"B-but your here n-now!" Amber managed to stammer as she threw her arms around her sister. Her sister's unconditional love for her... she felt as though she did not deserve. She had tried to push her away for silly stupid reasons over her own insecurities revolving around their parents complicated relationship. But since her kidnapping... she was terrified that her last memories with her beloved sister was her pushing her out of her life... a thought that terrified her to her very core. She never hated Dalia... and it was super unfair of her blame her for actions she had little control over.

"A-and that what matters... I thought... I thought I wouldn't get the hug o-or even see you ever again. I... I was just awful... and stupid! Awful and stupid for being a jerk to you. I... I didn't want your last memories of me to be so... so muddled in be being angry. I... I was just jealous and mad at a situation that I didn't understand and... I took it out on you. I'm... I sorry... I... I was the worst to you..."

As Amber continued to hug tightly onto her sister, she turned her head somewhat to her mom, listening to how the ambulance could not be called off and asked about if her kidnappers were performing tests on her.

"Oh... okey just... j-just don't let them take me mom... they... t-they might be working for them..." or least that is what she suspected... she couldn't trust doctors... since her kidnappers were also doctors of sort.

"Y-yeah... they did. They t-took samples and... and they seemed really really interested in my horns for s-some reason. L-like... I wasn't s-suppose to have them after I got sick..."

"I won't let them touch you."

Looking down, she saw the ambulance approaching the building. That was an annoyingly fast response time. This was going to be a real pain to explain to them. Jeez.

Soon, Chloe was also going to make sure Amber told some detectives everything she saw over there. She wanted them found. She wanted their real names and faces on television. A skilled user of the dark arts could do a lot with a name.

But right now, Amber needed some comfort. Dalia was already in a hugging situation with her, and Chloe would be occupied soon with the paramedics. "So, while I take care of this stuff, Amber, is there anything you want to eat or drink? Were they feeding you well?" Chloe was almost certain the answer to that would be 'no.' Even if they were feeding her, they probably weren't feeding her the right things.

Gods, Chloe would even consider giving Amber coffee right now if she asked for it.

"T-thanks mom! And... uummm... yeah I... I could us something to eat... something with meat? Anything with protein! They were giving me this... gruel." replied Amber, making a face of disgust at the mention of this gruel. It was also at this moment that she realized just how hungry she was during her captivity.

"I... I could use a hot dog or a hamburger right now... and to drink... uhhh... I dunno... something to help calm me down I guess? M-maybe tea?" suggested Amber, still holding onto her sister though her grip on her has loosened somewhat.

"I just... w-want to be with you guys for now... I was so w-worried I would... I would not s-see a-any of you ev-ever see you a-again..." stammered Amber, those terrible thoughts once again almost bringing her to tears but she tried to hid them by pulling away from the hug and wiping her eyes as if there was something stuck in them.

"Amber... Amber it's okay. I know... I messed up. I'm just glad you're back. I didn't want lose you..."
Dalia gripped her sister tighter, holding her close until she wanted to pull away and wipe her eyes.

Pulling her arms around herself in a kind of self hug was all Dalia could do to keep from shaking. Hearing Amber talk about being poked and prodded and having her horn cut off... it made her sad. But moreso it made her angry; unhealthily so.
"Don't worry Amber. I'm not gonna let anyone else take you away. Nobody."

Anthony paced through his 'trophy room,' full of personal items taken from people throughout his life. The spider girl had gotten away somehow. Holmes was not pleased. He had to get her back, or it'd be his head. Or Chris's head. He wasn't sure which was worse.

Aha. There is was. Her diary. He had taken some time to read through it. She was a curious kid. Her mom was getting married to another woman, rather than her... mom. It had taken Anthony some time to wrap his head around it.
And oh her sister. Dalia, from what the diary said. She was a little terror, always escalating things and making Amber's life worse. Poor kid.

Picking the notebook up, he tucked it into his jacket pocket and focused on the person it belonged to. Static electricity filled the air and then he was gone.

