An extremely pale young man with shoulder-length, faded blonde hair ambled along a wall loaded with books, picking through instructional books about swordplay, footwork, and similar topics. He was dressed simply, in a blue shirt and faded, swamp-green trousers, a black sash belt and a pair of simple, leather boots and gloves. It was quiet, and mentally he found this unnerving. He wanted an excuse to talk.

Delirio found what he was looking for- a discussion and comparison of different scenarios involving the use of a rapier wielded alongside various household objects. He'd never actually bothered to check anything out for disliking the idea of forgetting things and racking up fines, but the book was almost always there as he'd noticed the mere days since he'd arrived here. "And where have you been off to, friend?" he mumbled quietly to the book, removing it from it's (oddly, incorrectly shelved) place. He'd been up on one of the higher floors, but simply leaning out over the railing, he spotted a place on the next floor down and in a silent flash of white light, appeared hanging out from the outside part of the railing, holding on with one hand while he held the book in the other. He repeated this until he'd gotten to the ground floor and stumbled forwards a step noisily, looking marginally tired and with a thin film of sweat appearing on his forehead.

Delirio smirked at the book again and approached one of the tables to settle down into a chair. It wasn't in the being's nature to remove things such as this from where they aught to be, but he was considering checking the book out for the sole purpose of taking it somewhere with more... personality, let's call it. He had a good hour before he had to be anywhere, though. 'Perhaps when I've become more acquainted with the staff,' he thought to himself with a relaxed, outwards sigh.

Cat peered out from behind a bookshelf, watching the pale student read. She'd seen him jump and teleport down the rails of the balconies. It was a curious ability, that Cat wanted to know more about. But people... There were too many people and it was much to open.

There was, of course, only the one person there besides her. But one person was one too many. Cat slowly backed away, knocking into a bookshelf and then tripping over a stack of books. Her high pitched shriek could be heard in even the farthest corners of the library. So much for being invisible.

Cat quickly got to her feet and scampered off to hide deeper in the shelves.

A loud noise caught Delirio's attention, and he stood abruptly, the backs of his legs pushing the chair back out behind him. He turned his head towards the source, eyes wide but lips bearing a curious smile. He noticed Cat, but his eyes soon averted to the stack of books. Eyes closed, smile widened. With a nod to himself he approached the stack of books to straighten them, leaving what he had intended to read nearby.

The book would probably stay put, but Delirio was curious, and assuming whoever had shrieked didn't wish to be found just yet, was content to try and make himself more approachable. The occasional good deed generally served that purpose well. He hummed softly The tune to a gentle waltz song of his own composition as he did so, the sounds of the involved instruments seeming to dance around his voice faintly, a product of his telepathy.

Cat huddled behind the bookshelf, hugging her knees to her chest. She couldn't tell if she was crying or just scared, or if she was just sad or startled by her fall. Her heart was beating so loud she thought the entire library would be able to hear it, her breathing so ragged she was choking on her unsteady supply of oxygen.

Cat whimpered, more to hear anything other than her heart beat than to show any kind of distress. The person she'd been watching was humming now, although she could also hear instruments so it couldn't be him, right? Slowly, Cat crept out from her hiding spot to listen closer, still out of sight but closer by.
