It was likely that Pollyanna would be blushing throughout the night with the words he was giving her. She chuckled a bit, and beamed a smile at him. "Now my cheeks are all hot n’stuff, thanks to you." Of course she was only being lighthearted about the situation. He was a smooth operator with her. It didn’t take much though to make her giddy as a schoolgirl. Of course everything was taken to heart with her. It was nice to hear these sorts of words from another instead of as affirmation she’d recite in front of a mirror or something when she needed a pick-me-up. It’s what kept her optimism alive and strong, after all.

Her confidence thus was shining through for today, and kept herself upbeat for this whole date. Even as Tellios would lay upon her unfortunate news upon his past. It made her desire to reflect her happiness upon him. To boost him up to make sure he was happy all throughout this date. "Well, the past is in the past, right? All I can hope for is that your future be happier." As he tasted his share of the wine, Pollyanna quickly went to pick up her own glass to fill it with wine. Shaking a bit, since she was a bit eager to try it out. She was technically an adult anyway, but she hadn’t tried many ‘adult’ things. Her innocence backfired against her in that sense. Once filled she raised it against his, with a sharp clink against the other glass. She wasn’t a fan of loud crisp noises due to her sensitive hearing, but she was having too much of a good time to really notice. "Yeah… To humanity." With that she took a sip, to get a reaction out of it.

It was… Really sweet. And tasted like fruit. And Pollyanna, being the fruit bat she is, appreciated this very much. Sure it was a little strong too, but overall she enjoyed it. It was like a natural instinct for her anyway to consume things with flavors similar to this, so red wine was a-ok in her book. "I really like this." She declared, as she looked to Tellios eagerly. "Do you?" It was his order after all. She wanted to be sure he enjoyed his share of dinner. What she did next would probably work against her. She wasn’t sure about the effects of alcohol to her system. This was going to be an experience then. She drank most of it as if it were the water she had next to her, until the majority of the glass was gone to leave a little puddle left. She was fine for now, and looked up to Tellios.

"You are. Though.. You’ve been nice since day one. I’d say you’re close to mastering it." She assured with an eager beam, the heat in her face a bit more prominent than before. Now she wanted more wine… But she didn’t want to be greedy. It just really appealed to her senses, and it was like fancy grape juice to her. And she wasn’t even a fan of grape juice. He then affirmed to her that he enjoyed who she really was too. A mutant, but at least she could appear to be the girl her liked most of the time. It got her curious enough for a question, that had actually been eating at her mind for awhile.

"I’m glad you do." She smiled, before glancing at her glass. Her hands fell to her lap as she began to think, before looking back to him with her relaxed brown eyes. "But… I wanna know what you really think of my sorta-real form. I mean, I’m really happy you accept me for me, but I don’t want to shift if it makes you uncomfortable or anything. I don’t look too scary, do I? When I’m like that?" She bit her lip just a hint. "I just get a little worried over it. I never really shift in public because I worry that I might frighten somebody. I haven’t even done it physically in front of you because of that. But I would never hurt anyone. I swear."

Tellios glanced around, hearing a conversation about students at the academy. It wasn't so much his hearing was perfect. He was just keeping an eye on things that were going on in the place. This establishment. He smiled as he heard things like that coming from the washroom that was primarily for her that Tellios used once or twice to clean up a few things. "Now you have me to tell you things."

Looking into his cup for a moment he then gazed to Pollyanna. His smiled died down as he couldn't forget his past. It's what made him, shaped him. Even if he was able to change in such a time. He didn't like his past, but it was him. He was Tellios. The Survivor. He took another sip as when he was half way done Pollyanna had a small puddle left in her cup. He blinked a few times as he slowly poured her half a cup.

"A little Fruity?" he said as a joke and even laughed himself. She was part fruit bat and he thought it was a funny joke. Even if at her own expense or not. "If you like it, then I do too."

