Erik was sitting on the edge of the tower, his feet dangling as he smoked his cigarette. He was pretty sure it was a stupid thing to be doing but he couldn't help but want to dangle off the edge. He was by no means, an adrenaline junky, nor did he like heights. It just felt kind of right to be half dangling off a building while inhaling toxic chemicals. He was still half asleep as he had tumbled out of bed the same time he usually did. Most of the time, he didn't even bother to get up on the weekends. Summer time was something of a lazy time for him, he didn't have to worry about going to classes.

He turned his cup off coffee around before he drank it, something of an annoying habit he had picked up. He wasn't even sure that he was actually awake, he usually started to function like a normal person around the fourth cup of coffee. Of course since there was only one, the only thing that was stopping him from falling back asleep was the dangling from the building.

Cheska had found herself on top of the building - the breeze felt so kind in her hair, against her skin. It was colder up here... She tsked softly as she moved, feet carrying her toward the ledge. She was not going to let herself fall, but she sure as hell would get close enough to cause a stir down below.

It was what she liked to do, after all.

As she stepped up on the edge, bare feet well over the edge, toes curling into the rocky ground beneath them. She tilted her face toward the rising sun, and grinned to herself, waiting for the commotion.

She had not even bothered to see if there was someone else up there with her.

Erik noticed when someone sat down beside him. After all without coffee he had nothing else to do but look around and notice things. Like he seriously needed more because his normal randomly changing thoughts weren't distracting him from the fact that there were people around him. Which wasn't a bad thing because the girl was hot. Not to mention he knew the girl from having a few classes with her.

"Why are you up so early Ches?" He asked taking a deep drag from his cigarette and making smoke rings. It took a real stoner to be able to do that in his opinion and that's exactly what he was. When he wanted to ignore the world or the texts he kept getting from his dorm mate's cell phone even though he was trying, he lit up like the fourth of july.

Cheska hardly gave the boy a glance, as she swayed on the ledge. "What's it look like, Erik?" She scowled, tossing her hair over her shoulder. She took a precarious step, one foot dangling from the roof, and soon she 'lost' her balance, landing smack on her ass on the ledge, almost falling overboard.

Hysterical laughter left her lips. Oh, gods, she was probably insane. Or she just enjoyed scaring the hell out of everyone now and again - or always and forever, as it were. She scooched to stare at the male, quirking an eyebrow.

"Weeell, actually, I'm gettin' some sun so I don't wither away." If one looked closely they would see that her skin was grey and cracking - like a drying leaf from a tree. One could assume the light that simulated sunlight had gone out and left her to sleep in darkness, which had started this process. "You?"

"It looks like you're trying to dive off the building toots" Erik said rolling his eyes but not doing anything else. He knew that feeding into it would make it so much harder to go through his morning routine. He did know how Ches operated and that was fine with him. He was just simply not awake enough to realized that he should be dragging her to his bed.

"Ah, well what does it look like? I'm out here for a smoke and trying to wake up. I don't normally get out bed during the summer." He said shrugging his shoulders, he was normally charming and inviting towards the girl, but he normally had his fix of coffee. She probably caught on to that, the number of times they had woken up in each other's bed. It wasn't as if it wasn't a secret that he had a caffeine addiction.

Cheska's eyes lit up at his words, and she purred quietly, "Why wake up, sexy?" She'd grin slightly. Honestly, Cheska was dressed in a simple nightgown slip that stopped at her knees, so it was fair to say that she had not thought out what she was actually doing.

After a moment, she mused, "Why don't you take me back to bed?" She angled her shoulders, stretching as she toppled forward just a bit. She was fearless, though. "Well, somebody's not had their coffee..." She snorted, leaning to shove at the male's shoulder.

"Or their breakfast," she mused. She was hungry.

"Because you have to be awake to pay attention?" Erik said smirking as he took in what she was wearing. Of course she was dressed scantily. It was like her thing, and he didn't mind. It made things easier for him when they got to things. Still he wasn't in the mood, he really needed his coffee fix and she noticed.

"Yes, and it seems someone needs to go eat something. That doesn't involve me until I have my coffee." He said turning his half empty coffee cup again and then taking another sip. He wasn't telling her no, but at the same time he wasn't in the mood for her type of hungry. He knew what she was obviously, everyone on the island was kind of weird. He just couldn't deal with it in that moment

Cheska ground her teeth, rolling her eyes. "Bastard. Get off the roof and go get yourself some coffee, yeah? I could push ya off, if it'll help?" He was not her only choice of 'breakfast', but she did enjoy his taste.

She stretched slowly, before she shoved herself to her feet. "God, I can never remember what your ability is. Can't you just summon yourself some coffee?"

Erik laughed and shook his head "I can't fly dollface" Of course she would forget what his power was. He wasn't exactly a different species, he was human. normal life span, he could very well flatten like a pancake.

"No I cannot summon myself some coffee, I don't use magic. I'm a mutant silly. I work with tech and signals and stuff." He said rolling his eyes and turning his coffee mug again and drinking from it. He knew that the girl was impatient it was kind of fun watching her be all...Ches.

Cheska puffed her cheeks out, muttering lowly under her breath, "Can't stop me if I compel you..." She had done it before - compelled him for sex, it was most definitely not something that she was ashamed of doing.

But he'd built a good immunity to it over time. Now, to compel him, he had to be really sleepy or too dazed to realize what was happening. She would certainly attempt it, and as this thought occurred to her, she moved to settle right next to him - practically on his lap.

"Heyyyy, Erik." She purred.