They had hot dogs, in fact. Chloe was already getting them out of the fridge. She would wrap one in a paper towel to nuke it in the microwave. With a cold, paper-towel-wrapped hot dog in hand, she came back out: "And what kind of tea would you like? I'll let you have the Earl Grey with caffeine if you want it. You can have caffeine too, Dalia. We deserve a little bit of celebration right now. Just, not my energy drinks."

Ozerchabal was still tense, still keeping a watchful eye. His mistress ordered him to watch for anyone following Amber to the penthouse, and she hadn't ordered him to stop yet. His eyes danced between the sky, the hallway to Chloe's room, and the area directly around Amber; those were the three most likely angles of approach. He'd rather they all get inside, too; that would mean less to watch out for, but Amber wanted to be outside, and of course mommy wasn't going to say no. How frustrating. Even worse, he knew in his heart that nobody would come, and that he wouldn't get to scream a battlecry or break something.

"Nona," Chloe added, "Can you heat up some water for us?"

"B-but I... but I messed up more and... and... and I was sooo scared that y-you hate me." Amber inhaled, collecting herself as she slowly exhaled warm breath to the outside air. Calming down, she looked to her sister and smiled to her.

"T-thanks Dalia... f-for forgiving me... e-even if I wasn't t-the b-best sister as I should of been... do you... d-do you think you can s-stick close to me for a few d-days? I... I would feel safer with y-you..." inquired Amber, before her attention was shifted to her mother.

"Y-yeah... the Earl Grey. Thats fine, thanks mom" responded Amber as she clasps her hands around the offered hot dog. Once she had her hot dog, she took a tiny nibble off the tip. As she chewed, she came to the conclusion that this had to be the best hot dog she has ever had the luxury of eating. She wasn't sure if it was a superior brand that what she is used to or if she had become so famished that just about anything made out of animal (human included) would taste fantastic in her current state. Whatever it was, it only took Amber a few seconds to scarf down the entire dog and accidentally bite on her own finger. Were it not for her chitin encasing her fingers, she would have just lost the tip of her index finger.

"Errr... c-can I have another?" asked Amber, smiling sheepishly to her mother. It was really embarrassing, normally she takes the time chew and savor food with small gingerly bits. So her state of hunger was telling when a slow eater like herself vacuumed an entire hot dog like her life depended on it.

Dalia shuffled a bit, giving Amber some room. She had no idea that Amber was this upset or felt so bad about the arguments they had had since Dalia got arrested.
"I could never hate you, Amber. You're my sister. I love you more than... anybody. I'd do anything for you I just- I thought you hated me."

It was awkward, talking about it. Dalia moved a.little closer to Amber, giving her sister a tight smile. "Of course. You can stick as close as you want. I'll even make my hammock bigger so we can sleep together. If you want, that is."

There was a feeling in the air, like static electricity. It made Dalia's hair stand on end and made her stomach turn just a bit. Before she could really figure out where the feeling was coming from, there was a man standing on the opposite side of Amber, looking down at the two girls menacingly.

"Aunt Chloe!"

Anthony appeared on a balcony, in some high rise apartment in the middle if downtown. Fuck's sake. He was staring at not one but two little spider girls. He recognized both of them, having looked over the notes the doctor gave him. If he couldn't grab one, the other might be good.

He let out a wordless yell as he tackled for the girls, even as the blonde one yelled for someone named Chloe. Anything didn't give a shit that anyone was around. He wasn't half as scared of what these fucks on the island would do to him as he was of Doctor Holmes. He was not leaving here empty handed.

Chloe was going to get several hotdogs heated up this time. But before she could get back to the kitchen, it happened.

Someone appeared on the balcony. He probably wanted Amber back. Chloe reached under her skirt - failing to find her knife there (it was in the other room) she reached for the fancy sword hanging on the wall and charged, throwing the very expensive scabbard to the floor

Ozerchabal realized what was going on right as Dalia shouted. Immediately, he went into action. He would later describe his magically-produced battlecry as sounding like 'the sound your fractured skull makes when you scratch a chalkboard with it - but only when it's your own skull and not someone else's.' He intercepted Anthony, tackling him horn-first.