"Y-yes. I mean. Well Originally I thought being nice to my roommate would just be a good thing to do. So that way we have no problems." Tellios said with assurance to Pollyanna, he was enjoying the conversation he was having with her, sitting down with something to drink. Though she was still waiting on her food.

Tellios heard what she said and put his hand face up closer on her side of the table. He wouldn't speak until she placed a hand on his. When/if she did he spoke up, in a light tone.

"No. You are not scary. You are beautiful which ever form you take. You are you. No one change that. So long as you are you." He gripped the hand a little tighter. "I know you wouldn't hurt anyone. Mutant or not. You have a heart. You are who you are. Never think any different. I would have no problem walking with your real form."

Pollyanna was glad how things were going so far. Every conversation was beginning to fall in place to impact different aspects of the way she thought, either for the moment or for the future. She at least had someone to talk to for a bit, and a roommate she could come home to that would not only be her friend but her boyfriend. It felt nice finally having someone she could come home to to hug and kiss. But that might just be because she was an affectionate person, and needed someone to demonstrate that to. Bats were just winged puppies, in her mind at least.

Though she was satisfied with these thoughts her gaze soon came to notice that something had upset Tellios. His smile diminished, and that caused Pollyanna to worry. She didn't sour the date or anything, did she? By saying something? Trying to think of what she had said Pollyanna traced back over her words... Only to remember that she had brought up his past. He couldn't change it, but he could use it to grow from. Pollyanna wanted him to know that he should, as it helped her some in coping with the hand life dealt her. She watched him drink from the wine, which soothed him some it seemed. She didn't want to poke and prod his mind in case she struck a nerve, so she'd keep things going.

"Haha yea... It's sweet, and tastes like grapes. Isn't that what it's made of?" She wasn't sure, but that sounded correct. Either way it was delicious, and she was more than happy to have a refill. She spoke a soft 'thank you' as she went back to sipping the alcohol gratefully. It was only a short amount of time where it was nearly gone again. It must have tasted really, really good to her.

While she sipped it, Tellios tried to denounce it seemed the kindness he had gifted her from day one. Yes, being civil was important, but look where it got him. It was a normal thing for mutual respect to turn into fondness, but the young mutant never expected it to become this. "I'm just happy where it took us." And that much was the truth. But even if they were a bit of a couple now, she had doubts in concern to her half of the relationship. This side Tellios saw as beautiful almost made her not want to shift. Because, she always thought he was purely mutual on her real form, which made her fearful upon a potential reserved opinion. Did he find it gross? Or scary? Fortunately before her heart could race with possibilities he held out his hand to her. Palm up. She blinked for a moment, before placing her hand on top of his to lace her fingers within his grasp. Holding tightly, just so she could hear the words he said next.

One sentence in and her heart already relieved itself of its doubts an fears. And the second sentence in had her a mixture of shock and flattery. He thought her real form was beautiful, too? Despite the fact she looked like an animal mixed with a human, had wings instead of functioning arms and could only smile to reveal sharp rows of fangs? He asserted to her that she's always be Polly, despite what she looked like to him. This made her smile brightly, as he took her as his and had faith that she'd be the same no matter what. And that was all that she wanted, really. To be seen as the same girl, that would like him no matter what she looked like. Of course, she had to at least be a bit creative in showing him affection in her different forms. But as long as he accepted her... She no longer felt fear of him turning away. "Tellios, I..."

She smoothly squeezed her hand in his. Holding tighter, as she was more happy than ever to call him her boyfriend. "That means a lot to me. Really. Thank you for liking my other form, too. I was just... Scared that after awhile you'd turn away. And I never thought anyone would see it as beautiful. So... You're a first, really. And I can't be more blessed." She smiled, a bit shaking after feeling like she had gushed to him. It was just the first time she had ever heard that. Now that she did... She felt like she didn't really need to be afraid anymore. So long as she was with him. But this was a double-sided relationship. He had something he didn't reveal often himself. And just like him, she'd accept it all just the same.

