Solitude only continued to walk back to the shore. What else could she do, really? She wasn't stupid enough to want to stay on breaking ice, and she couldn't exactly just run at the leopard and stab it to death. She didn't even know if she wanted to kill it yet. Well, she would just cross that bridge when she got to it, she supposed.

The fact that he was staring at her like that made her uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. She swallowed, and was so busy in watching Snow Paw to make sure he didn't pounce on her that once she reached solid ground, she almost tripped. She caught herself before doing so, though. It would not have been good if she fell.

Blood began to fall to the snow, just like it had over the water. She sort of felt bad for all the little kids that would want to go ice skating or play in the snow later, since, after all, everything was covered in blood. It wasn't her fault this animal decided to attack her, though, so she wasn't the only one to blame.

She continued to merely look at the animal, unsure of what it would do next.

snowpaw was about to follow when the ice broke under him. It was fortunate that the girl was already on shore. It a splash, hse was in the water from his neck down, only one paw having found ground to get a foothold on. he was now in an ackward situationHe put his free front paw on the ice and dug his claws in it.

The cold had hit his wound bad and it made him shiver. But once again, he succeeded after a few tries to get himself out of the cold water hole. He finally mad it to shore and looked at the girl. If she wanted to survive, she would need attention and fast. Gathering his energy, or what was left of it in himself, he transformed in his hybrid form, where his hands would be useful.

Panting, he looked up to the girl from his semi crouched position, he sincerely hoped she would just faint upon seing him and he would then be able to carry her to some large enough hole or to the school if he was lucky enough.

As the ice broke from underneath him, Solitude blinked. Like before, she wasn't sure whether she should help or not. Then again, how could she help? It wasn't like he was a person and she could grab his arm to help him up. She watched as the snow leopard struggled and took a few more slow steps backward. She had to get help for these wounds immediately, and she shouldn't have wasted this much time in the first place.

Upon seeing him in his hybrid form, Solitude blinked rapidly. The young woman fell backward from both shock and blood loss, though when she tried to get back up, she found her attempts useless. She stopped after a moment, and finally just laid down on the snow, breathing hard. She looked at Snow Paw out of the corner of her eye, still confused.

"How...." she said before her eyelids fluttered and she blacked out. The shock and the blood loss had just been far too much for her to handle.

Sighing, the hybrid grabbed the girl by the collar of her shirt, dragging the girl between his paws as he would a deer or a large prey. He tried to make the journey as quick as possible, without bumping his charge too much. He knew of a place not too far away that would be perfect. A small cozy little place that he knew of.

He soon happened upon what he had been searching for, a small cabin hidden under a rather large pine tree. The cabin was old, its roof was half covered by one of the tree's large branches, thus not permitting to snow, or rain for that matter, to fall on the protected part. The roof was slightly caved in in the middle while the walls were made of long wooden logs that supported the weakened ceiling.

There was a single door with a very small window in it. On the other side, directly in front of the wooden door sat a chimney and a fireplace. He dragged the unconscious girl over to the door and placed her on the ground in a gentle move. Opening the door, it gave access to the small dusty home. Hopefully, even if there was a small trail of blood behind them predators wouldn't follow.

He took the shirt back between his jaws and dragged the girl inside. Once he made sure she was totally inside, not even a toe left out, he closed the door with his paw-hands. Looking at the girl then at the large bed to his right, he sighed, he wouldn't be able to lift her without injuring her more in his form since he couldn't stand completely straight.

The grey haired hybrid turned back to a human, he had minimal clothing on since he couldn't transform with more than that. He shivered in wet clothes and resolved to light a fire once she was settled in. The air was cold inside the small cabin, but he couldn't do anything about it for now.

Looking around, he saw a dresser and a small ancient kitchen on the other side of the single room with a table and a chair in the middle. Next to the fire place sat a rocking chair and what was in it made him freeze for a moment. There was a sqeleton in the rocking chair, a squeleton covered in rags. He only froze for a moment before turning to the girl laying on the floor.

He bent, hissing in pain and pausing for a moment before picking the slender girl in his arms bridal style. He put her on the bed, the leaves it was made of creaking softly. The window above the bed lighted the young woman's face, and he could examine it for a while more. He resigned himself and turned back to his hybrid form, he was warmer that way, plus he had claws.

