Upon hearing the scratching at the door, Solitude's eyes went completely wide and she stared at the wooden frame in fear. Of course. Something had to come when she was defenseless. She sat up quickly, far too quickly for her own good, and cringed, whimpering from the pain. She let a pained breath, her heart race becoming slightly faster because she was scared. If an animal came in here and hurt her in any way while Nathaniel was gone, that guy was going to be dead. He had done enough to her.

However, when the leopard himself walked in, she relaxed somewhat and let out a breath of relief. Well, good. She hadn't noticed the rabbit in his mouth, but if she had, she probably would have been a bit disgusted. She wasn't big on meat, for one thing, but a rabbit, of all things?

She gently put herself back in a resting position, making sure not to hurt herself in the process. It did cause her a little bit of pain, but not as much as moving too fast had done. She closed her eyes again, and in a moment, was back into a light sleep. Solitude didn't even realize when he checked for a heart beat and for breathing.

When the smell of the cooking food reached her, though, her eyes opened again. Apparently she wouldn't be getting some good, actual rest for a while. She pushed herself up just slightly so she wasn't exactly laying down and wasn't exactly sitting up. "What'd ya get?" she asked, wanting to know what she was going to be eating before she put anything in her mouth.

Snowpaw looked up from where he had been leaning over the pan containing the rabbit. His silver gaze met the girl's eyes.

''I found a rabbit. It won't taste much, but at least its something to eat.'' He said answering her inquiery.

He had a wooden spoon in his hand, twirling the liquid containing the rabbit from time to time, insuring it was cooked everywhere. He certainly didn't want to eat half cooked meat in his human form. His taste buds wouldn't agree on that, as well as his stomach or the girl's for that matter wasn't made for that.

He stood up and walked over to the various drawers, stepping over the squeleton as he went. maybe there was a box of salt hidden somewhere, salt couldn't go bad over the years, could it? He found an old metal box with a relief of the word salt on one side. He pulled the lid off and looked inside, to his relief, no dead mice was waiting for him there.

There was only salt, a huge block of congregated salt. He tugged the lock out of the box and held it at his eye level, wondering if he should use it or not. Shrugging, he took a small knife from its leather sheat at his side and walked over the rabbit's cooking remains and scrapped the blade over the block of salt some of it fell in the pan and he replaced his knife where it belonged.

He spooned it a bit and tasted the soup around the rabbit and found it was better than he thought it would be. He left his spoon in the pan and walked over the young woman, wanting to check on her injuries. He sat on the bed and proceeded to uncover her, it was warm enough in the cabin for her not to feel unconfort at the temperature.

''I found a rabbit. It won't taste much, but at least its something to eat.''

Rabbit? Oh, how delightful. She had never eaten that before. "Oh... uh... great?" Solitude didn't know what else to say. All she knew was that if it turned out to taste bad, she wasn't eating it. Too bad if she needed food, she would wait until the storm was over and have the guy walk her back to the academy. She wasn't used to people fussing over her besides Misery, and she knew that her sister knew how to take care of her. Hopefully it would taste alright, though.

The young woman still hadn't seen the skeleton. That was good. She probably would have freaked out slightly and thought Nathaniel to be some murderer that had left someone here to rot, and she was his next victim. Hurray for paranoia.

As he sat on the bed, an eyebrow raised slightly. Oh, how wonderful, he was going to check on her wounds again. At least, she believed so. "You know, you don't have to fuss over me... with checking on me like, every five seconds and all..." Solitude told him. She wasn't used to it, but with a past like her own, that wasn't all too surprising. "I'm sure the wounds are fine by now. They're all sewed up and stuff, right? I don't think that they're going to just randomly burst open."

So maybe that was a bit rude, but she didn't care. She didn't like being the center of attention like this. Even if he felt guilty, he didn't need to constantly watch over her. She wasn't hurt that bad, after all. Well... alright, maybe she was hurt that bad, but even so, she didn't feel like he needed to always check on her.

Nathaniel simply gave her a look that told he was unimpressed. He wasn't feeling particularly well and it made him more than a little irritable. He wasn't about to be walked over by some picky female.

''Yes great, at least I got something for us to eat.'' He said sarcasm and a hint of anger coating his voice. ''I suggest you eat it when it is ready, I would prefer you did that on your own instead of me having to force feed you.''