"That goes for you, too. I mean, I haven't seen your real form in awhile. But, you'll still be my Tellios no matter what. With your cute little nanites and everything. You're really sweet and nice. And that's what always matters to me. Even though you do look nice nonetheless." She smiled broadly. "So I'm glad we accept each other for who we are. And I'd be happy to walk with you any way you wish to present yourself. As long as we're both happy, that's what matters right?" As soon as she said that, the waitress came by with her salad, to which she thanked her and looked back to Tellios. She was hungry, but right now she was involved in conversation with him.

"We're quite the interesting couple, aren't we?" Considering everything... She could only chuckle.

Tellios was thinking the date was going better than he thought. Even better now that they were getting more into each others heads. Most people were fickle creatures. Just easy to understand. Though Pollyanna was an enigma. He was happy to spend time with her. He just wanted to ensure that Pollyanna was happy to do as she wished around him. To a point. They were a thing after all. Even if she was in her real form, he'd still spend time with her regardless. Tellios didn't look like a person in his real form. The cold exterior, the faceless complexion. His monotone voice that could sound like nails going down a chalkboard if he wanted.

Tellios took another sip from his drink. It was... Flavorless. Just how he liked it.

"You are correct. Fermented grapes that is."

Tellios gave his 'niceness' a quick look over as he looked over some of the previous things. He blinked a few times as he then looked at Pollyanna with a smile. He was pleased about what was going between. Where it brought him. He was happy that instead of giving her a cold shoulder, he talked. They talked. "I'm not the only one to thank Pollyanna." He said lightly.

She didn't finish her sentence. This wasn't normal was it? Tellios raised an eyebrow and then gave Pollyanna his whole attention. Closing anything that he was doing in his mind. He wasn't used to someone not finishing their sentences. Was there something she wanted to say? That she couldn't? "Is there a problem Pollyanna?"

Tellios shook his head for a moment as he smiled. If he could shed a tear he would. "I'm normally always worried people might find me.. A freak about that. Bring a bunch of nanites that can create a bipedal robot." He was happy she accepted him as 'her Tellios'. Though even he accepted her as 'His Pollyanna'. "If we are both weren't happy, why would we be here, dear?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way Pollyanna."

Huh. Well, who knew fermented grapes could be so tasty? Pollyanna was honestly hooked. Her palate was geared for tastes like these, but her brain wasn't quite aware of the effects of the contents. She was such a naive girl, and sheltered to the point that these crucial lessons breezed over her head. Much of her learning was based on experience. This would be such an instance.

But so far the wine had only served to warm her up, already adding to the heat coming from her pattering heart. Tellios was speaking words to her that she only dreamed about from watching movies or reading books in school. Taking a beast like her and finding some good in her looks and in her heart. She hoped that Tellios really saw the former. There wasn't an ability in her yet to truly show or tell him how she felt. For him. Was she the only one feeling... Something? Was their joy mutual?

As she tried to figure this out she took another long sip of her wine, before proceeding to finally eat a bit at her salad. It was tasty, and made her further pleased with how perfectly things have fallen into place. Even with a conversation like this, where the two had a chance to reveal each other themselves. "You're not a freak. Not now, or ever. If I'm going to be honest with you, I'd think a lot of people would be psyched if they saw a robot walking around. And if they weren't... Well, one day, maybe we could show them. We're just like everyone else really. Sure we look different and have different mannerisms, but we still can be treated like people." She nodded, before reaching out to take another sip of her wine. Almost gone yet again. "I'd like to be comfortable being who I truly am in public one day. So maybe we can do that, and go out as we were made. Because if people would see, they could understand. Humans are mainly afraid of the unknown. And we don't have to be that, if you don't want to." Maybe it was the alcohol talking, giving her more courage than she usually did with this subject. She downed the last bit of wine gently, before waiting and hoping for another fill-up. As she did, he finally assured that at least something was shared. They were still on the same page, but she was feeling the blush with his term of endearment. "You've got a point. All because of that little incident in the theater.. Hm, at least we have a spot nobody can find us, now that I think about it... Like a clubhouse, 'cept... Older, n'stuff... Ha... But while her words ended with a smile, her voice began to trail off as something had begun to occur in her. She felt... Odd. Like her mind was beginning to fog, and the thoughts inside it were beginning to scatter.