He used said claws to cut the front parts of both her shirt and pants, making sure to only cut the first two layers of cloths. He didn't wanted her naked, only to have access to her wounds. The young man pulled the layers of fabric off and didn't spare a glance to her skin, he had better things to do. Standing up, he placed the clothes on the back of the rocking chair after having displaced the squeleton, so they qould dry more easily.

He took a cloth used for drying the dishes that he found in one of the drawers and searched for a pan of some kind. he would need to boil any and all fabric he was going to use. To do so he needed snow, and lots of it as well as wood. Instead of the pan he had hoped for he found an even better piece of kitchen ware, a medium sized cauldron. Smiling, he took one of its handles in his jaw and strutted towards the door.

He pushed it open and was faced with a harsh sweep of wind bringing snow in his eyes. He tugged the door closed behind him and walked over to a clean bank of snow. He pushed snow in the cauldron until it overflowed. Shivering, he went back to the cabin, holding the cauldron full of snow. He would soon return with wood. He entered again and put the cauldron in the fireplace and let it sit while he returned outside.

He gathered as much wood as he could carry in his form and placed it inside, returning until he was satisfied that it would be enough for a couple of hours. By then he was shivering and the snowing and wind had picked up in intensity. He entered and walked over to the pile of wood and placed what he had in his arms in the pile already there. Then he walked over to his patient and checked the vital signs, making sure she was still alive.

Relief flooded through his form when he found that it was indeed the case. He walked over the fireplace and tugged the caulfron of already meltinmg snow out of it, placing wood in its stead. He knew he would have to do something about his own injuries, but for now it would have to wait a bit until the fire was started. Amazingly enough, he found a needle and matches in the squeleton's pockets.

A happy smile was brought on his face and he set to light a fire. He succeeded after a while since the wood had some ice on it. When the fire was started and would not die out soon, he placed the cauldron back on the fire, hanging it on a handy bar. He watched at the fire licked the metal cauldron. Breathing in a shaky breath, he took a blazing branch out from the fire and looked at it for a moment.

Then, without more hesitating, he pressed the fire on his chest's wound, moaning in pain and falling on all four, one arm holding his chest the other supporting his weigth. the small branch had slipped from his grip, and he lay there gasping in pain for a moment before he collected himself off the ground. He looked at the cauldron and found the water to now be boiling, putting the cloth in it, he waited a second or two before getting it out and squeezing the water out.

He walked over to his patient and checked her vitals once more before starting on clearing her wounds and her of the blood. He had to stop from time to time when a wave of pain from his chest would make him slightly dizzy, but he continued to methodically clean her chest and legs. Sighting softly, he turned to a proper human and looked for the worst wound.

He starte on his, using some of his hair that he had cleaned in the boiling water to insure smaller more discreet stitches, which in turn would leave fainter scars. He was working on her leg wher his claws had dug in and twisted, it would leave a rather nasty scar. He stitched it closed and started on some of the slashes on her chest, periodically checking her breathing pattern and heart rate.

A pained groan escaped the female as she was dragged along. She was still out, but probably not as out as possible. She couldn't tell that she was being dragged along by the leopard, which was a really, really good thing. She would have utterly freaked out if she had been awake during this. After all, how often does one get mauled by an angry feline and then get dragged away to safety by it? Strange, very strange indeed, but Solitude would deal with the fact that her potential murderer was also going to be her saviour.

Had she been awake, that trail of blood would have worried her to no end. She could just imagine a bunch of hungry animals coming and trying to get her again. She had had enough for one day; heck, she had had enough for a whole life time. Getting attacked by a snow leopard wasn't exactly pleasant, after all. If any more animals came, thinking that she was a meal, she wasn't sure what she would do. First of all, she may not be conscious when and if that happened, and second, her powers weren't the best for fighting. Melting metal could be fun, but bears, mountain lions, wolves, and whatever other carnivores roamed about here were flesh and blood, not metal. Third, she would be far too weak for fight.

Oh, now that was reassuring. She was going to have to depend on the thing that tried to kill her to save her. This was just peachy, splendid, marvelous! And this had all happened on her first day, too. Hopefully Misery's day had gone better... it was highly unlikely that the both of them got attacked. Then again, they were twins, and they had gone through the same experiences all through their lives. Oh, if her older sister got attacked like this... well, Solitude wasn't sure if it would be strange or hilarious.