He continued to peel the blankets off of her, checking her wounds for any signs of infection, if she had infection in her wounds, he wasn't sure he would be able to treat it properly and they still couldn't walk out in the storm to get back to the school. To his relief, there was no visible redness or swelling.

He placed some blankets to support her when he saw she was sitting up, it would do no good if she was to exhaust herself more. At least now the irritating girl wouldn't fall back and hit her head on the headboard, that would be bad.

''It is not the sticthes I am worried about, Infection could start anytime and I don't have the medecine to patch you up in that case.'' He said before covering her up again.

When he was tucking her in in her sitting position, he stood from the bed and walked back to his previous station. Sitting, he absentmindly pushed the rabbit around in the pan, hu7gging innocently his middle over the burnt part of his chest. It was amazing the other hadn't seen it yet since he didn't wear clothes on his higher half.

The grey haired hybrid poked the rabbit and saw the meat detached itself easily from the bones, the dense broth around it would be a good nourishment for the injured girl. Standing again from the rocking chair, he took a bowl from a nearby drawer and cleaned it in the cauldron. He took out a spoon and a fork and set out to get Solitude her dinner.

He put meat in the bowl as well as broth, for now it would be enough, but he was thinking of making some pine tea to get the girl some vitamins and more good things, none of what he would give her probably would taste good, but that couldn't be helped. He wouldn't be afraid to forcefeed her if necessary. The young man walked to her bowl in hand and sat on the bed, waiting to see if she would be feeling well enough to eat by herself.

(I look forward to forcefeeding Solitude.)

''Yes great, at least I got something for us to eat.''

She rolled her eyes at the tone of his voice. "Well excuse me," she said, sarcasm showing in her own reply as well. When he mentioned that he didn't want to force feed her, Solitude snorted. "That makes two of us, then." Really, how old was she, five? She didn't need someone to feed her for her. She could pick up a spoon or a fork, chew, and swallow on her own. If he even tried to feed her, she would just steel the eating utensil from him and feed herself.

''It is not the sticthes I am worried about, Infection could start anytime and I don't have the medecine to patch you up in that case.''

Again, the seventeen year old rolled her eyes. Infection? She had never had one of those in all her painful experiences. Not that she remembered, at least... oh well. "I doubt that'll happen, I've never had one before," she told him, figuring she needed to calm him down. He was being way too paranoid. Then again, things just seemed to keep getting worse and worse today... an infection would just add to that. She shook her head slightly to push the thought away, then sighed.

Once he left and returned with the bowl, she just stared at him, then held out her hands slightly, showing she was ready to take the bowl from him. She was not going to let him feed her. That just wasn't an option. She refused to be treated like a child when she was a young adult — it was completely out of the question.

The leopard hybrid snorted softly under his breath and put the bowl in her outstretched hands. He waited to see if she would be able to eat by herself before walking to the cauldron and taking some for himself. He sat himself on the bed, his back leaning on the wall where a window showed the storm still raging outside the small house.

He stretched his legs in from of him, his aching tired muscles protesting the movement. He was feeling a bit achy, but he figured he would be alright with some rest, a good night's sleep would do wonders he decided. Not bothering to wait for her, he started to eat what he had placed in his bowl.

It was more easy to say than to do as his stomach didn't quite agree with his idea. He was coming down with something, but chose to ignore what his body was telling him and he ate some of what was inside the bowl, not waiting to taste it as the warmth flooded his sense. it was wonderful since he had been so cold for a while now.

The leopard human could not help the glance he gave his much more human companion as he ate, his gaze discreet as to not disrupt her from her meal. He could not see signs of infection in her and he was glad about it, a few days and she would be back on her feet, or at least he hoped so. He didn.t particularly fancy getting stuck with her for longer than necessary.

The young man sipped what was left of the somehwat insipide but hot and nutricious broth, his hunger sated for the moment, he let the spoon fall with a clatter in his porcelain bowl and he looked up to see if she was finished.

As he put the bowl in her hands, Solitude took it carefully, her hands shaking slightly. Don't drop it... don't drop it... she thought to herself. She brought it closer to her and rested the lip of the bowl right against her collar bone. Alright, with it in her hands and against her, it would probably be harder to accidentally have it fall.