"Te...llios? I kinda feel... Funny..." She picked up her wine glass, and looked at him a bit dazed. "May... May I have some more wine, please?"

Tellios looked out the closest window for a moment. He wasn't a freak? This was.. A lot to think about. He closed his eyes to hold something in his head. Maybe if people saw him. Just him. He didn't have to hide anymore. Or feel like an outcast. Most people called him a freak, screamed at him and ran. Even attempted to injure him. Pollyanna..

"Your words are... Flattering. Though I have no preference on the form I use. This is just.. Me. regardless. Though. To walk outside with us as us. Would be a nice change." She was right. It was that day in the theatre that Pollyanna and Tellios came to be a couple. He smiled as he gave the idea of making it their little get away. Their personal project. Somewhere they were safe from everyone. Accepted of each other. "I'd like that. Our own get away. Maybe when we spruce the place up. On opening night w-" He stopped mid sentence. He then grinned a bit with an almost devilish smile. If they ever got that far with each other. Maybe.. Just.... Maybe.

Pollyanna; Showing signs of inebriation. Blood alcohol levels rising

Tellios saw green writing in his eyes as he looked at Pollyanna. He poured her a smaller glass of wine than before. Now was about a quarter of a full cup as he topped his off.

"Slow down Pollyanna." Was all he could say for now. He wanted to be sure she was okay. That she was happy. Though she was drinking wine like it was water instead of taking the time to drink it.

"Haha..." Pollyanna grinned, chuckling for no real reason besides the fact that she was happy. "You’ll always be you… No matter what. When… If… We go out together as we truly are… It wouldn’t be too different for us personally. Well, maybe I won’t be able to kiss you as well..." She giggled a bit more, and put her fork against her salad for another bite. "But at least I can give you better hugs with my wings!"

Though her mind was feeling fuzzy she still was upbeat. She never felt this way before. Pollyanna wasn’t totally naive of everything. She knew so much that this stuff was for adults, and they used it in social gatherings. But… She never had gotten drunk, or been around anyone that did. When she did grow up around her old father, he tried to be as normal and clean as possible for Pollyanna to model after. If she wasn’t going to be human, she ought to be decen. But without someone to watch over her that knew completely what it was like to be a person, she could only trust her limited knowledge and wherever it brought her.

She chirped a thank you when the wine was rationed out to her. This time, she got a lot less than before. She tilted her head in confusion, before shrugging and proceeding to almost down it again. Until his voice cut her off, to which she lowered the glass to the table. "H-huh? Is there a problem Tellios?" Was she doing it wrong? Polly was confused, but didn’t want to think of anything. She just wanted to do, if that made sense. In her head it did. Something about this wine was making her think differently. Rewiring her brain to think differently. To be a little bit braver.

"So… After this.." It took her a second to form the words. "You… You wanna do something else? Spend some more time together? It’s a pretty night out… And it’s not late or nothin..." She went to take a bite of her salad. The leafy greens tasted nowhere near like her alcohol. But, it still tasted great, and she was thankful Tellios took her here. She wanted to give him affection for it but… The dumb table was in the way. "I’m fine with anything.. So long as you’re super happy. Cuz that’s… Super important… Haha..."

"What ever is preferable to you Pollyanna." She became a little more giggly as she was drinking. He raised an eyebrow and took a sip from his drink as he realized how much she said.

Was she really that much of a light weight? Well she didn't drink from what he knew. He wasn't too sure on the effects of alcohol on humans or mutants. Or the people on the island. Though the term mutant for Pollyanna wasn't true. She wasn't a mutant. Not to Tellios. She was a person. A breathing walking person.

