((OoC: WARNING: There will be violence and blood and all that nice stuff in this topic. XD Blame Elizabeth the Monster and THE THING... hehe. :violence: ))

————————-

The young woman looked at the lake, smirking. Her blonde hair blew backward a bit in the freezing breeze, however short it was, but she didn't mind it. She wasn't wearing what one would normally consider warm for these frigid temperatures; sweat pants and a sweat shirt. Her sword hung at her sword like it always did, and she smirked as she jumped onto the icy top of the lake.

Solitude laughed. The ice hadn't cracked beneath her. Oh, she loved taking risks and doing these sorts of dangerous things. She jumped on it, but it was thick enough to hold her weight. That was good.

The young woman twirled around for a moment on the ice, then just looked down, bored. Her fun had lasted for a short, sweet moment, but it hadn't shown on her face; she never allowed her emotions to show. She lifted her eyes and looked around, wondering if anyone else would come along.

A white and black silhouette came into view, silver eyes glinting in the day's light. It had been a bad day, He had been hunted down by hunters and had only escaped by pure luck. He had a gassh just above his right eyebrow, coating that part of his face in blood.

All his instincts were screaming at him to get revenge on the hunter, a blond haired man had dared to try and shoot him for his pelt, which was a handome pale white silver spotted in black. He spotted a form in the distance, a spot of blond hair, and pale skin...

The shape-shifter saw red and he stalked towards the oblivious person, staying constantly out of sight until the appropriate time for him to pounce and kill the idiotic moron who had tried to off him. He approached from behind and Jumped at the other's back.

Solitude had remained unaware of the approaching danger until it was almost too late. She thought she had heard something coming a few moments before he struck, although, she hadn't spotted anything. However, when he jumped on her, she immediately screamed and fell backwards onto the ice. Her back hurt as that happened, but she ignored the pain and looked at the animal that was on top of her. The young woman believed she heard something crack, though whether it was a bone or the ice she didn't know and didn't care to find out.

"Idiotic feline!" she hissed, managing to unsheathe her sword. She was going to need it. "I'M NOT FOOD! GET OFF OF ME!" Oh, yes, like screaming at the beast would work. Again, she managed to move her arms upward so that the blade would keep the leopard's mouth away from her throat.

She started writhing around beneath it, trying to get free. She didn't feel like drowning, freezing to death, or bleeding to death, so why stay in that position?

Idiotic feline??? who are you calling idiotic? He thought while a snarl reached through his bared teeth desperately wanting to sink into the rosy flesh under him. He Lunged for her neck, not seing the drawn blade in time.

He tried to sink his claws in her flesh as she squirmed, deadly sharp curved dagger like claws. He growled when his teeth met metal, and he took a swipe towards her face with his paw, aiming to cut her face's skin deep enough to scar.

he hadn't seen the human was female and that it indeed wasn't the hunter, the revenge was occluding his mind, he was only seing what he wanted to see. The screaming had made him even more furious, well, he was being ticked off.

He tried to claw and bite the young woman again.

As he lunged for her neck, Solitude rose the blade a little bit. Oh, her first day here and she was already in some sort of trouble! Where was her sister when she needed her?! At least if Misery was there she could shock the big cat and get it off of her! But, of course, her sibling had to go to the city. The young woman growled, knowing she would, and could, take care of this on her own.

His claws ripped through some of her clothing and dug into her skin, and her eye twitched slightly from the pain. However, it was only slightly, and she didn't allow much of it to show. His paw collided with her cheek and the undamaged side of her face hit the ice. Pain soared all through her head and the cold went through her body. Blood poured from her wounds and onto the ice, staining it a dark crimson color. Her clothes were also the same dark color, as well as most of the skin on her face.

Biting her lip, she brought up her left knee as forcefully as she could, trying to kick the feline in the stomach and get it off of her. If she could at least get it off of her, she might have a chance of getting out of the are and surviving.

Solitude continued to struggle and move around, even though his claws kept digging into her and causing the red liquid to splatter everywhere. As he tried to bite her, she just barely got out of the way, seeing as how there wasn't much room for her to move at all at the moment.

"Stupid cat... I didn't even flippin' do anything to you..." she said. The thing had to either have some sort of disease or must have been starving to want to attack her; at least, that was what she had figured.

The leopard shape-shifter yowled as the girl's knee connected with his stomach, making him dizzy for a second or two befor ehe regained his bearings. He saw the blood and the enticing smell rose to his nose. His eyes narrowed as he gazed at the squirming teenager. The leopard lunged for her shoulder, trying to latch his jaws on it.

All the while, the feline took visious pleasure in digging his claws farther into her flesh. He even went as far as to twis one of his back leg that was situated on her leg. A large feline 'evil' grin graced his maw, still not seing that it was not what he thought it was. Rage had built up in his chest, anger washing through his veins.

He was dislodged when a powerful struggle caught him in the chest, knocking the breath out of him. He staggered back a few steps, the sound of cracking ice echoing when he fell back, trying to get as much air as possible back to his lungs. The snow feline simply growled and circled the blond haired woman.

As soon as the cat yowled, a slight smirk came to Solitude's lips. Well, good, the snow leopard deserved it! He was attacking her for absolutely no reason, after all. Sure, it was just an animal and probably didn't understand, but she really didn't care. She wanted this animal to get away from her as soon as possible.

