Her voice cracked.

Sometime during their conversation, Bandit had returned to the bed, jumping up. He was wary of Laetus, hoping the man wouldn't notice and kick him off the bed again.

Laetus was willing to share, but gave Bandit a look that said no more funny business.
"Oh... Is that... Would that make you uncomfortable?" He asked a bit confused. They already slept on the couch together, and she was ok with that. Was this another one of those 'human things' he didn't get? "I can just float here if that'd make you more comfortable." He offered, drifting upward off the bed.

When Maddie saw Laetus give Bandit a look that had the dog staring him down, she laughed.

"Don't mess with my dog, Kiwi!"

When he started drifting upward, she tried to grab his arm and pull him back down. "N-No! No. It's just intimate is all..."

He stopped floating and plopped back onto the bed. "Oh..." He blushed a bit. "I mean... So should I? If you're uncomfortable with it, I don't mind..."

((Side note, some "Human things" in his head are actually things he doesn't get because of the age he left home. There was never a problem at home, but he was also like 12, so... Yeah, certain childhood mentalities are still there... I hope that makes sense. I understand it but... XP))

For a second, Maddie tensed in his hold, but she soon relaxed. It felt, with all things, that Laetus was an innocent mind.
