Enzo, on the other hand, having been concentrating on the other's footsteps and voice as they were the only thing he was following, didn't hear the cat come running. He wound up tripping over it, sending the cat scampering off and himself, to hit the ground with an 'umph'. As he tripped however, the momentum sent his sunglasses clattering to the ground as well. Now on his hands and knees, both feeling stupid and a bit embarrassed, he went about feeling the ground for his sunglasses.

'Great...after practically calling this guy out for being blind and making a big deal about wanting to have a sighted person give him directions, I go and trip over a fucking cat!' He thought to himself, hands still groping the ground for his sunglasses in a frustrated manner. Already having this guy know he has gotten lost and now this, was just making him look more incompetent as a blind person and he felt almost inferior to the other to the other in a way. And where the hell were his sunglasses?! He could have sworn he heard them hit the ground over here. Though he usually wasn't one to 'loose his cool', he was easily becoming frustrated with himself over the situation.

If you're looking for your sunglasses, they are a bit more to your left. Samael said as he turned around to see what had happened. His hands still full of bottles, he had to put them down first before he grabbed on the peace of plastic, giving it back to its owner a moment later.

You...You can't see either, right? he asked, a bit awkward, as he watched the man move around, looking for the glasses that were right in front of him, after he had tripped over a cat. He felt something was off before, considering that the man was holding to the wall, but he felt that he knew what was going on now.

Here, I'll help you up. he said, offering his hand.

Enzo only sat there dumbly, having slipped his sunglasses on after they were given to him. However, he was unresponsive to the offered hand, not seeing the gesture and instead, stared blankly at the other from behind his sunglasses. He didn't say anything for a long moment, trying to process what had just happened. This guy supposedly can't see and yet, he somehow knew where his sunglasses were...even if he had some sort of other power that helped him find his way around, how was that even possible?

"You aren't really blind, are you?" He questioned, confused and a bit suspicious, as he stood up on his own, ignoring the vocal offering for help as well.

Ah, sorry. Samael said retreating his hand. Sometimes I forget not everybody is like me. standing up properly and picking up the bottles he had put down earlier he looked at the man and smiled a bit.

I am in traditional sense. he said, thinking of how he should explain this so the other would understand. He tried explaining it differently every time since people never seemed to quite get it. My eyes don't work and are completely blank. However, my power allows me to see the outlines of the world. Like...shapes and stuff. he said, already losing his words. It's like a bunch of bright lines against a darker background or something like that. he explained, using the words he had learned as young, but never really understood as he naturally could never tell bright from dark...nor, if he thought about it, could his current conversation partner.

He sighed, confused, never before having to explain his power to another blind person. All in all, it allows me to see where things are and how they look like, but without much detail, or colour etc.

"So you aren't really blind." Enzo insisted, shoving his hands into his pockets and keeping turned toward the other's general direction. Light, dark, lines, color...none of it made sense to Enzo and held no meaning to him; he's heard all of the terms before and some on a daily basis but no matter how someone has tried to explain it to him, he's never understood it. All that really stood out was the fact that this guy could apparently see all that and yet was still claiming to be blind. It didn't make sense to him.

Well...Not completely I guess. he said, shrugging his shoulders. It is not perfect, though. he added thoughtfully, fidgeting a bit. If there are too many people around, the lines get blurry and I get confused. And I can't really see the small things. Not when Draven's not around at least. he thought, sighing. It is complicated, I guess. he added, as thinking about Draven got him thinking about the connection, and how it was also a part of his power.

What about you? he asked, hoping that he wasn't making the guy uncomfortable by asking. And, by the way, I'm Samael.

"I still don't understand..." Enzo scratched at the back of his neck in thought. What did he even mean by 'the lines get blurry'? Blurry...that was another one of those sighted words he could never understand. He knew it was typically used as a negative word and whatever it was, it made sight more difficult. Still though...if things can be blurry for normally sighted people, how did this guys sight being blurry make him any different? And didn't some people's sight work better then others anyway? So, why did it matter that he couldn't see the small things? If he could see at all...then wasn't he still sighted? He was severely confused; the whole concept of sight was confusing and it almost made him glad he didn't have it...he didn't think he'd be able to keep it all straight, what with all these descriptive words he didn't understand.

"...I guess it is complicated." He agreed with a sigh, giving up on trying to wrap his mind around just what this guy was talking about. "I still don't think you're blind though...if you can see all that, if you can see at all...how can you consider yourself blind?" He questioned, trying to make sense of it. It seemed almost wrong in his mind, to claim that you are something when you could of when you're claiming you can't. Then again, he had no idea how sight actually worked and wasn't understanding the difference between Samael's power and normal sight.

"My name's Enzo." He gave himself an introduction with a sigh, his Italian accent thicker as he said his name. "And I don't get any input from my eyes; I can't even tell night from day, if that's what you were asking." He pointed out, knowing that some blind people could tell light from dark and some had varying degrees of very small amounts of sight...but he still didn't think having all of what Samael described could still be considered blind.

Lol....Enzo's just really confused...I'm not mocking Samael or anything in case it seems like it...cus idk lol I just don't want it to seem like it xD

No worries xD I just realised that, considering that he as well was blind from birth, Samael shouldn't be able to understand half of this stuff anyway. I'm pinning it down to him having a really noisy sister and biology classes though xD

And with Enzo's last words, Samael realised what was amiss in his explanations: the boy, being blind himself, probably did not know how the normal sight worked, and was thus unable to comprehend how Samael's sight was any different from normal sight. And Samael knew the feeling. It took him years of his mother explaining him basic biology and his sister describing in as much detail as he could what she was able to see to understand that. Which also probably meant that the other man-Enzo-couldn't comprehend half of the words Samael had just said.

Well, because, technically, I am. he said, shrugging his shoulders a bit. My eyes don't work so the brain doesn't get any information from them which means that there is no normal sight. All that biological stuff. However, I have this power-I usually call it Blind Sight in my head-that allows me to get an idea of how world looks like on the surface. he said, stopping for a moment, trying to find a words to describe it to someone who was completely blind, having to go through life even without that small part of sight he himself had. It's... Basically, I know where things are and how they look like, the shape of them, you know, the same thing you get when you feel them with your hands? he continued, hoping that the other guy was following him. But I can't get much more than that. If something is drawn on the surface of the chair, I won't be able to see it. Anything embodied into the surface is basically impossible to me... Well, usually anyway. he said, thinking about Draven's tattoo's again. So, yeah, I'm not completely blind but it is not regular sight either, you know. And, nice meeting you, Enzo. We should probably hurry to the bar or that thing on your leg will stain.
