With her tensed up, Laetus moved his head back a bit, breaking the kiss. He smiled at her warmly. "It's better when you don't think about it." He told her, his voice serene. "Just..." He floated up a bit, now directly in front of her rather than to her side. "Relax. Enjoy the moment.." He placed both hands at her sides, against the towers edge, and leaned in again, forcing her to lean back a bit as their lips joined again. This... Felt right. Natural perhaps. Atleast to him.

Float kiss is natural? I know that's not what you meant, but that was my first thought, and it made me laugh

At first, Laetus floating in front of her made her more nervous, and it showed in the tautness of her shoulders, but once he had backed her against the wall and their lips joined again, Maddie fell into the rightness of it too. She hadn't completely lost her nervousness, but at least, she wasn't thinking about it anymore.

Maddie put her hands on his shoulders first, but then they slipped loosely around his neck. That felt better, closer.

It did (briefly) occurred to her that it was funny she had said they should kiss because Paris was one of the most romantic places to do so, when, in fact, they probably wouldn't have realized if they were in Paris or not by this point.

There were... Zero thoughts in Laetus' head. He was all in the moment, his arms coming up under hers as he slowly moved her to lean back more. Eventually, he was floating above her, rather than in front. If she were to lean back all the way, Laetus would cease floating, and settle in at her side, his arms wrapped around her upper body. Not long after reaching this point, his lips would slowly separate from hers, his head settling against her chest, above her heart. He would smile and nestle into her side, seeming extremely comfortable being this close to her. A thought returned; Is this what it's supposed to be like? The thought didn't last long, however. If this wasn't what right felt like, right was overrated. Then another hit. They were... Were again? ... Meh. Didn't matter, did it?

Maddie had expected Laetus to rest on top of her when she was on her back, but he didn't and she wasn't sure whether to be disappointed or relieved by that fact. Her heart did quicken when his head rested against her breast, but she relaxed soon after.

Maddie ran her fingers through his hair, quiet as the grave. What could one say after a kiss like that? It was both very hot and controlled. She knew better than to inquire whether all kisses were like this.

Instead, she asked, "are you always that in control?"

She said it with a slight, quick and nervous laugh. Whether she was suggesting he not be, or just making idle chit-chat was up for debate.

Laetus nestled his head into her more when she played with his hair. He seemed to like it. His head moved only slightly to look up at her when she asked about 'control'. He seemed confused.
"There was.... no 'control'... I just sorta... Did what felt right at the time." He smiled and leaned up a bit, giving her a kiss on her lower lip. "I know you wanted to see the night life... But would you mind... Staying like this for a while?" He asked, looking at her hopefully. The sun was almost completely gone, and the stars began overtaking the sky.

Maddie was glad they weren't standing. If they'd been standing she'd have fallen trying to start up their kiss again when he kissed her lower lip.

"That sounds perfect," she told him, nestling into the comfort. "Just so long as we don't fall asleep up here, that would be," she made a face.

"Meh. You know I don't question my bad decisions." He joked. He then let out a sigh. "Fine, no nap." He said, closing his eyes. "Just gonna... Rest my eyes for a moment."

Maddie giggled harder, kissing his forehead and head. She hugged him closer, almost afraid to let go.

"I'm glad I found you, Kiwi."
