Build-A-Doll!

Dorian watched the two make dolls of their family with a smile. There was that pang of jealousy at the idea of other people having a warm family, but he didn't let it bother him. He was glad they were happy. They were good girls and they deserved it. He pulled out a couple sharp teeth decorations in the box and slid it at Annie. "Vito has snake teeth, right?"

He put the slug lady aside and started making a doll of his mother. Light blonde hair, blue-green eyes like him. Dorian snipped a cloth and gave her a pantsuit. "Whoa, hey, Vin. Who is that?"

Anthia eyed the doll Claire was making. Sure enough, the doll was really looking like Shay. It didn't matter too much that she was doing it in a different order; so long as the base was okay, any order was fine.

"Yep! You're in the right direction."

A giggle escaped her lips. Then she saw Dorian offer the sharp pieces and beamed. Yes! Snake Dad's fangs! Her head nodded.

"Yes, Snake Dad has fangs."

She carefully added the fangs to him. Now the doll looked considerably more snake-y. The girl then began crafting a nice suit for him with the pinstripe fabric. He was going to look extra sharp!

Dorian furrowed his eyebrows. "Wait... You've seen Eroshay at Temptations? Isn't that a brothel?"

The implications of that observation was. Odd. Did Shay buy prostitutes? ...Was Vin a regular, or a prostitute? Maybe it wasn't that weird, and they both just liked teriyaki chicken.

Oh, that cleared up the Shay thing. Wait, so was Vin...

Alright, might as well ask. It wasn't like Dorian shamed or didn't like sex workers, but he was just really, terribly curious. "So you work at Temptations, huh? What's your job there? I have to admit, I haven't been there before, but I see it aaall over social media."

Hearing the word "prostitute" made Anthia freeze. She paused mid-stitch as she heard the word. It wasn't that Vinanye being a prostitute bothered her; it was really just a bit surprising if anything. It was the factor of certain memories that word brought up. The girl went strangely quiet as she resumed sewing Vito's suit. Her golden eyes just kept staring at her work, though it didn't really seem like she was paying attention. She just kept going and would finish the doll. He looked perfect, but again she made no comment. She grabbed another doll. Now it was time to pick someone else. However, the elf froze again and just stared at the doll as if she had no idea what to do with it.

"Oh!" Dorian's eyes widened, cheeks coloring a bit. Vinanye was a prostitute? He briefly considered going to Temptations for a night out, it wouldn't hurt, and he'd be paying like the rest of them. The sudden thought made his stomach curl. It felt... shady. He couldn't do that. He wasn't that desperate. Still, he had to ask... "Is your boyfriend alright with that?"