Since when was violence and pain hilarious, again?

The girl groaned once more, her eyes fluttering open for just a second. Her vision was blurry, and there was a pain in her head like none other. It felt as if an axe had been driven into her skull, followed by a knife. She tried to move her hands up to rub her temples, but she was too weak to move. It was warm in the room, almost as if there was a fire. And, how coincidental, there was a fire, with which he was melting snow to clean her wounds. Solitude hadn't noticed that some of her clothing had been removed, but then again, how could she? Her vision was horrible at the moment to start with.

She tried to stay awake, but it was impossible; the pain was just far too bad. However, right before she went out again, she thought she could make out something or someone stabbing themselves with something. Of course, she didn't realize that this was Snow Paw trying to close the wound on his chest. She hadn't even had time to think over what had just happened before her gray eyes closed. It was unknown when her consciousness would return again, but it was almost certain that she would. Unless, of course, Snow Paw decided he wanted to leave her for dead. Then she might not wake up.

Again, it was a good thing she was out. Staying awake and watching him clean her wounds wouldn't have been one of her favorite experiences. The seventeen year old was used to pain, there was no doubt about it considering her past, but that didn't mean that she liked it. The less of this she felt, the better; it would only add to this strange, horrific occasion. Solitude didn't know where her worst wound was, nor did she want to know. All of them were pretty bad, in her opinion. The wounds on her face, chest, arms, and legs all hurt the same amount, and as long as the pain went away she was sure she would be fine. If it was one thing she hated, it was pain. She didn't want anything getting infected, either. Scars she could deal with, seeing as how she already had plenty of them, but infections and hurt... those were just out of the question.

Solitude's eyes peeped open again when she thought she felt something being pulled in and out of her skin. She looked around the room, narrowing her eyes as she tried to focus. God... I wish I had Miz's glasses... though I doubt they'd help any.... she thought to herself. Oh, even just a simple thought hurt her head! She bit her lip, fighting back a whimper, and looked back to her own body.

She couldn't make anything out still, though it was slightly clearer than before. Someone was leaning over her, and she could feel something in her skin. She had no idea what it was, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to find out. It didn't seem feel good, and she was sure that it wasn't good. For some reason, though, it felt as if this sort of thing had happened to her before. In her current state, however, she couldn't tell exactly what it was.

Her vision became just a tiny bit clearer, and she didn't recognize the person standing over her. How could she, though? Snow Paw was in his human form, and she hadn't seen it until now. She hadn't even thought that he had a human side, seeing as how he had been so absolutely vicious earlier. When an animal is that dangerous, how could one even try to think that they had the smallest bit of intelligence within them? Solitude had believed Snow Paw to be nothing more than a ferocious beast, and yet here he was, cleaning her wounds and sewing some of them shut with his hair.

An inquisitive eyebrow raised, but barely; she was too weak to even do a simple motion such as that. She wanted to know who he was and where they were, but a raise of her eyebrow would have to suffice for now, since she was in no position to use her voice just yet.

The hybrid had heard the small moans of pain his patient had made when he had been dragging her and starting to sticth her up afterwards. He couldn't care for that now or he'd probably loose concentration and make a mistake. He cointinued what he was doing, not pausing to look at her.

Even if she might not recognize her in his human form, he knew he had done that to her. He knew and was feeling guilty enough as it was. When the hair he had to sew her ended, he tied the end in a knot so it would not get out and looked up to the young woman's face.

He met her opened gaze and raised eyebrow, he could see the questions in her grey gaze and only looked back with his own silver gaze, so similar to his leopard form's gaze. He was sure she knew and would try and get away and worsen her wounds. He could not let her do that.

Without waiting for her top make an answer, he stood from the bed and walked over to the fire, plucking hairs from his grey mane as he walked. He put them in the water and returned to the bad. Taking up his needle again, he tied the silver hair on it.

"My name is Nathaniel." he said as he started to sticth where he had left it. "You are in a cabin not far from the lake, I am taking care of you until you can walk back to the school on your own."

His chest contricted painfully for a small moment, making his breath hitch and his sewing pause. Then, as if nothing had happened, he continued to stitch her wounds. Not bothering to stop with the pain in his chest, he tried to make as quick a job as possible of the sewing and stitching.

