Lizzy

Lizzy smirked as she found a good vantage point to watch her carnage unfold. The lounge seemed busy today, good, all the more reason Lizzy had picked now to go through with her plan. It was simple enough, a bluetooth speaker, hidden somewhere in the lounge, and set to play a song on loop. Over and over again, until Lizzy got bored, or the speaker got found. Whichever came first.

Popping in a pair of earplugs, she leaned back in her chair, hit play, and waited.

Almost without warning, very loud music began blasting throughout the lounge, loud enough to get the attention of just about everyone there. Some people tried to find the source, others just left, and Lizzy just watched it all unfold, laughing her butt off at the mayhem that was unfolding.

"Hey, can we get some of that soda again?" Sunshine asked in Warren's head.
"Eh..." Warren thought. "It's not really healthy. Plus, we just had some, like, two minutes ago."
"Warren, the diversification of my perception of your taste buds is necessary for me to better understand human culture, which will, in turn, deepen our connection."
"Yeah, sure."
Warren and Sunshine had just returned from a half an hour flying session. They had encountered a few people in the sky. Once they were finished with their conversations, they returned to the school and Sunshine returned to Warren's body to have some more of the soda that she had recently become obsessed with.
As they entered the student lounge, music began blasting and filled the room, nearly sending Warren out of his skin. When he calmed himself down and surveyed the area, he noticed one girl in particular who was having a very different reaction than everyone else. He approached her.
"Ooh, are you going to tell her off?"
Warren stood in front of the laughing girl. "Excuse me," he said. "Is this your music? If so, do you think you could please turn it down?"

Lizzy

Lizzy was so caught up in enjoying herself, she almost didn't hear someone approach. Almost.

With a sigh, she turned the music down on her phone to a slightly lower volume, still loud enough to hear, but not so bad over by her. After looking at the stranger, she popped out one of her ear plugs, and offered a smirk.

"What music?" Lizzy asked in a sickly sweet tone, and looking around the room. She was clearly playing innocent. "Now, go.. She paused for a second, before continuing "Go bug someone else or do whatever it is people like you do." Lizzy said, offering a dismissive wave. She wasn't about to waste her time listening to this guy.

Warren hoped he was wrong, but he had the immediate suspicion that this person was going to be difficult to persuade. A few of his teammates acted like this when they were feeling especially upset about something. He had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to use the same tactics on her that he used on them, so he tried to appeal to her with something that most students wouldn't want: trouble with teachers.

"Sorry, but it's still too loud," he said, smiling. "People are trying to study in here, and I'm sure those who aren't still don't want music blasting in the room. I'm sure you don't want to hear this from me, but it'd be much more annoying to be confronted by a teacher."

"Warren, she doesn't seem like the type to listen to reason. Challenge her to a race or something."

"Hush, you."

Lizzy

Lizzy just rolled her eyes at this guys warning. "And tell them what, exactly?" She asked, not the least bit intimidated. The moment he went to go get a teacher, she'd just cut the music and play dumb. It'd be easy.

"Besides, I'm not even the one doing it asshole." She snapped back. She was going to hold this lie until he gave her a reason to drop it. Then he spoke, to.... himself? Lizzy couldn't help but let out a snicker at that.

"Are you really talking to yourself? Geez I know there's a lot of freaks on this island, but that takes the cake. Bravo."

Warren's eyes widened. He had tripped himself up trying to talk to both the girl and Sunshine at the same time. "Ah, no, I was..." He was about to tell her about Sunshine, but then an idea came to mind.
"Ah, sorry for bothering you then," he said. "I assumed that, because you were laughing, you were the one who caused the music. It was rude of me to make such an assumption."
"I don't think it was rude at all," Sunshine said.
"Yes, but I have a plan," Warren told her, turning around. He quickly relayed the plan to her and then continued to speak to the girl, making sure she couldn't see his face.
"Well then, I don't suppose you could help find—"
He cut himself off, and in that instant, gave Sunshine control over his body. She projected her own voice from his mouth as loud as she could: "Excuse me?! EXCUSE ME?! Whoever has that music on, please turn it down this instant!" Her voice carried throughout the entire room. The switch had been a bit tricky, but it had the desired effect: it sounded like he had been cut off by another voice. He quickly turned around and said the girl, "I think that was a teacher!"

Lizzy

Shit.

The moment she heard the voice, Lizzy moved like a bullet, using her telekinesis to remove and hide the ear plugs, while slamming the pause button as hard as she could. Finally, the music ended, earning an audible sigh of relief from those still gathered in the lounge.

Turning her attention back to the boy, he was watching her. That meant that he saw everything, she'd just done. Great.

"There, the music's gone. Happy now?" She asked, venom dripping from every syllable. Giving the boy another look, Lizzy noticed he wasn't much taller then her. In fact, they were about the same height. "Ya know, little kids like you should stay out of others business."

As if to demonstrate her point, she possessed one of the nearby pillows. Just for a second, but long enough for her eyes to start glowing. Maybe now this kid could leave her alone, and she could go back to causing mischief.

Warren watched as the girl's ear plugs removed themselves from her ears and disappeared somewhere, and then the music turned off. The students in the lounge made their relief clear. Warren sighed as well. Sunshine returned his body to him.
"That was a nice plan," she said.
"Thank you."
Warren could immediately tell that the girl wasn't happy. Before he had the chance to be offended by the "little kids" comment, her eyes changed color. He leaned towards her a little, then leaned back, being aware of her personal space. "Whoa. How'd you do that?" he asked. "Make you eyes change color, I mean?" It reminded him of Sunshine.

Lizzy

Lizzy sank into herself as the stranger leaned in. She didn't know what he was doing, but she didn't like it. "H.. Hey! Personal space! She yelled, pointlessly waved her arms in front of her, as if it could maybe make this guy back off, while muttering under her breath "You'd think they'd teach stuff like that here."

"Whoa. How'd you do that? Make your eyes change, I mean?"

Lizzy raised an eyebrow at that. That's what this kid was impressed with? They were on an island with demons, and aliens and all sorts of other weird shit, and he was impressed that her eyes could glow? And top it off, it was just a side effect of her powers. The glowing eyes didn't actually do anything.

But this kid was stroking her ego, so she'd indulge him. For now.

"What, thiss?" She asked, possessing the pillow again, except this time she held it for a few more seconds, long enough for her eyes to completely change color to an orangish-red, and clearly non natural hue. "I dunno, it's just a little trick I picked up. I really shouldn't be sharing it."

Warren had to remind himself that he didn't know the boundaries of anyone here. He had been hanging around his teammates a lot lately and had been accustomed to being allowed in their personal space, so he became complacent. He apologized to the girl.
Warren hummed. "Well, if you can't share it, that's okay," he said. "I was just asking because the color of your eyes reminded me of..." He deliberated on how to phrase it. "My own wings."
"Um, I think you mean my wings," Sunshine said.
"I do, but I'd like to not reveal you just yet." He prodded the core in his body and Sunshine's wings appeared in a slight flash behind him, albeit much smaller, of course. He curled a wing around his body and looked at it. "Hm... I suppose it's not the exact same color as your eyes."