He had lunged at her shoulder by now, and although the girl couldn't get out of the way of it, she could definitely block it. She moved her sword over slightly and stopped his mouth from making contact with her shoulder. The sight of his large, pointed teeth almost made her tremble in fear, but she didn't. She had to keep her mind off of the fear and on this fight.

The young woman was getting the feeling that this animal was actually enjoying the pain it was causing her, and she did the best she could not to show any sign of pain. However, that would be hard to do, seeing as how those claws of his that were as sharp as knifes were cutting into her skin easily. She yelped when a claw on his back leg dug into her leg, and immediately wished she hadn't done that.

Once he had gotten off of her, Solitude didn't hesitate to get to her feet. She almost stumbled over, though, getting dizzy. She brought her left hand, the one that wasn't holding her sword, up to her forehead and rubbed it, trying to get what blood was left circulating.

Upon hearing the ice crack, her gray eyes went to where she had heard it, and she gulped. That definitely wasn't good. She then turned her attention back to Snow Paw, breathing rather heavily. There was blood all over the ice and snow, as well as all over her body. At one spot in her arm, she had been cut deep enough for bone to be showing slightly. She was losing a lot from her wounds, and she was feeling weak, but she had to get out of this alive, even if it meant fighting until she lost consciousness.

She turned in a slow circle as he did, never moving her eyes away from him. She swallowed, doing her best to keep her breathing steady and to keep herself standing up. It was obvious that she was having difficulty with standing and having her eyes stay open, but even so, she had to watch the feline's next move and make sure that it didn't get her off guard.

THe white and silver feline took a step or two back, Not noticing when he stepped on one of the ice's cracks. He was about to pounce on the blond human when in a sudden movement, his hindleg went through the ice. The leopard slammed hard on the ice, half of his body falling in the icy cold water. A small hiss of pain echoed from the feline as a shard of ice pierced his chest.

His claws dug in the ice in from of him, a slightly dazed expression on the leopard's face. The animal part of his mind had been shocked into submission by the cold water, leaving the human part into control once more. The Nathaniel in the young man/cat didn't know where he was, neither did he knew why there was an human girl standing there covered in blood.

He looked around suspisciously and looked at the blood that covered the ice they stood on. He saw there were traces of battle and that several were bloody pawprints, the latest set leading to him. Incredulously looking down to his paws, he saw the teltale sign of battle on them, blood matting his fur into uncontrollable knots.

A shiver of cold went through him as the glacial water made itself known. Undre the water, the silver eyed leopard tried to push himself out by clawing at the ice. He might have been a snow leopard it didn't mean that the water was any hotter to him. Slowly pushing himself out of the water, the feline didn't trust the creaks and cracks the ice was making. He only had a very vague recollection of what had happened, but he took one look at the girl and decided not to leave her there in the cold.

He advanced towards the young woman, head bent low and acting as untreatening as possible. it was good she was placed between him and the shore, he would be able to push her back to solid ground. Another shiver swept through his spine and he simply didmissed it. He tried to convey the need to get out of there and soon. His eyes showed something else than pure animalistic rage which made them seem as if it was a completely different person in the leopard.

Solitude watched as he took a step back, and once half of him fell into the water, she smirked. Oh, how easily the tables could turn! The young woman made no move to help the animal in his struggle to get back up; why should she? It had tried to kill her, and falling into the freezing water served the beast right. Hopefully it would learn its lesson from this.

There was a dazed look on its face, and she guessed that it was from the water. She hadn't seen the ice go into his chest, after all, even though she had heard the hiss. She thought it was just from the frigid liquid, though, not for another reason.

For a moment, she thought the feline looked confused as to what had happened. Had the cold woken it up from some sort of frenzy? It was possible, though she doubted it. It was probably just trying to figure out a way to get out of the water, she wouldn't give it the credit of actually having some sort of intelligence. Of course, she didn't know what had really happened — how could she?

She could feel her legs shaking from the loss of blood, and knew that she should probably get out of there now. She wanted to see if the leopard would die, but she supposed getting her wounds treated was more important. Just as she took a step away, the cat was out of the water and walking toward her again.

"You won't give up, will you..." she growled softly, more to herself than to him. She stared at him, taking a few more steps backward as he advanced. The blonde haired female noticed that he didn't seem as vicious as before, but that didn't mean he couldn't just be acting calm. However, upon seeing the different look in his eyes, an eyebrow raised slightly, wondering if this was, in fact, the same leopard from before.

That's it, continue to retreat to the shore. He thought to himself looking at her intently. It must have been a rather thraumatising experience for the girl and he was trying to now push her away from the traitorous ice.

Snowpaw wasn't aware of what had transpired, but he knew he probably had been injuring her on some sort of purpose he was not privy to. Not bothering to pay attention to the discreet shivers running down his back, he walked purposily towards her, the ice creaking ominously under his weigth.

His intelligent silver eyes were intently following her every move, looking every bit the predator he indeed was. The leopard/human young male didn't care that blood was slowly flowing down his front paw from where the ice had cut him in the chest, not was he caring for the fact that the girl would probably try and kill him once she was on the ground.

He was more preoccupied at getting the girl to security as well as himself. He didn't particularly want to be in anymore freezing water anytime soon.
