Shasta stood in front of a stall with a couple of carrots rubbing the nose of a beautiful paint horse. His name plate said that his name was "Fire"
What a cute name... she said smiling. She put another carrot in her hand fingers together and her thumb against her palm so that Fire wouldn't accidentally nip her fingers and put the carrot in front of his nose. He took it gratefully and sniffed her head.
She giggled and petted his nose, and moved to the side of the stall, sat down and put in the ear buds of her iPod listening to her favorite Rent songs. First off La Vie Boheme. After that Seasons of Love. She smiled, closed her eyes and sang along.
Going insane, going maaaaad she sang along
LA VIE BOHEME!

"Rent, eh?" A girl asked. She had just opened the stable door in time to hear the girl singing. She had only heard a few Rent songs, being more of a Wicked girl herself, but she'd heard enough to know what the girl was singing. She walked over to a stall and started petting the horse there.

Shasta pulled out her ear buds and smiled.
She didn't care that the girl had heard her singing, she knew she wasn't very good, but that was okay.
Yeah, have you seen it? she asked. Rent was one of her favorite movies, maybe someone here would share her love.
I love Anthony Rapp. Can you believe he's getting married?

Chadra grinned. "Haven't seen it. Heard some of the songs though. And to your second question, Who's Anthony Rapp?" She stopped petting the horse and walked over to get a bridle.

Oh, he's just an actor in the movie, he plays Mark. He sings most of La Vie Boheme. she said and smiled.
Guess not...[/color] She stood and replaced the iPod to her pocket and followed her to also grab a bridle.
Mind if I join you for a ride? she asked hoping for some human interaction.

Chadra nodded, grateful for the company. "Sure! How fast have you gone before?" She asked as she carefully slipped the bit into the horses mouth and the rest of the leathers over it's head.

I've been known to cantar my way around before. But I don't do equestrian so don't ask me to wear a helmet, I'm an old fashioned cow girl. she said with a laugh and she put the haltar on Fire and brought him out, brushing him and putting a blanket on his back before throwing on a sadle and tightening it around his gut.

Chadra laughed. "I'm too much of a chicken to go without my helmet." She said. She put a blanket on the horse and then a saddle. Then she cinched up, led him out of the stall and mounted.

You're not a chicken, you're just smarter than I am. Although, I won't go riding in converse. she said and picked up a pair of riding boots and changing shoes, then she grabbed her tan colored cowboy hat and put Fire's bridle on leading him outside. She leaned her face up towards the sky and smiled as the sun hit her face. It was still pretty cold, but at least sunny.
She mounted Fire.
Ready?

Chadra laughed. She put her helmet on. "Ready if you are." She replied, petting the horses neck as she spoke.
