The half jinn stood in front of the door, occasionally glancing at the bag in his hands and back to it. Being raised Muslim he'd never celebrated Christmas, now he didn't see how giving a few gifts was sacrilegious, but he'd follow any god now so it really didn't matter.

Looking into the bag he'd check the gifts, he'd wrapped them to throw best of his abilities and done an ok job. He couldn't remember the last time he'd gotten someone a gift, or really celebrated a holiday. This was new, a series of new events all coming from this odd vampire girl.

As he stood there trying to figure out what he'd say he'd realize something, he was nervous. Being nervous over this mildly annoyed him, he'd fought people and not been nervous, flew through hostile lands and not been nervous. Yet here was, nervous about giving an attractive girl a few simple gifts. Taking a small breath he'd knock on the dorm door and waited.

Agnes spun one of her drumsticks in her hand absently and stared at the floor. In the corner of her room there was a bag with surprisingly neatly wrapped gifts. Agnes used to wrap all the presents for her siblings and they deserved nothing but best. One for Bel, one for Agnes' music teacher, one for Kadir. And the one for Kadir was what was spinning in Agnes' head much like the stick in her hand. It wasn't like Agnes to worry about stuff like whether someone liked something or not, but she was worrying whether Kadir would like it. And that honestly pissed her off a bit.

Agnes stood up and went over to her acoustic drums. Bel wasn't over, so Agnes wouldn't be bothering her with her playing, and the neighbours would just have to deal with it because Agnes needed to play. She started playing a simple beat, that slowly swelled and became complex and fast. Agnes beat all the worry and annoyance out, and when she heard the knock on the door Agnes was her cool self. For now. She swiped hair out of her face and threw the drumsticks on the bed. Agnes' room was a mess, school papers and clutter everywhere, but again she had at least cleared out all the clothes.

Agnes shuffled over to the door, she was wearing her favourite lazy t-shirt that read "Bite me" and grey shorts. She opened the door and leaned on the frame with a small smirk, that almost looked like a genuine smile.
"Hey."

"Hey you," he'd say, returning her small smile with one of his own. "Snow is still being fucking stupid outside, so didn't want to fly to your window," he'd say half joking, the snow was indeed still coming down pretty heavily. "Don't know how you people deal with the stuff."

"So..yeah..," he'd hold up the bag, the two wrapped Christmas gifts inside, "never celebrated before, but yeah I got you a few things." He was trying to hide the fact that he was nervous, he was a grumpy bad-ass jinn, he didn't get nervous, yet he was.

He'd clear his throat, "just a few things I thought you might like," he hoped she liked them. "So.....merry Christmas?" he'd say with a tiny nervous smirk, yes this was again a very new experience for him.

"We deal with it by not whining. Can you do that? It's a bit hard, I know."
Agnes chuckled a bit as she joked, and pulled Kadir in from the hallway.
"And why do you think I told you to come here? No way I'm going out in that snow."

Agnes looked at the bag and for a moment felt bad for only getting Kadir one gift. But she kicked that feeling out and answered Kadir's nervous smile, though Agnes hid her nervousness a lot better.
"Thanks. I'd say you didn't have to but I want to keep these presents, so..."
Agnes joked a bit and smirked. She walked deeper into the dorm room, beckoning Kadir to follow.
"Yeah, uh, you want anything? Coffee, or your present? Since I also got you one."

He'd snort and chuckle, stepping inside and glancing around a bit. "Should try the desert in summer, scorpions and snakes...and annoying bitting camels," he'd say, joking, well partly, all those were all things he'd encountered.

Kadir would return the smirk, "and I'd refuse if you tried to give them back." He'd missed their banter, not that it'd been a long time since they'd hung out or anything. "Isn't it bad luck to turn a gift down? Or something like that?" he'd say, following her further into the dorm.

"Coffee sounds good," he'd tilt his head, surprised that he was getting a gift, "and yeah, the present." He'd clear his throat, "thank you, do we...open them now..or Christmas morning?...or evening? People have told me both."

The image Kadir painted for Agnes about a desert in the summer made her snort a bit as well and she shook her head as she closed the door behind Kadir.
"The sun is a little bit deadly for me, so I'll just take your word for it."

