Build: Voluptuous Bust Reference Ceidwen walks and speaks with an air of confidence. Her hair falls to her chin and she prefers to keep her bangs over her right eye. She favors pale blonde hair and sees no reason to stray from her preferences. Her skin is lighter in complexion, with a rosy tinge to it, to help blend with her pinkish-purple eyes. She is a shapely woman with a defined hourglass figure. Ceidwen rarely wears form-fitting attire, and while her choices aren't exactly shapeless, they do help to keep the dip of her waist hidden. She is fond of cream as a color choice, with splashes of black or muted purples. Her legs and rear are shaped in a way that suggests regular cardio workouts and she's got long lithe fingers. Ceidwen has a heavy Welsh and Irish dialect that only thickens when she is frustrated or angry. Fae Form
In her true form, Ceidwen looks much the same as her human form. Her facial shape is the same, save for long, upward slanted eyes and elfin ears. Atop her head sits curled, golden horns adorned with intricate swirled patterns and ridges at their underside. Her face, like the rest of her body, is designed in red, gold, green, white, and purple markings. She has red markings down the bridge of her nose and along her forehead, reaching for her ears and horns. Along with white traces fanning outward from her nose and white swirls under her eyes. Ceidwen's pink eyes actually glow in this form. They are pupilless and appear liquidy. Her tongue is long and pointed. Her hair is pure white and reaches her mid-back. Her figure remains, though her skin is a dark blue mixed with dots and streaks of white. As a Fae, her legs are different. Powerful, digitigrade limbs with a sharp, clawed heel and clawed toes. Her skin is mostly spongy in feeling, excluding her lower stomach, chest, and feet which are fitted with a durable exoskeleton. |
Personality
Ceidwen has been forced into a passive position for most her life making her stubborn about the decisions she makes.
While she doesn't show it often, Ceidwen is terrified of herself, her abilities, and her father. She often wonders what the effect of all these things will have on her children.
Being Fae and growing up in Underhill's culture has left its mark on Ceidwen. She is easily offended and prickly. She can be hard to get along with, and there's always that feeling she's picking her words very carefully.
She would say she's at her best when focused. She is very goal-oriented and works best alone or in a small group. Ceidwen is much better with details than the whole picture, so she focuses more on the fine arts and has a particular gift for music.
Abilities
The Eros are a rare form of Fae feared Underhill for their ability to lie where most Fae cannot and their ability to feed off love. "Love" being a general term for affection or sexual gratification. They are sometimes referred to as "Cupids," and their court in Underhill has been branded Cupid's Court.Actives
Glamour: The Eros have a strong form of glamour that allows for them to create hard light illusions upon themselves. They can make themselves taller, or shorter, or change nearly anything about their body, including sex.Making themselves look like they have wings won't give them the ability to fly and changing their sex won't let them bear children. Height changes do actually change their size, just like bending their sex does allow for sexual intercourse as that sex.
Basic things are easy, but completely changing her appearance from the two she's gotten adequate with (her male and female form respectively) isn't something she's good at and the glamour would be flimsy and unnatural. Biologically, she is female, and cannot sire children.
Lethal Intercourse: Ceidwen can kill someone during sexual intercourse. It isn't instantaneous, but excess feeding can 'break' a person's soul and their sanity.
Upon feeding too much, the person she is feeding on will be aware that something is wrong. A mixture of euphoria and something twisted and frozen. It's an empty, used feeling that lasts. To feed this way is completed on a climax. At that peak, a person will break if Ceidwen has been feeding on them throughout the entire sexual session.
The death is a slow one. The person loses their sanity, speaking in incomplete sentences and feeling intense fear and dread. Then the sickness sets in. Something utterly inhuman that has them bedridden with rare moments of lucidity, no longer wanting to eat or drink. The entire process can take upward of a month.
Theoretically, a person can be saved from this. If someone is to feed them and keep them hydrated. If a way is found for them to lose that fear and fix the shattered remains of their sanity. But even then, something would always feel amiss, cold inside, stolen from them. And that isn't something they would ever get back.
Mark of the Fae: Ceidwen can give someone the mark of the Fae. This mark deems someone a friend or foe of a particular court Under the Hill. All Fae can see this mark and know who gave it and to which court the Fae who placed it belongs. Ceidwen must state openly to the person she has marked that they have been marked and which mark has been given to them. She must also say to which court their mark applies.
Passives
Feeding Empowerment: Feeding on people empowers Ceidwen, adding youth to her already long lifespan, along with increases in strength and speed (professional athlete level). After feeding, the Eros can take a damn good amount of damage; their body can rebuild from anything that doesn't destroy the heart.These abilities last up to two weeks. If the Eros isn't feeding at all after these two weeks they will go through withdraw symptoms, very similar to hardcore drugs.
