As Anastasia asked her about a shorter name, Ylzkzyzxzkzxyzz tilted her head. How do you shorten a name like hers yet have it pronounceable by humans. It took a bit of worried thinking and clicking, then she gave her answer. "You could call me Xzkz.. or Zxzk..." After a bit of thought, Ylzkzyzxzkzxyzz realized humans need vowels. "How's Ylz?" She chirped the name out, tittering happily at the sound of it.

Then came the topic of castes, and humans lacking them. How did anything get done? She remembered her studies, each human was an individual! It still seemed so strange for her but it was also so fascinating. "How are your parents... Military caste if humans do not have castes? Is it genetics? Are they... really big?" Ylz felt her curiosity getting the best of her, once more leaning in and using her antennae to taste Anastasia's scent.

It was like some kind of pronunciation nightmare. Anastasia was fairly sure she'd need a second throat to pronounce any of them. At least the last one had a vowel. That was a small mercy, wasn't it? Only even then, it was... well, challenging to pronounce.

"Ylz?" The way she said it, it sounded like a clipped version of ye-liz. She was entirely convinced that there was no possible way for a human mouth to say the whole thing, no matter how much they tried, and she was forced to settle into the closest equivalent she could manage.

"Well, they work in the military. We don't have castes - mostly - but we still have jobs?" Her brain churned back to elementary school, where she'd learned about ants and bugs. Working ants and queen ants and soldier ants... or something like that. It had been a while, to say the least. A long while, and it wasn't as if she'd had a chance to use that knowledge. "They're not any bigger than normal humans." They were fitter though.

"Ahhhh, but you're going to be military too, right?" Ylz tilted her head slightly, her antenna flicking and waving around the air, slowly familiarizing her with Anastasia's smell. It was reassuring, the musk of human oils and pheromones.
"I mean, your parents are... Military Job, so you're military too?" She had heard about how the humans operate differently from her people, but they still follow their hereditary disposition, don't they?

Ahh, wasn't that the problem? Anastasia could only shake her head, her eyes following the flick of the antenna before her. It was oddly mesmerizing, in a strangely repulsive way.

"I would have been, but no. The island has no military force for me to join, and the nature of my power makes it impossible to join any country's military force." There was no way she'd be able to hide her powers. One stray bullet and the jig would be up.