She called him out on what he was saying. He had to think of something.

Fast.

So with some quick thinking and processing he snapped his fingers and then looked at Pollyanna. He smiled as he spoke.

"No Pollyanna, I was just getting a bit ahead of myself with time and things." he said with a slight chuckle at the end. He kind of was right. So he just played it off as he was trying to come up with something for that time. Which he wasn't sure if that would happen or not.

"I'd like that, maybe go to the beach again. Enjoy the night sky from there.. Take a walk. That's.. IF you slow down a bit on the wine." He said with a smile. He then took another sip to the point where his was almost done as he only put a quarter in his own cup as he took another sip. "Though could depend on what you had in mind. I.. Could be up for almost anything."

She really wasn’t holding herself on her own. Like, at all. This wine was already making her feel dizzy. But after two glasses and almost another quarter her buzz was going towards its peak. Fortunately she was mild in terms of behavior and still had that bit of her that wanted her date to be perfect. Little did she know that she might be on the verge of ruining it all…

Poor Tellios then was along for the ride. For whatever would happen with the alcoholic experiment would be something that not only reflected herself, but her species. She was built for the flavor, but not the effects. He still looked like he was enjoying himself, which was her main objective no matter what happened. But he was her boyfriend, not her caretaker. He shouldn’t have been, but if Pollyanna didn’t wise up soon, him being her caretaker would be the last of her worries.

Especially if she wanted a future with him. She probably wouldn’t do well with a breakup, and knowing that it was her fault would practically eat her alive. She didn’t like when people were upset with her, and didn’t want to lose friends she had. So when Tellios’ suggestion came with a condition, her initial "Whyyyyy..." was soon corrected. It was then something clicked in her. She blinked, and looked down to her wine. Which was now all gone. The more she drank it, the funnier she felt. And the more things she saw in doubles. And she wanted everything to be clear, so that she could enjoy everything and keep it within the confines of her already dodgy memory. "Wait… This is what’s making me feel weird, isn’t it?"

Yeah. Polly wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box either.

"Oh… Oh I’m sorry. Guess I should uh… Ease up on it… Haha..." She gently nudged the glass away from her, as the blush on her face stayed due to her almost drunken stupor. "I’d… Like a walk along the beach… Very much. If I can make it, that is." She laughed a bit, before shaking her head to clear her mind. Ouch. That sort of hurt. "If not, we can always… Go home. Watch a movie or something together. I’m just pleased to be with you no matter what we do. I just… Hope that my current state… Isn’t in too flimsy a shape.. For you..."

Tellios was worried about Pollyanna, she was being weird. Though she was drunk. So he wanted to make sure she was okay. So thinking that she learned her lesson he poured the same amount of wine he had. He smiled. Which was still a quarter of the cup and the wine bottle was almost empty at this point. As Tellios poured the cup, his eyes began to phase between being black to human. He rubbed his eyes.

His vision began to become fuzzy for a moment as he shakily brought the cup to his mouth and took a drink. He couldn't tell what was going on. He slowly took a drink as he took the drink away. He realized. Something came up.

NOTE OPTION; DO YOU WISH TO READ?___

Tellios visibly nodded his head. His eyes opening wide for a moment. His eyes looking into the drink. He closed them and sighed as he began to slowly take his time getting himself together. He stopped trembling. The note wasn't fully completed.

He looked at Pollyanna with a smile. Though the note bothered him.

To destroy what?

"Quite possibly. You should take your time drinking it."

He wanted to do anything with Pollyanna. Anything. It didn't matter what. He smiled at what she said. He was happy. Really happy. Though something was bothering him now. What was it that she wanted? "How about... A small walk on the beach, then we can go home.. Watch a movie then maybe tomorrow.. We could take out that wall that separates our rooms."

He thought it wasn't going to fly. He wanted to put it forward just to see her reaction. Maybe a bit more room would be nice. Even if it's just a few inches.