He didn't wanted her tosuffer more than she already had since it was his fault, now he was reponsible for her. Taking a clean cloth from where it hung on the bed headboard, he cleaned some of the blood that had gathered on her stomach as he worked. He would have to make sure she stayed hydrated.

"I am sorry for what happened." he said quietly before returning to his work.

Once he finished on the stitching, the man walked over to the cauldron sitting in the fire and got a cup in it, the cup now filled with hot water, he would leave it to cool down a bit before offering some to the weak female on the bed. He walked over to the bed and looked around for blankets and found one.

Putting the cup on the floor next to the bed, Snowpaw pulled the blankets from the bed, dusting them so they would be cleaner to use. He took a few cleaned dish towels and put it over her wounds so the blanket would not be directly on her wounds. He then put the blanket over her, not wanting for her to catch a cold.

He wasn't wearing much and he wondered if she would notice. He took the cup and placed his finger in it to test the temperature. It was slightly warm but would do finer work if it was not cold. Gently, he placed his hand under her neck and pulled her more upright soi she could drink from the cup. He had cleaned it as well so she couldn't catch any virus hiding in it.

He tilted the cup at a small angle and let some water fall down to her mouth, easing the cup away from her mouth when there was the equivalent of a mouthful in her mouth. He didn't want her to choke on the water he had given her, it would defeat the purpose of bringing her there and patching her up.

"Try not to swallow too quickly, it would result in bad consequences." He warned, putting the cup in his lap and waited a bit.

Seeing those eyes made Solitude blink. She could barely see their color, but they looked like those of the snow leopard's. Oh, this was just grand. Now she was hallucinating, wasn't she? She closed her eyes tightly for a few moments and reopened them, only to see the same colored iris's. This puzzled her quite a bit, but she left it as it was, not feeling the need to ask anything. Plus, she was saving her voice for when it would be completely necessary.

"My name is Nathaniel."

She watched as he left the bedside, but didn't move her head to see anything else. She hadn't seen him pluck the hairs and put them in the cauldron, which was most likely a good thing. The young woman wouldn't exactly have been pleased to know that he was stitching up her wounds with his hair. Even if the hot water would decontaminate them and they would leave smaller scars, it was still slightly disgusting.

As he said his name, the girl took in a slow breath so as not to hurt herself. She wanted to introduce herself as well, deciding being rude to her saviour wouldn't exactly be wise. "Sol," she managed to get out after a few tries. Her voice was weak and the sound of it shocked her. Both his voice and her own had made her head pulsate slightly with pain, but she would just have to deal with it. She didn't want to take pain killers for it, or for any of her other wounds, for that matter. Actually, she didn't even know if there would be pain killers in this home, since it looked slightly old. She couldn't be entirely sure, though.

"You are in a cabin not far from the lake, I am taking care of you until you can walk back to the school on your own."

Well, if he could bring her this far, why couldn't he have brought her to the school? That would have been far better than being in an abandoned old cabin. At least Misery could stay with her and she would be with trained, professional nurses. But, no, he had to bring her out here where there was no one to save her if she needed to be rescued. Oh, well, she couldn't walk on her own yet, like he had said, so she would have to deal with it. Even with that in mind, she rolled her eyes weakly, obviously displeased by being here in the first place. It wasn't her fault, after all, that a leopard had decided he wanted to hurt her, now was it?

As the needle and hair was pulled through her again the seventeen year old cringed, but did her best to remain still. It felt horrible and made her knees weak. Not like her knees had been strong in the first place, though. She could have vomited because of it, but she didn't have the strength to actually do that; plus, nothing was on her stomach. Besides, she needed to remain still so he could actually finish what he was doing.

"I am sorry for what happened."

"Not.... your.... fault..." she said, again her voice pained and weak. She stifled a few coughs, and sighed inwardly. Oh, how wrong she had been. Well, at least he felt guilty for his actions. If he didn't, then that would just be plain heartless.

As the dish towels covered her wounds, Solitude whimpered softly. Ow, ow, ow OWW!! she thought to herself, calming down after a moment when the pain lessened. The blankets were then placed on her, and she smiled softly, feeling even warmer now. At least this guy was actually taking care of her, and didn't seem to have any malicious intent. The young woman hadn't noticed that he wasn't wearing much clothing, since she could barely see anything. However, had her vision been better, she probably would have completely freaked out.

