Sark really had the dramatic act down. But Shul wasn't bored listening to him, he doubted he would've been even if Sark dropped the act. But Shul got the need for the joking, and he liked it. So he played along.
Shul put his hand on Sark's shoulder and shook his head with a look of anguish.
"Don't force yourself, friend. I can see the boring is taking it's toll on you. You look pale."
It was funny because Sark didn't have a face. Get it?
"But please try to go on, for my sake. I'm finding this really interesting."
And on Sark did go, explaining his schematics more in detail. His voice bended more on the explaining tone Shul used when he was substituting in the elementary school. But Shul wasn't nowhere near done. His curiosity needed quenching.
"So you can feel this?"
Shul put his hand on Sark's shoulder. Shul's hand was actually pretty cold since he had been stupid and forgotten his gloves. So he didn't keep it on Sark's shoulder for long but wrapped it around the flask after a minute.
"You explained something about yourself to me. Do you want to know something about me? The floor is open."

Sark tensed ever so slightly as Shul placed his hand on his shoulder. Just an old reflex from his mercenary days... He nodded with a brief laugh. “Yes. Your hand is kind of cold.” He looked at Shul with a slight tilt in his head. “No wonder you like holding the hot chocolate like that.” He teased a little bit as he patted Shul on the shoulder.

He then held his helmet again like he was holding his chin, looking like in thought. He lightly hummed as he tried to think of a question. “Hmm, your question whether I have any questions is a tough question indeed my friend.” He laughed a little bit. He found that funny, much to his own ego.

His arms dropped to his sides as he laughed a bit more. “But seriously, I’m curious why did you want to become a teacher? Like, how do you bear it? Normal human children can be little gremlins, how in the gods’ names do you handle supernatural children?!” His voice had grown more confused and somewhat frustrated as he spoke. He has accompanying hand gestures that began calmly but ended with exaggerated gestures.

Sark tensing under Shul's hand did nothing to make his confusion and worry disappear. But if Shul and Sark became closer Shul would have time to talk to Sark. After all, Shul was a worrywart. But for now he decided to avoid unnecessary touching and once again laughed at himself, glancing at his hands.
"It's not that I forgot my gloves or anything. I just have burning passion towards hot chocolate."

"Wow, really smart of you Sark. You and your wicked word games."
Shul said with a monotone voice and laughed afterwards.
"But if it's seriously too tough to figure out a question don't bust your circuits for nothing."

When Sark asked his question it was Shul's turn to lift his hand to his chin and slightly hum. It was a reasonable question, a question that required some explanation.
"If I start explaining it will be a long and personal story. Are you sure you want to hear? I'm not sure my storytelling skills are exactly your level."
Shul smiled at Sark. It was not like he tried to hide his backstory or where he was from. Shul just rarely needed to bring it up.

Sark snickered. "A burning passion, eh? Get it, cause hot chocolate can burn?" He quietly cackled at his own wit. He then laughed regularly for a little while before he calmed down. "I guess being cold makes the wonder that is hot chocolate so much better. I do quite like how it smells, admittedly." That was the only bonus of food for Sark. He couldn't eat or drink, so he couldn't taste. But he could smell, so foods with a good smell are quite liked by Sark while foods with a bad smell are disliked. Simple robot.

He shrugged with a tilt of his head like he had a easy smile. "Hey, I try. My word games are great." He seemed to puff his chest out and his tone had a hint of pride to it. He was obviously joking from the jokey tone beneath all of that.

He gasped, placing a hand on his chest. "Of course I want to hear! Long and personal stories are one the best perks of friendship!" He had this mixture of intrigue, vague offence, and amusement to his voice as he spoke. "Oh, I guess the company is good too." He put a slight disgruntled tone to his voice but he spoke lightly to make it obvious he really didn't mean it.

Hiatus
Shul had made yet another bad joke and hadn't even realized it. When Sark pointed it out Shul laughed as well and drank from the flask.
"Sark, you comedic genius. I didn't even realize that chance for a pun. I should really be ashamed of myself."
Shul reached out the flask towards Sark and smiled, raising his eyebrows in question.
"Do you want to smell it before I drink everything?"

