll see which category you'll fall into."
Agnes said, kinda looking forward to seeing Kadir's reaction to drinking eggnog for the first time. Agnes liked eggnog, but her little brother wouldn't even go near the stuff.

Agnes was confused for a moment and looked at Kadir weirdly, when he talked about a fat man breaking in. But then the realization flashed in her eyes and Agnes snorted and laughed, weird and amusing image forming in her head. So Kadir was talking about Santa.
"The first time I heard someone talking about him like that. But isn't a genie usually a fat man who comes out of a bottle and leaves you things?"
Agnes said with an amused smirk. She also might've called Kadir fat but Agnes was thinking about the genie in Aladdin.