She saw the cup of water, just able to make out its shape. He put her hand on her neck to help her, and she allowed him to do so. After losing that much blood, it would probably be a good idea to get some liquids in her. As he warned her not to swallow to quickly, she nodded slightly and swallowed the water slowly and carefully. It was kind of warm, and she would have preferred it colder, but oh, well. That couldn't be helped, and warm water was better than none, after all.

She sat there, looking at him, bored, confused, and frustrated. She had nothing to do, still didn't entirely know where she was, and couldn't even speak or see. Her thoughts went to her sister for a while, wondering how Misery would react upon noticing that she wasn't in their dorm room. Please don't over react and go nuts... she pleaded as if she could actually hear her. She knew that, with Misery being older, it would be nearly impossible for her not to worry, so whatever happened would have to happen.

The small sound would have escaped his notice hadn't it been for his slightly better than human hearing. He softly put an index on her lips, shushing the girl up in a gentle manner.

''Do not speak, you do not have enough breath to waste on such an activity.'' He said quickly removing his finger.

Seing as she seemed to be in pain,he leaned over her, breath hitching only for a small unoticeable second. The hybrid put his hand on her forehead, cool nearly cold hands, and it served to check if she had a fever at the same time. Sighing in relief, he started to gently rub his fingers on her temples, trying to ease the tension he could feel there.

''You are here since I cannot afford for you to be out in the temperature this place now endures.'' He said vaguely pointing to the window.

The howling of the wind could be heard outside, the snow not permitting to see more than three meters in front of one's body. He hadn't mentionned it, but he would not have been able to drag her to the school in the state he was in. He already knew he was in for a long night and a longs days for what was to come would be hard on him as much as it would be on her.

He had caught some of her thoughts, mostly the questions that were directed to him in a way. He glided his fingers over her forehead, trying to ease the pain in the young woman's temples. He was leaning over her, one leg on each side of the slender form. He never thought anything of it since he had to save her life before everything else.

''There is a snow storm raging outside and it would kill both of us before we could reach the safety of the school.'' He continued.

It was a pity that he didn't have anything to ease her pain in any way or he would have done so a long time ago. He snuggled the blanket around her more tightly, not having something to do anymore getting on his nerves. Sitting down next to her, he continued to offer some relief the way he could.

''You should not talk.'' He scolded softly. ''Plus, it was entirely my fault, I should have controlled myself better, after all these years I should have known better than to let rage cloud my sight.''

His silver eyes lowered at that statement, sadness and guilt rolling off of him in waves. He closed his eyes and reigned in his feelings before getting off the bed.

''I need to go gather some food, if you feel worse than you do now, just think loudly and I will come.'' He told her.

He opened the door in his human form, transforming in a leopard once he set foot in the snow. To make sure nothing bad would fall on his patient while he was not there to defend her, he rubbed his scent on the exterior walls of the cabin, not many creatures would dare defy a leopard.

Walking away from the rustic house, he put his nose in the snow to try and locate some prey he could bring back for both of them. he caught the faint scent of a rabbit, and he followed it to a dead white rabbit. It obviously had been caught by the snow storm, not believing his luck, he took the frozen body between his teeth and started to walk back to camp.

He was wheezing and gasping for breath by the time he was half way to the cabin, not really knowing what was wrong with him and refusing to acknowledge any discomfort.

(I left an opening if you decide you want her to get worse.)

When he put a finger to her lips, Solitude sighed inwardly. So she wasn't allowed to speak now? Well, news flash for him, she knew she shouldn't be talking right now. She nodded weakly though, deciding she would talk when only it was necessary. Trying to annoy him by going against his wishes would only cause more harm to herself in the end.

As his hand went to her forehead, an eyebrow raised slightly again. And hat had been done because....? Not like it mattered too much. It was probably some medical thing. She didn't know too much, if anything at all, about medical treatments, so she would just have to let him do whatever he was going to do to help her.

Her eyes turned slightly to look out the window. There was quite a snow storm going on outside. He didn't even need to tell her that they wouldn't have made it back to school with how soon this change in the weather had seemed to occur. When he did, though, she just nodded again. It seemed like a good explanation, so she would believe it. If she wasn't in pain, though, she was sure she would have made it back in one piece.

