Semmie stepped out into the open air and breathed deeply taking in a tankful of air into her lungs which were grateful for the cleanliness of it compared to the dull, stuffy and dusty air of the classroom she had been in.
She clutched her books to her heart and decided to go out and sit outside where she could read and read... and read. She had about three old leather books in her arms and couldn't wait to read them, she touched them and they had a warm, loved history. Being passed down through generations. One book was Darwin's Theory of Evolution, another was a silver paged with gold guilt on the front which was the history of jewelry and another was older than the others. It was dented with thumb and finger marks and strange stains on several pages, she reckoned it dated from the early 1100s, it was about the Arthurian Legend.

Sem trotted down two steps before her feet padded softly across the grass to where she was going to sit... but something, someonestopped her. She froze as if she was unable to move. Someone was giving her uneasy vibes and she didn't know where to turn or what to do. It was like she was being blocked, a strange sense of curiousness overcame her. It was like whoever it was was encouraging her to come over and talk to her, and discover something. It wasn't a nice feeling. Sem didn't have a sixth sense at all, but when she was unsure about something her body was unbelievably receptive. It was like objects were calling out to her, to be read.

Einar slept quite peacefully, free from the nightmares about the battles lost, dreaming, for once, happily, about the battles he had won, and won gloriously. He re-lived them in his mind, the battlefields changing one after another, until they all smashed in one giant battle of blood, and flesh, and weapons clashing against one another. He held a spear, then a sword, a simply dagger he now wore in the scabbard at the waist becoming some of the deadliest weapons of old. Guns were much faster now, and nobody used neither spears nor swords, but his magic would not grasp guns, and his dagger wouldn't change. And honestly, he did not wish it to. He held his magic and his sword much dearer than he could ever hold a gun, even if it was more precise... Or whatever. Sometimes, he really couldn't grasp the modern age. And that's why he would return to the much simply one that still existed only within his dreams, six hundred years of violence singing in his blood.

Sem turned cautiously around to see a man sleeping what seemed to be peacefully with his back up straight sitting on the grass. Her eyes did not linger on the man for long but was attracted to an object, a weapon lying next to him. He wore a scabbard around his waist and it was intricately designed, or at least she thought so.

She inched closer her mind being lured in to this man. She was falling hook, line and sinker in love with the curiosity of this person. She flicked her bleach hair back so it was out of her face as she tucked the little straggly bits of her long fringe. She hiked up her books before they slipped under her sweaty grasp, she was nervous. She really was intrigued by and wanted to go up to him and do something or just momentarily touch his weapon that seemed to be unguarded next to him.

Even unconscious he could feel when somebody approached him, a gift that was once as necessary as breathing to him. The battles in his mind slowed, as it woke up for it's sleep, his senses brushing over the pressence beside him as much as they could without his conscious mind being involved in it, trying to determan whether there was any treath coming from it. Deeming the girl-yes, he could feel that it was a girl-harmless, his mind halted, wondering was it really necessary for him to wake up. His eyes stayed close, his mind slowing down once again. His hand fell down to the ground, leaving the dagger unguarded, as there was no need for the guard... Right?

She let out a squeal of surprise and jumped back, tripping over her own feet and falling slightly. She dropped her books to the ground, she bent down to pick them up but she could feel herself wanting to touch the dagger that was unguarded but near his hand. What if he was playing asleep?

She sat down and crossed her legs, she tucked her hair behind her ears and watched the sleeping man, she wanted to touch the dagger desperately but she also wanted to make sure that he was definitely asleep so that he did not catch her fiddling with his possessions. If it even was his, it looked old and very delicate. The intricate handle was amazing, she reckoned that's what appealed to her, it was a simple kind of intricate. She wasn't fond of fancy and expense, something that did the job was enough for her, and this looked like it had done the job a fair few times.

The girl moved again and this time, his mind would not let it pass. He could feel the weight of his star at him, her eyes focused on the dagger at his belt. Through the years, and then centuries, many had tried to take his weapon away, but none could wield it like he could, making the silver dance as it went from one shape to the other. He used it as both bow and spear, sword and ax, the magic within him allowing it to become anything in the world, he only had to wield it. Anything but a gun that is, though it was fine with him. He never wished to wield a gun anyway.

Thus, after the images within his mind settled down for a bit, Einar opened his eyes. What do you want? he asked, lifting himself up.

Semmie gulped. His eyes though, they were mysterious. He hid something behind those eyes, she wondered if his weapon would reveal all.
"Um, can I... can I have a look at your dagger?" she stuttered nervously, "It's beautiful." She added this hesitantly. Sem felt his eyes bore into her skin and it made her skin squirm and prickle her hairs. She shivered.
She put her brave face on and gripped herself for a whipping (he looked the harsh type) and so she kind of sated something that might help her case in looking at the dagger closer, figuring out its history a little more. "It does not look like one I have seen in the history books sir. It may be custom made."

Einar frowned. The woman seemed nervous, shivering like a squirrel beneath his gaze while actually avoiding his eyes. Of course it doesn't, woman. he said arrogantly, lifting himself even higher. It is the only one of its kind in the world. Standing up, he looked down on her, judging her. Who are you and what do you want with it? He had never allowed another person to touch his weapon willingly, though it was taken from him once or twice, and at those times he felt bare, almost helpless. Putting his hand over the silver dagger, he sharpened his gaze .

He rose to his true height towering over her, intimidating her and making her feel small and positively quite worthless. She trembled uncontrollably and she was annoyed at this, she shook her head wildly so her hair flicked back into her face and eyes so she could attempt to hide the terror in her eyes, a weakling.
"I mean no harm, I swear," she squeaked defensively. "It's interesting, I just want to touch it... see it's history. How are you even so sure that there is one of a kind." She raised her eyebrow skeptically at how sure this man was of his dagger.
"Did you kn-" Sem stopped herself from informing him with a piece of useless information that would not aid her case and she was sure that he would not take it lightly either. She was going to raise her hand to her mouth to stop any further words from escaping but decided against it, if her actions before didn't show to him that she was merely a little girl but this would show him that she was incapable of fending for herself.

How do I know? he said, raising an eyebrow at her. She must have heard of him, the whole campus has, ever since that day when he spoke in the history class. Did she not know who was she speaking with than? I was there when they made it, girl. And he was. He was nothing more than a bundle in his mother's arms, though, screaming through town as his father shopped for weapons before they returned to the village, but he was still there as the hammer hit on the metal for the last time, his father already counting money that would go to the blacksmith in exchange for the beautiful dagger. He had heard latter, once he grew up and received that same dagger as a gift for his twelfth birthday, that the blacksmith had died just a few days latter, making that dagger the only one he has ever made. To him, that only made the gift all the more special, possible being why the magic within him connected to it, making it the core weapon of his Everchangable.

That is how I know, woman. he said, lowering himself down to her level again and looking her in the eyes, six hundred years of history looking smugly at her from his eyes.
