Today's call out to the wharf was the third warehouse fire in almost as many weeks. Ivana was sure that it was kids practicing fire magic, but could not prove it. Or not until they had footage of the events, and so far none of the semi-abandoned buildings had security footage. And thus, her fire reports contained only the basic detail and it frustrated the heck out of her.
Pulling into the lot with her men and the fire truck blaring its sirens, Ivana flinched and raised her arm instinctively as the roof suddenly exploded off the building, rocking the ground around it as it blew debris into the air. The firey blast could be felt a good hundred meters away.
"Holy freakin' mother of dragons," she swore loudly as she quickly jumped down off the trunk and ran towards the building already geared up and ready to go.
Ivana hoped to hell that it had not been kids fooling around, a blast like that, well, it could only be something bad. Really bad. It felt like a gas explosion and those were often terrible things to put out. Especially if there was a source feeding it somewhere.
