[As a lich, he brought himself back from the dead with his own necromantic ability, so naturally he has a highly advanced knowledge of necromancy. He can bring anything made partially of organic material back from the dead.
Charlie can perform two main types of necromancy:
In the first, Charlie can imbue an undead with a sort of independence. These zombies are independent of Charlie, power wise, and retain a greater memory and cognitive ability than the other variety of undead. These undead are more like they were in life. They can think at a basic level, perform slightly more complex tasks and do things that do not require direct orders. They still obey Charlie and cannot really deviate from things that he tells them to do. For example, he could tell one to cook an omelette, and, if he had taught it to cook an omelette, it could. These zombies are significantly more draining to create than the other variety, about five times more draining, but are more useful and smarter, and able to operate away from Charlie. The number of these types of zombies Charlie can create maxes out at around fourty.
The second variety is the kind Charlie lovingly refers to as his horde. These undead are powered directly from Charlie, and Charlie has to always be around them in order for them to stay active. These undead are much less intelligent that the independent zombies, and operate purely on commands. These undead could not cook an omelette, unless Charlie directed them through each step. They do operate on a sort of memory however. An undead knight would remember how to swing a sword ect. These undead cannot operate at distances away from Charlie, and he has to remain near them. After a distance of about 200 feet, they start to deanimate.
Through extremely powerful necromantic ability, Charlie has the ability to return things as a shape other than which they died in a branch of necromancy he calls Grafting. For example he can turn a human skeleton into a skeletal spider. These grafted zombies cannot become independant zombies and must be part of the 'horde', but he can perform repairs on the undead with body parts that were not originally their own, as long as they retain the majority of the body from one creature, and the form of that creature. These zombies can become independant.
Similar to Charlie, all the undead are weaker in places and around individuals associated with nature magic or divinity.
