"Damn, some people really know how to kill a good time," Ivana quipped, happily playing along. She was glad Gwyn had a good sense of humor and could laugh about the past instead of letting it fester and consume him.

"Joking aside," Ivana said a bit more seriously now as she looked at Gwyn. "I think that it's definitely healthy that you can joke about it. I don't know the full details, but I'm sure whatever it was was not extremely pleasant."

"Well yeah it was... a whole thing. I'd say I'm over it but you know how things are. How we can get sometimes," he said using the we in reference to dragons. Gwyn was still maintaining a slight smile on his face.

"But what about you? Any crazy backstories from the past that might crawl out and become weirdly relevant?" he asked half joking. Between the craziness that was Manta Carlos, and the fact that they were both several hundred years old there were a lot of stories.

"I don't know about my past coming crawling out of the woodwork," Ivana said as she poured some warm maple syrup on her stack of pancakes. "But it is somewhat colourful," she admitted with a somewhat mischievous look on her face.

"I ran away from home as soon as I turned sixteen and spent a good number of years disguised as knight's servant boy," she told Gwyn with a wide grin before she popped a small forkful of buttered pancake in her mouth.
