Changing Winds

Aedan had asked Tesa to meet him in the park, it was kind of sudden but she didn't think much of it. Aedan has his reasons and a walk in the park sounded like a good change of pace. Tesa did however make a stop at their house to drop off her school supplies and other unneeded stuff. Because of that she was a little late in getting to the park.

Once she was there she began to hunt around for Aedan and for a brief bit she felt like it was the pool party all over again. But she breathed a sigh of relief as she saw him next to a tree. Picking up the pace she arrived in front of her love with a smile. "Sorry for being late hun. Had to drop my things off at home." She moved forward and embraced him and placed a long kiss on his lips.

He kissed her and the began to walk Tesa leaning into Aedan. "Well, we're here so we can talk." The way he worded his next few comments began to worry her but she ran with it. "Well. I Love you, to start with. You have a selfless heart. You've helped me come to terms with what happened with my mother. I helped you with what happened in the your past as well." She looked up into Aedan's eyes. Worry must be obvious on her face.

"But, why are you asking hun?" She moved away and stepped infront of Aedan. "I think you are the embodiment of the tales of heros. You help people Aedan, You helped me. But what your saying is worrying. So I want you to tell me. What is wrong?" Tesa was on the verge of tears. She was worrying now that Aedan was going to break things off. Even with everything they had done together, would he really break her heart like this?

First as Aedan talked she shook her head. Tesa did not want to leave him, why was he throwing her away like this, was it something she had done or didn't do? Some unforeseeable effect of something she had done? How could she know what the problem was if he did not tell her and only spoke in this vague poetry.

But Aedan's words shifted from those that would sound very much like a break up to him seeming to get ready to pull something out from a pocket. Tesa's mind was already working as to try to decipher the messages buried in the subtext. As Aedan's hands came out from his pocket Tesa was in revelation mode and her body was already beginning to act in reflex. Her balled fist was hurtling straight for Aedan's face. Tesa having been told that if a man wanted her for wife they would need to take her for that is how strong children are made... or at least what she learned from her Spartan relatives and a part of Tesa agreed with this statement.

Of course, Aedan was much stronger then her... but there was a point she had to make a point. With the force of her punch it had allowed Tesa to hop back and her body went into a defensive positioning not to dissimilar to when she spared with Aedan. But... he wasn't advancing... It was then that she heard his words. Tesa blinked a few times as she tried to think of what was wrong. Was he not proposing to her?

"Wha... um, aren't you proposing to me?" She still had her hands up ready for him to pounce on her if she let her guard down but her face was confused. "I...well... um this is awkward... But um... well I grew up with... well the Spartan idea of a wedding Proposal..." She gave Aedan a quick flash of a grin. "so... well, you kinda need to drag me back to the house to make me yours."

Tesa gave another soft grin as Aedan comprehended what she meant. Then in a flash he was throwing a few jabs her way. She knew this wasn't him going as fast as he could or even as strong as she could get. But something in her heart relished in the fact that he accepted to do things this way for her. It made her smile all that much happier as she twisted or spun out of the way of one of his punches.

However knowing this was more just a fomality and a simple dance to please her expectations it wasn't a surprise when Aedan picked her up from the ground and threw her over his shoulder. She let out an almost childlike squeal of delight as he did so. Before he could move anywhere though she planted her elbows on his back so she could support her head in her hands and she let out a small belly laugh as she replied to his yet unasked question that they both knew was there. "Of course I'll marry you Aedan you big goof of a man. But did you really need to make it sound like you were breaking up with me a minute ago?"