"I don't know. I just know it's bad manners, though I haven't gotten enough gifts to refuse any."
Agnes glanced over her shoulder and shrugged, setting her gifts on the table. After asking whether Kadir wanted coffee or his present she went into her room and quickly snatched Kadir's gift, and came back. Agnes lifted her bag a bit towards Kadir.
"Here you go. Nothing special, really, so don't get your hopes up."

After Kadir took his present Agnes went and fished two cups from the cabinet and filled them with coffee fresh from the pot.
"We can open them now, or at least I was thinking of opening yours now. I'm not doing anything on Christmas so why wait, you know."
Agnes said with half a shrug and set Kadir's mug on the table, sitting down on the opposite side.

Kadir accepted the gift and the coffee, taking a seat at the table, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been given a gift.

"You're better at wrapping," he'd say with a snort and a chuckle. Picking up his coffee he'd go ahead and drink a good amount, he was actually pretty cold from the snow, he was very much not used to it. "So, how about we open at the same time?" he hoped she liked hers.

Picking his gift up, he'd glance up at her, and then he'd open it. Both gifts surprised him, the brush and the genie cup. He'd laugh at them both, a happy laugh, they were funny, and he'd use them both.

"Thank you Agnes," he'd say, giving her a genuine smile.

"Lots of practice."
Agnes explained when Kadir pointed out her skills at wrapping, and a ghost of a smile danced on her lips as Agnes remembered the many times her little siblings had been happy to receive their gifts. Agnes drank some of her coffee as well, and nodded a bit when he suggested they open the gifts at the same time.

The nervousness came back when Agnes watched Kadir take the gift in his hands, but she hid it well and merely gave him a lopsided smirk when he glanced at her. Agnes took Kadir's gifts as well and held them in her hands, pretending to try and see what was in. But in truth she just wanted to see Kadir's reaction to her gifts first. And the laugh he let out made a huge weight fall off of Agnes' heart. That weight settled in Agnes' stomach, and she frowned a bit. But only for a moment, and then she snickered along with Kadir.

"They just made me think of you, it's no big."
Agnes answered, and sent Kadir a genuine smile of her own, leaving jokes out for now.
"And now you have a high bar for these gifts."
Agnes joked and grinned a bit as she began opening her gifts. What she found inside the first one was a huge collection of horror movies, and Agnes blinked at it. It had some movies she hadn't seen before, which was rare, and Agnes smiled at Kadir again.
"You're gonna marathon these movies with me."
Was all she said with a short laugh, and then she opened the other one. Agnes found a thermos, and the packaging said it was meant for all kinds of drinks but blood in particular. This gift made a small part of Agnes ache, reminded her she was a vampire, but mostly she was grateful.

"Thanks Kadir. These ain't half bad."
Agnes said it with a genuine tone, even if her words sounded casual.

"Oh definitely," he'd say, flashing a smirk at her, "somehow we didn't do a horror marathon for Halloween, so we gotta make up for it." Most would find a horror movie marathon at Christmas time odd, but they were an odd pair anyways and it wasn't like he had any Christmas traditions.

He watched her reaction to the thermos. It was the gift he was most worried about, it seemed like something she could use, but at the same time he worried because he got the sense she wasn't born a vampire.

The half jinn chuckled a little, holding up his mug. "Can't really grant wishes, but...I don't know....getting you a few things seemed right," even if he annoyingly got nervous when handing them over. "So no plans for Christmas?" he'd take a sip of his coffee, "I'm free then too, if you wanna watch some of those movies then. Which we can start some now if you want.....but y'know," not the most standard way of asking someone if they wanted to spend Christmas together, but he thought it worked.

Horror marathon Christmas. Didn't sound bad at all. Actually, it sounded a lot like Agnes. And she didn't want to return back to her old traditions and ways, if she was forced into this new life then Agnes wanted it to be brand new. No looking back.
Although she'd still try to give her sister a present. Even if Agnes died in the process.

"No plans. It's not like dear lil' sis would want to see my face anyway, so..."
Agnes said with a bitter chuckle and sipped her coffee.
"You canvt grant wishes but I'll grant yours and hang out with you. There are worse ways to spend a Christmas."
Agnes smiled a bit at Kadir over her coffee and swiped some hair behind her ear.
