Kat's eyes narrowed a little as she took her shoe back from him and returned it to its proper place on her foot. That felt better. She gave the male a once-over. 'Working on it', sure. Perhaps he should work a bit harder. It was just bad manners to go chasing a defenseless cat in the middle of a precious nap in the sun.

"What are you?" she asked him, scenting the air. He smelled like dog, and...something else she couldn't quite place. It wasn't a death-like smell, like John. She wasn't sure what that scent was supposed to be. "Some kind of weird dog is my best guess. I can't see I've ever seen a dog shifter with horns, though. Not a werewolf, definitely. Those smell different." She crossed her arms and stared at him thoughtfully, trying to figure it out.

What he was, was a mystery to him as well. He hadn't grown up with his family related by blood, no, he was a street dog, or so he had thought until old man Wolfe caught him.. Noah where definitely a form of shifter or werecreature of the canine variety. He had previously thought of himself as a dog, but then he found out he had a two legged form, yet not human because of his horns.

"I am a Hound." Or that was what he was identifying as, since he didn't know he was a dog shifter/Hellhound hybrid.

"But.." He leaned his head slightly in curiosity "What are you? A cat so not Human, yet two legged." Maybe she was a form of were or shifter, though these where only guesses because she had spoken of them in her guess. Out of all the cats he had previously chased, she had been the only one to change into a two legged and he didn't voiced his guess because he didn't wan't to look stupid.

"A...hound," she repeated, as though his response was one of the dumbest things she'd ever heard, which it probably was. That didn't explain much of anything. Hound was just another word for dog, and he wasn't just a dog, not with the way he transformed like that. And the horns? He must have been some kind of demon. She scented the air again, picking through the smells...dog was definitely there, and something that smelled like soot and...death. Yes, probably a demon of some sort.

Her arms unfurled and she let one hand rest on her hip as she looked him over, deciding whether or not to actually answer his question. She supposed it wouldn't do much harm, despite his non-answer that he'd given her. At least she knew what she was. "Anthromorph," she shrugged. "I have two forms, cat, and...sort-of-human," her tail swished in the air and her ears twitched as she caught a few noises, mostly just people that were walking around nearby.

Anth...He wasn't good with big fancy words, he could learn and repeat them, though unless explained, the meaning would be lost on him. He was however not stupid and when she explained her two forms, it was easy to put two and two together. Had he known that before he might have identified as that.

Once the two had done the greeting ritual and explained what they both where, well sort of, Noah wondered if he should do the apologizing thing. Why was two legged so complex and weak, it was so much easier being a dog, you just showed who was the boss and everyone fell in line. But old man Wolfe was now part of his pack and Noah helps his pack whenever possible, so he had to at least try to do things the two legged way.

"I really am sorry." Nodded slightly with his head, he just couldn't bow as it was a sign of submitting, a weakness he didn't have as a dog, as an alpha.

It was then that his stomach started to growl and he remembered what he was doing before the instincts took over, shopping for food, though he had yet to discover that students ate for free. A sign that he hadn't read the introductory papers of the school, he should do that, he should probably have done that as soon as he got them, it may have helped him locating his dorm room.

From the blank look that crossed his face from when she told him what she was, she could tell that he had no idea what an Anthromorph was, or what the word even meant, so she was glad she'd explained it in better detail for him. He obviously wasn't the English scholar that she was, but then again, not many people were...which was proven by her constant needs of tutoring her fellow and, oftentimes considerably lesser students.

She turned his apology over in her mind, obviously taking her time and letting him squirm a little, knowing that the hungry growls from his stomach would just make his wait that much more painful. Finally, after several moments of silence and looking him over, Kat nodded, "Apology accepted." He seemed remorseful enough. "Just don't let it happen again, or I will chop you up and sell you to that Chinese restaurant down the street," she said pointedly, before turning on her heel and walking away to find a better spot to nap where she wouldn't be interrupted again.