She was relieved when he started rubbing her temples, since she couldn't do so herself. She hated being in this weak position, and hated the fact that someone else had to actually take care of her. "Thanks," she said. It hadn't been needed, but she felt like being polite. Besides, a part of her wanted to annoy him slightly. Just slightly, though, not to the point where he got ticked off and decided to leave her for dead.

''Plus, it was entirely my fault, I should have controlled myself better, after all these years I should have known better than to let rage cloud my sight.''

The young woman's gray eyes widened completely. He... he as that snow leopard? She stared at him before trying to move, not entirely comfortable here anymore. She hadn't realized that, and now her total opinion of the one that had saved her shifted. He had tried to kill her when she hadn't done anything... and now he was helping her... she couldn't decide whether or not that was hypocritical or taking responsibility for his actions, so she didn't form a new opinion of him just yet.

She just blinked after her eyes returned to their normal size. She couldn't believe that the one who was helping her now had done this to her in the first place. As he said he needed to get food and turned into a leopard, Solitude just closed her eyes. She didn't care to see it.

Well, now that he was gone, what was she supposed to do? She opened her eyes again slowly once the door closed and looked around the cabin, her vision becoming more clear. She wanted to sit up, but it would be far to difficult, so she didn't even attempt it.

She closed her eyes again, sighing, choosing to just lay there. Getting some rest would be good, and she would stop when he came back. She didn't expect it to be too soon, so getting sleep would be better than just laying there awake. At least I'm not feeling any worse... she thought, trying to remain positive.

Misery wasn't going to be happy when she saw that her sister wasn't there, Solitude knew it. But, at least the older female wasn't going to find her easily. With how protective her sister was, she would probably end up hurting Nathaniel.

As he was walking back to the cabin, His pace slowing with each step the leopard took. The howling wind had only worsened, for a moment, he was forced to hide under a tree to avoid being completely covered in snow. The feline hybrid shuddered when a particularly vicious gust of wind caught his side.

He stopped, one paw raised above the snow, a small wave of pain went through him. Taking a deep breath, he was surprised though when it came out as a cough. The fit of coughing racked through him, making his spine tingle and his body shake. Shrugging off the pain, Snowpaw continued on his way, dragging the rabbit's body with him.

He soon saw the pale warm glow of the cabin in the distance, it was nestled in between two large backs of snow, he probably would have to dig in the snow to enter. It would probably sound ominous like another predator trying to come in but it was the only way he would be able to return inside. With a soft sigh, the leopard went on to work on freing the door.

He dug in the snow, pushing it away from the door, his claws sometimes scrapping against the wood of the door. It was not intentional, but he wasn't fancying dragging one ton of snow inside the cottage. So he continued to shovel the snow away, hoping to soon encounter the earth beneath their feet. And he did, mouth still full of the rabbit's fur.

Once his feet were on solid ground, he transformed in his hybrid form and pushed the door open. Shuddering in the cold, he welcomed the heat of the small home and closed the door quickly behind him. He dropped the rabbit in his outstretched palm and sat at the table, tail swishing behind him in concern. He placed the rabbit on the table.

Waiting to be slightly less cold, he went to check on the younger woman, changing into a human as he went. His cold fingers checked her neck for her heatbeat and he was relieved to find her heart still breathing. Observing the rise and fall of her chest, he was satisfied to find she had not trouble breathing. He nodded to himself before returning to the table.

He took the rabbit and went to the small kitchen, placing the rabbit on the counter, preparing to gut it and do something to eat with it. Purring a soft song under his breath, he trailed a sharp claw from the rabbit's neck to its tail. openeing their soon to be meal. He emptied the small creature of its guts and placed said guts into a small cloth he had found, leaving only a liver.

He would keep it for her too eat to replenish her reserves or iron. He quickly skinned the rabbit before placing it into a smaller pan that he found and cleaned beforehand. He went and opened the door, taking a harmfull of snow and putting it in the pan, closing the door with a push of his hip.

He walked over to the fire and placed the pan with the rabbit in it over the fire next to the cauldron of boiling water. He had placed the liver in there as well, it would provide good soup and meat even if it wouldn't taste that good without any spices. From the corner of his eye, he checked on Solitude, unwilling to let her die on his hands.

He would feel way too guilty if it happened, aftyer all, it was his fault she was in that situation in the first place.
