Hi everyone. Yes, yes, I know... none of us like rules, but they're here for a reason. The rules here make sense, so make sure you follow them. If you don't, you will receive a warning. If you have any questions, please ask. This site is rated PG-13 for violence. No one under the age of thirteen is allowed, as stated in Invisionfree's terms of service.

Warning System

First Offense: Reminder by a PM or a note in a post; no real punishment.
Second Offense: A PM sent and a warning.
Third Offense: A PM sent, temporary suspension for 5-7 days.
Fourth Offense: Suspended for a month.
Fifth Offense: Banned.

Steps may be skipped depending on which rule was broken. Depending on the rule, steps may be skipped to an immediate ban, or a suspension.

General Posting Rules

1. As a PG-13 site, cussing and slurs are allowed. While we do have freedom with the word filters, don't take advantage of it. The words are to be used sparingly - I don't want to see the F-bomb dropped every post. We are writers, after all; we can come up with other words to use, right?

2. There are to be no pornographic images or links. We don't come on to the site to see naked pictures. If you're into that, then do it in your private time and not on this board.

3. Please remember these two sayings: 'Treat others as you want to be treated' and 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'. Please respect all other members, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexuality, or anything else. A lack of tolerance will not be permitted here and any person who puts down another will be suspended and/or banned. Also please respect what a person wants to do with their character.

4. Spam stands for stupid, pointless, annoying messages. This basically means double posting when it isn't necessary, bumping, or empty posts. Since spam is looked at differently, admins will be the ones to judge.

5. Please, please don't butcher the poor, defenseless Englush language. Don't post in all lower case, ALL CAPITALS, lIkE tHiS, or l!c3 +h!s. Do your best with punctuation and proper spelling. There are online sites and computer programs to help you with this. Really, I'm not a stickler about this, because there may be people here whose first language isn't English or have a disability, and that's fine. No one is perfect. =] Do your best, that's all we ever ask!

6. Don't bother the other staff members or myself about becoming a staff member. If you do this, you're never going to become one. Haha.

Role Playing Rules

1. It's not fun to play with an all-powerful character who wins at everything and can't be beaten. So therefore, no god modding. Give your character some weaknesses - it's fun to get beaten up every now and then.

2. Playing another persons character without permission is both highly frustrating and rude. It's not fair, and if you are found even doing minor things, you will be given a warning. Power playing is only allowed when you have the other persons permission to do it.

3. Please ask permission before you have your character commit suicide. In the past, people just jump on the band wagon and kill all their inactive characters like this. I'd prefer this not happen again, but I won't mind as long as it doesn't happen often and the posts are done tastefully. You are free to kill your characters however else you want! Attempted suicide and self mutilation is fine. Just have taste.

4. Please, please, please, do not make your character perfect. We all have our flaws. There is no such thing as 'the most beautiful person in the world' or the 'positively best personality', or something like that. These are called Mary-Sue's/Gary-Stu's, and they too are not fair, or fun, to play with. There are online tests to see if your character is 'perfect'.

5. Please be reasonable and fair about powers. Explain everything about them and their weaknesses. This goes under god modding. Staff members have the right to tell you to edit your profile for any reason, especially for powers. If you have any questions, just ask.

6. We know that it can be hard to come up with things sometimes, it happens to us all. However, we would appreciate it if you could write a paragraph or more in each post, so it's easier to reply to things and people aren't all that stumped. Paragraphs don't have to be long, and if the person you're RPing with doesn't mind short posts, then by all means go for it! Just have fun!

7. As stated earlier, this site is rated PG-13. Basically, keep the violence to a PG-13 level, and keep the love scenes to a PG level. I don't want to see sex threads. I don't care if your character gets pregnant, but don't RP it. We know how babies are made, we don't need to read it. You can take it to the PM system, IMs, or emails - just not on the public forum. Fade to black is encouraged.

Chatbox Rules

Follow the rules of the board, basically. Because Santa's watching.

If rules are broken, if one makes other members uncomfortable, or if any member disturbs the peace of this board, you're account can and will be warned, suspended, blocked, and/or banned at any time. If a moderator breaks these rules, they are in danger of losing their position. Also, if a moderator is abusing their powers, please PM me or any staff members immediately, and we will take care of it. These rules are subject to change at any time.

Thank you, and have fun!