A little feeding, say through a kiss, isn't enough for their empowerment to kick in, but can subside the adverse effects of their withdraw along with giving them a euphoria boost. To gain the above abilities, an Eros must have sex.
Selective Nullification Bracelet: Her Twisted Love ability is inverted. Rather than it affecting other people, it affects Ceidwen.
Sexual Vision: Ceidwen knows everything about a person's sex life by looking at them. This includes their sexual history, their sexuality, and their fetishes. This information is given to her through a form of clairvoyance.
Weaknesses
Deep Sleep: When the Eros sleep, it is very deep, and few things wake them. They don't need as many hours as most people, clocking in at an average five hours rather than eight. Sleeping remedies and medication works ten times better on them and even the weakest sleep-aids put them out in around twenty minutes. Sleep is their most vulnerable state.Fae Debt: Ceidwen is honor-bound by the debts she makes. She is bound by a particular debt until it has been paid. Magic makes her agree to a request when she is bound, so long as the request is equal to the debt she owes.
The number of favors does not repay debts. If you were to save her or her daughter's life, she is obliged by code to repay such a favor. Depending on what you do for that Fae it can be repaid in one to one hundred favors.
Ceidwen can break a debt and tell a person no, but if she does she would be branded an outsider to Underhill and all its inhabitants, never to return again.
Iron: Ceidwen is weak to Iron. Touching iron feels like severe burning and being around iron (like being locked in a cage of iron) is just constant, throbbing pain. It's enough pain that Ceidwen would be on the floor, writhing in agony.
Love Addicted: The Eros are dependent on love and desire. For them, it is both curse and cure. Being in the same proximity as those in an affectionate or aroused state isn't enough for them, though they're drawn to places of desire. The smell of love or desire is similar to the aroma of good food. It causes hunger but does not sate it.
To feed, the Eros need skin contact. To feed well, an Eros needs a form of sexual contact like kissing or intercourse. The Eros do not need to feed like this to remain alive, they can eat human foods. Desire and love of any kind are extremely addictive to the Eros. The more they give in and taste it, the harder it is for them to stop. This makes relationships difficult for them. They can rarely stay platonic with anyone.
This means they must decide to completely forgo physical contact with those they love if they wish not to be tempted into feeding. The more the person loves them (different than just wanting them) the better and more fulfilling their feeding is. In general, the Eros get people to love them just so that they may use them for feeding purposes.
The Heart: Even at their most powerful, the Eros' heart is their weakest point. Stabbing it with any sharp object is enough to kill them and put them down for good.
Slim Population: Unfortunately, the Eros are rare because they struggle with reproduction. Having an Eros child is extremely rare. The gene is recessive, and one is never half Eros. Having children with any mythical creature that can be birthed virtually never results in an Eros child. The Eros are most likely to have a cupid child with humans.
Twisted Love: Has a natural aura that twists all forms of affection. Even as children, people rarely feel chaste toward the Eros. Love or affection toward one of them has a tendency to become possessive, controlling, or obsessive. It also has the inclination to become sexualized. This can make people act uncharacteristically jealous or go into fits of rage. The magic only pulls what a person is capable of to the forefront.
Everything the Eros touch becomes dysfunctional. It would take lots of effort, compromise, and trust for love between an Eros and anyone else to remain healthy. With two Eros, the task is impossible.
History

She grew up with many of her half-sibling humans, but none of the Fae, who were all a few hundred years old by then. She was close to a handful of them, but many of them resented her for the blatant favoritism her father showered her in. Many whispered that he loved her, perhaps, too much.
○ By ten years old Ceidwen had been sold off as a bride to a Finfolk by the name of Murdo.
○ Murdo proved to be a controlling and abusive husband, though his ire settled when Ceidwen became pregnant and later birthed their daughter, Ravina.
○ Hiraeth, a family heirloom, came to her when she needed the weapon most. It helped her to slay her husband and leave Underhill with her daughter. The human world, she had found, was almost harder to understand than Underhill. A month had passed before Ceidwen and Ravina received a letter for Starlight Academy. With nowhere else to turn, Ceidwen was willing to give the island a chance.
○ Has since met and married a beautiful woman and accepted Mia's children as her own.

Ceidwen is a police officer. Most of her home income comes from her wife, Mia, who works with a large company to sell her jewelry. But having three children takes its toll and Ceidwen is far from being rich.

○ Both her father, Weylin, and husband, Murdo, were known among Underhill. Her father more so than her late husband. Her father's court is called Cupid's Court, almost jokingly so, but is talked about in hushed whispers.