Shul observed Sark, smiling a bit before chuckling and looking out to the sea.
"Don't regret it later. It really is a boring story."
Shul started talking, looking forward and he had a nonchalant smile on his face.
"Once upon a time there was a really tall mountain. And on that mountain there was a dragon village. All the dragons were strong and proud and obsessed with power, except one. There was one small dragon that just wanted to play and laugh and see the world. But then one day the little dragon became really big and strong too. But he didn't want to be big and strong. He just wanted to play with the small dragons of the village, and teach them about good and beautiful things. Because their hearts were still pure."
At this point Shul chuckled a bit, it really sounded really stupid. But he kept going with this narrative, it was catchy.
"The now big dragon was bullied by his sisters and brothers and eventually he was pushed to an ultimatum with his oldest sister. That ultimatum lead to the big dragon being chased out of the mountain. He was a bit sad, but he was more happy. Because now he was free. The end."
Shul turned to grin at Sark. His cheeks were getting red from the cold.
"Told you it would be too long. But yeah, the reason I want to teach kids is because, how would I explain it?"
Shul stopped walking for a sec to think, and hummed a bit like earlier.
"Because they are still so new, and I want to give them a good start. A better one than what I had."

Sark laughed as he shook his head, hands raised to around chest level in a defensive manner. “No, please drink it.” He laughed again. He did enjoy the smell, but he liked that Shul was enjoying it even more.

Then Sark listened in silence. It was a respectful silence, as he didn’t want to interrupt Shul while was speaking. “That... seems like a pretty good reason to become a teacher.” He sounded honest. He then remained in silence for a little bit. He looked to the ground for a moment before he looked back at Shul. “I could beat them up if you want.” He did a thumbs up, a mischievous tone to his voice.

Shul shrugged and took a looooong sip from the flask. And after he exhaled loudly and grinned.
"More for me then. If I get addicted to hot chocolate I'm keeping you responsible."

When Sark offered to beat Shul's siblings up he burst out laughing, even holding his stomach. After a minute he calmed down and smiled at Sark gratefully.
"That is so sweet of you. But can even you beat up a six-story building? Besides..."
Shul smirked, and there was a little of the dragon he was deep inside in it. For a short second Shul almost looked dangerous.
"I already beat up the strongest of them."

Sark laughed, tilting his head upwards like a grin. “I guess I’ll have to perfect my making skills then.” He did a small thumbs up. He actually wanted to go back to his apartment and perfect his hot chocolate making skills so he could make one Shul would like even better. He enjoyed seeing Shul happy... it reminded him of his old friends.

Sark looked at Shul and Shul would probably get the indication that Sark is looking right into Shul’s soul. “I have fought a giant dragon that eats cities for breakfast.” He leaned his face close to Shul. “And won.” His voice had got really quiet and somewhat intense. He stared into Shul’s soul for another few seconds before he laughs. “All seriousness, my world had dragons. They’re fundamentally different to the ones here but they were strong.” He spoke casually with a shrug as he walked.

He pointed to his right shoulder. There’s a discolour line across his shoulder. “See that line? I had to reattach my arm after a dragon tore it off.” He still spoke casually, as if this was just business as usual.

Shul chuckled and lightly bumped his shoulder against Sark. He sounded so smug and it amused Shul
"If you perfect your skills then your hot chocolate will be so good it's lethal. Think of the innocent people who'll lose their lives."
Shul lifted his hand to his heart and looked pained.
"But if you must then I shall sacrifice myself."
Shul looked serious for a second and then laughed, drinking some more cocoa. It was starting to run out

As Sark leaned closer Shul felt a familiar feeling of pressure. His father had had similar feeling to him, the feeling of power. But Shul didn't get intimidated, rather he stood a bit straighter and looked at Sark with a calm smile on his face. There was kind of serenity in Shul's eyes, he let Sark see his soul.
"I knew you were a warrior, a strong one. Your body speaks for itself."
Shul glanced at all the small scars on Sark's body, and smiled a little sorrowfully.
"All seriousness, I'm a lover, not a fighter. I was pushed to fight my sister because she tried to kill me first. But I respect strong people. I respect you."

When Sark pointed out the larger scar on his shoulder Shul was already lifting his arm to touch it but stopped himself. He didn't want to make Sark uncomfortable.
"I know you said dragons were different in your world, but still, somehow, sorry. That my kind did that."
Shul sounded sorry, and a bit regretful, but soon he chuckled and looked at the sky.
"If you decide not to beat her up I think you and my oldest sister might actually get along. Or at least have good sparring sessions. She's strong in human form as well."

Sark rubbed his hands together while slightly lowering his head like an evil grin. “Excellent, I will release the hot chocolate to the world.” He started to cackle before doing a hacking cough. He didn’t need to cough, just did it for comedic purposes.

He listened to Shul speak again and nodded along. He saw Shul reach his hand to touch the scar across his shoulder. He tilted his head and neck in a way so it’d be more visible. “You can touch it, if you want. I don’t really care.” He really did sound like he didn’t care while he shrugged. He remained silent for a while. “I know what it feels like to be forced to do things you don’t want to do.” He sounded a bit sad as he looked towards the ground. Being born for the sole purpose of doing his creators’ orders, becoming a mercenary and fighting and killing people just to get what he considered stronger, the prophecy...
