Upon being called a kid once again, Carmin turned back to face Kal, annoyed and ready to correct him. But before he got the chance, he was hit by the words muttered afterwards. It caused a lot of questions to fly through his head all at once and kind of threw him off his game.
"I- That's..." He couldn't seem to find his words. "Whatever..." He let it go, though his hands balled up into small useless fists told a bit of a different story. If he was completely honest, that one sentence hurt. It hurt a lot. And yet somehow he almost felt guilty himself. Like he'd done something wrong, which he surely had not.
For now he just wanted to get home, hopefully with the dumb flower intact. So he headed off, hoping to go find something to take his mind off of everything.