She took the spoon between her weak fingers, and carefully scooped up some of the food. She looked at Nathaniel out of the corner of her eye, watching as he ate some of it before she did, just in case there was some sort of poison in this. One couldn't be too careful, after all. After seeing that he was fine, the seventeen year old slowly put the food in her mouth. The corner of her left eye twitched and she almost gagged, but she forced herself to chew and swallow.

This was definitely the last time she would be eating rabbit. She really didn't like it. Even if it didn't have much of a taste, what little it had didn't particularly make her mouth water. But, she would have to force herself to keep eating, otherwise he might force the stuff down her throat.

Ugh... when can I just get out of here... she thought to herself, taking another bite and still trying not to gag. First he beats her up, then takes her here instead of back to school, and lastly feeds her some disgusting soup. Her first day here couldn't get any better, could it?

After a third swallow, she looked to her company. "Is that enough?" she asked him. Three small bites wasn't a lot, considering that there was still quite a bit of food left in the bowl. Solitude waited for an answer, expecting it to be a no, but was hoping for a yes. It would be a nice little surprise.

Turning to the girl, he looked at the content of her bowl, a small sigh escaped his pale lips. The hybrid gave the girl a raised eyebrow, he at least had eaten all that had been in his bowl even if it didn't taste great. Well, he was kind of used to bad tasting food, but that was simply a detail.

He gave her a look and scooped up the bed to sit next to her. His back was to the headboard, arms crossed over his chest.

"You know, I could just forcefeed you until I deem you have eaten enough. You will eat all of it." he said in a serious voice.

He wasn't in the mood for her complaining, he simply sat there, one would say he was slightly put off by the whole situation. He had begun to feel more and more sick as time went, but she was injured farther than he was, so he didn't pay attention to it, concentrating on her instead.

"Now, finish that and get to sleep, you need rest, just as I do." He told the injured young woman.

He knew she probably wasn't going to obey, but that was another matter entirely. He wasn't going to love feeding her like a bay, but he would do it if he had to.

"You know, I could just forcefeed you until I deem you have eaten enough. You will eat all of it."

Solitude scowled at him defiantly. She stuck out her bottom lip a bit in a tiny pout, and looked down at her bowl. He was going to force feed her? Ha. She would like to see him try it. "I'm done eating," she said, looking back at him, sounding just as disobedient as she looked.

There was no way she was going to let him force feed her. She wasn't a child, she knew how to feed herself. The young woman also knew what she liked and what she didn't, and she wasn't going to eat this. He couldn't make her, no one could make her do anything. So what if she wasn't being entirely sensible? If he tried to order her around, she wasn't going to listen. She didn't obey anyone but her own self.

"Now, finish that and get to sleep, you need rest, just as I do."

She scoffed. "I don't appreciate being ordered to do things," she said to him. "I'll sleep if I decide I want to. And as I've said, I'm not finishing this. If you don't like it, too bad."

She gave him an arrogant little smirk, almost daring him to try and force feed her. She was too weak to really do anything against him, but being the female she was, Solitude would try her best to make sure she got her way with this. She stared at him with a steady gaze, waiting for his reaction.

A large toothy smile graced the young man's lips, showing two rows of pointy teeth. The answer hadn't really take him by susprise. He stood on his knees on the bed, walking towards the female and taking the bowl from her hands, placing it next to her and placing the spoon inside of it. Not waiting on her, he caught both her arms in his larger hands and placed her's under his knees in a way it wouldn't cut her blood flow.

It had the advantage of trapping her hands so he could feed her. He usually wasn't this cruel, but it needed to be done. He placed the bowl in his lap and took the spoon. With his unused hand, he pinched her nose closed, ready to shove the 'soup' in her mouth the moment she opened it to breath. of course, he would make sure she wasn't choking and it and he would make her swallow it obediently.

He could and would not fear to do it. He plunged the spoon in the bowl and approached the filled spoon to her mouth, intently raising an eyebrow. He would feed her, even if it included her loosing a tad of her freedom for the duration of her forcefeedings. He would take a great pleasure in her disgruntled expression. He pushed l;ightly the side of his spoon against her lips.
