Standing silently in the middle of a dimly lit room, Aurora faces a small black stand with a book filled with a seemingly random assortment of papers. These papers however are not random, and not just bits and pieces of parchment. Standing silently in a much longer blue robe, glasses firmly planted on her face, Aurora raises her arms against a non-existent choir and opens her hand as a small song...small, but only for a short moment.

If one were to listen closely, there is a second-soprano voice singing amongst the harmonies in the speakers, hands waving lightly and accenting the score as if trying to draw out words from her singers. You can hear the words lowly synchronize with the BYU singers that her recording was based off of...

"In whose sweet words her inspiration shows,
Revealing insights deep and thoughts profound.
O shall Cecelia, or shall Goddess Muse
Reach then to me across eternal skies?"

Occasionally she wonders herself why the words are so important, and quickly remembers herself and her heritage. It's a mixed one, but one found deep in the polymath mages of the 15 and 1600's. As the song ends, she lowers her arms and finds the door to the practice auditorium slightly ajar, with someone peering in from outside watching her performance...if you can call a director's motions a performances. Sometimes you could.

"Come in, come in. You're not interrupting anything."

Aurora tilted back somewhat, popping her back after having stood for well over an hour rehearsing various choral and band pieces from once again, various conductors and composers...and she was not yet done. It would however be prudent to take a break and entertain guests. There was no doubt she was wanting to meet new people.

Although sometimes it didn't work quite the other way around.

Laura hovered outside the music room. She didn't know why she had ended up here, it wasn't like she could play an instrument, though she'd been told she had perfect hands for playing the piano. And the music they were playing didn't particularly entice her either. She shrugged, she just had a feeling something was going to happen here and she wanted to know what that was.

After brushing her curls away from her face, to behind her shoulders she stepped inside. She looked around the room, narrowing her eyes. She didn't feel uncomfortable as such but she felt out of place. She'd always felt out of place before, but usually in Starlight Academy she felt like she belonged.

"Hi." Laura didn't know what else to say. She glanced at Aurora, she hadn't seen her before. "Who are you?"

Coming to the practice auditorium was something of a new experience for most students. Aurora didn't have much of a choir or band, or anything else of that matter to work on yet, but in time, maybe it would pan out. Instead, she had been teaching theory and the history behind music, and despite good impressions from the students, it was still a subject that most students stayed away from. It was boring, repetitive, and there wasn't much way to go about making it more fun besides doing a jig and dance.

It's why she got into conducting. At that point, Aurora COULD do a jig and dance, but it meant something, and her students got much more out of it than just a face full of words. It wasn't ability training or learning how to kill someone...but it was a cultural necessity.

The mage took off her coat and set it over a nearby chair as one of the students timidly made their way in, despite there being no class whatsoever to speak of at the moment.

"Good morning!"

This was going to be an equally awkward introduction most likely. Thirteen was a good conversationalist, but even after 140 years of talking to people, introductions were still always the hardest. Didn't mean however that she couldn't be happy about having a visitor for once.

"Aurora Silivasi. Or Thirteen if you wish, I go by either. I'm the director of music education here."

And that was that. Titles were for later.

"And you? You look like you are lost of the sort."

This was a bit weird. She wasn't ready for this. Claire, spending most of her time in the forest, wasn't one to take extra classes, but she wanted to try one out. Sighing, she entered the music room. 'I wonder who the teacher will be.' She thought to herself. Claire hadn't looked it up or anything, she just wanted to try it. As she entered she saw someone else, as well as the teacher. "Hello, I'm Claire. I was wondering in this was the right place to be if I wanted to do the music class?" Lets hope she didn't sound desperate or weird.

While one girl had been strangely quiet, another had found her way quietly in, asking simply if she had found the correct room for music class. Well...

"That's both a yes and a no. I only teach in here sometimes, but for the time being, yes, you've found the right place if you've come for practice."

Although, now Aurora was curious, was there a class scheduled for now? If so, she was in the wrong spot...although she couldn't remember anything. No, there was no class. Aurora leaned in somewhat.

"...I don't do generic music classes, what kind of stuff are you into?"

"Morning," Laura replied, curtly. She didn't really classify it as a good morning, then again it wasn't a bad morning, just nothing out of the ordinary had happened. She ended up pulling out a chair and sitting down on it, her legs felt weak. This room was stuffy, to say the least.

"Aurora," Laura repeated, nodding. It was a nice name, "that's a pretty one." She wasn't usually one for giving compliments, but when she did they were genuine. "Why do you go by Thirteen?" She tilted her head, it seemed strange but perhaps it had some personal relevance to this lady.

Then again Laura felt a little wary of this woman, she was very friendly but she was also a director of education and people in authority made her slightly nervous. "Laura Daly." She supplied, though she couldn't see why Aurora would be interested in who she was. "I, I suppose I am?" Laura shrugged, "I mean I don't even play an instrument, I have no reason to be here."

Someone else had entered the room, and Laura looked over her shoulder to see who it was. She hadn't seen the girl before, though it didn't take long before she found out her name.

As she heard the other girl talk, she was silent, wanting the older girl to answer for the both of them. "Good." She said happily. It wasn't everyday that she actually found the right place to be in this school. Always being late or lost, even if she had been here for a while now. "And I don't like generic music anyways. I am actually quite new to the whole subject. I'm not into the whole, main stream type stuff."

Pausing, Claire thought of what type of music she actually liked. Being in the forest of most of her life so far, only meant that she music was natural nature sounds. "I can sing though?" She smiled a bit, unsure of what to say. Looking over, she saw another girl, and smiled a bit at her, but not wanting to start a conversation with the girl.
