"Just your dad, huh? Suppose that makes him the big king."
Zizi said with a chuckle, and watched Anita send a text, probably to big boy. Zizi could feel her phone vibrate in her pocket, it was probably her friend, asking her to update her status. But Zizi briefly reached into her pocket and closed her phone while Anita was distracted. Zizi was just starting to get entertained and didn't want to be bothered by some boring mortal and his updates.

Anita lead Zizi into a bakery, and she looked around, faking to be interested by all the delicious looking sweets inside. In truth food rarely was enough to make Zizi interested, unless it was something completely alien that she hadn't tasted before. And Zizi had tasted all these treats before, different versions in countless different dimensions.
"Go on then, choose whatever you want, however much you want. You deserve that much after surviving a speeding lunatic."

"Nah, he's more of a Teddy Bear, Kay" She laughed.

Given permission, she grabbed one of each kind of Cake she saw. Taking each one, she pointed out its name and how delicious it was to Zizi. She Loved sweets, and having someone buy cake for her was a godsend. Eventually, she had what was in her eyes, a mountain of deliciousness. It might have actually been only a few dozen cakes, but this held every cake she liked here, as well as all the ones she had wanted to eat in the future. She blinked away tears. This was a beautiful moment. She never thought she'd get this chance.

...teddy bear?
That contradicted everything Zizi knew about Altizica, and it took some willpower to not let her surprise and confusion show on her face. How had big boy acted to make Anita think he was like a teddy bear? Zizi couldn't wait and see big boy, he had probably become so much more entertaining than before, to be able to make this girl genuinely believe unending hunger was like a teddy bear. So he had finally listened to Zizi's advice about deception being the most fun.
Zizi grinned and laughed a bit.
"Who let teddy bear on the throne? You better overthrow him, little queen. I have a feeling you'd look much better on that throne."
And she'd look even better on it if she tried to look as much like Zizi as possible.

Anita was milking every little bit out of Zizi's offer, it seemed, and she liked it. Using people's kindness was fun and handy, it was good Anita at least had the most basic of the basic down. If they offer, don't hold back. And Zizi had offered, and Anita didn't hold back.
"Little queen has a great appetite, it seems."
Zizi remarked with an amused smile, Anita was even crying. She enjoyed sweets that much? To find so much enjoyment in such a simple thing was entertaining, and handy. Zizi had to do a lot more to be able to genuinely enjoy something.
Zizi proceeded to pay, using credit of course, and she didn't even bother looking how much it all cost. She had money, and if she ran out all Zizi needed to do was steal some, or steal whatever she wanted to get with the money. Society's rules were silly, and so easy to go around or dodge.

She laughed and posed. "I already tell him what to do, kay" She said with a grin. Anita could think of a few occasions where she had told Alt what to do, and he listened, but that was quickly ended when she began to imagine herself in a leather jacket like Zizi's.

Once the Cakes were paid for, she began to eat, chewing them as she smiled at Zizi. She was the best. Swallowing, she spoke. "How did you dye your hair, kay?" She honestly wanted to be more like her if she was this nice to everyone.

Anita told the unending hunger what to do, huh? Zizi couldn't imagine the extremely prideful big boy doing anything someone else told him to do, even though his and Zizi's view of the world was different both of them had done exactly what they had wanted to do.
Or maybe Altizica was just humouring Anita and in actuality didn't take her seriously. That sounded probable, although Zizi found it hard to believe that even in that case Alt would let a child boss him around.
"So the teddy bear knows his place then?"
Zizi said with a snicker.

Zizi watched Anita eat with a small smile on her face, pretending to look pleased that Anita was so happy to eat the cakes. And in a way Zizi was.
"Dye? Now listen here, this hair is au naturel. Comes with being a Prax, ya know."
Zizi said with a small smug hair flip, pretending to be proud to be a Prax. At least this body's previous owner had been proud to be a Prax. Zizi didn't see the point in it, after all, Prax were mortals and much too stubborn and smug.

She continued to eat the cakes, stopping to speak. "Yeah, Kay. He only does things to make me happy, kay."

after eating about a quarter, she put a cake down. "It's real? I want Pink hair now, Kay" She pouted. Maybe she had to find a shapeshifter's powers. Nibbling on a cake, she looked around, but couldn't see any nearby. "I want to be just like you. Tough, smart and cool looking, kay"

The way Anita described big boy was very different from when Zizi had been with him for over a millennia. It was true that time changed everyone, even eternal beings like eldritch, but this much? Zizi had changed as well, but big boy sounded almost...mortal.
That thought was so bizarre Zizi had to hold in a laugh.
"He sounds like a good dad."
Zizi said, and she let some gentleness into her smile. This was an appropriate way to react, and Zizi didn't seem too overeager to hear more about this dad of Anita's.

"Isn't this a magic island full of all kinds of magical things? Getting permanent pink hair wouldn't be hard at all."
Zizi remarked, smiling encouragingly. Because it would be beyond hilarious if big boy's child would try to look and act as much like Zizi. She already wanted to see the expression on Altizica's face when he realized that his "daughter's" idol was Zizi.
"Like me? I'm not stopping you, little queen. But it did take some time to become me. It's a long process, and all about the attitude."
It was hilarious to give a child life advice like she actually meant it. Zizi wanted to laugh out loud, but right now she still needed to seem responsible and heroic.
"But you know, I could tell you some shortcuts into being like me. That is, if the little queen has enough courage to try?"
Zizi grinned just a bit, now with more mischievousness. Let's see if Anita would take the bait.

She didn't even need to think about her answer before she was ready to say it. Zizi was just so amazing. "I'm brave enough, kay!"

Leaning forward in her seat, Anita smiled. She wanted to be just like Zizi, and Zizi was going to help her. She was right about hair dyeing being easy, so she couldn't wait to see what else she had to help.

No hesitation. Yet again so easy it was kind of boring, but Anita seemed to adore Zizi too much to even doubt her. That was amusing to some extent, and Zizi let some of that amusement in the sly smile on her face. She leaned forward as well, like they had a common secret, and whispered her next words.
"See the elderly lady behind the counter? Go compliment all these delicious cakes you've been eating, and try and get her to give you a free cinnamon roll from under that glass dome next to the register."
Zizi said, and subtly gestured to the small pile of cinnamon rolls under the small glass dome right where Zizi had said they were. Zizi needed to start simple and easy, and she wanted to see exactly how good Anita was at flattery and manipulation.
"They're so cheap it won't matter if you get one for free, and we already bought a bunch of treats. Can you do it, little queen?"
Zizi winked at Anita, trying to pump some encouragement into her tone and expression.

She looked over. Oh, it was about that attitude. Thinking, she crafted her plan. Moving over to the Lady, she held a happy smile. "Excuse me, Miss Kay?"

She waited for the Woman to look at her. "I tried all your cake today, and They're all delicious, Miss Kay!" She Beamed, pretending to spot it out of the corner of her eye, she spoke loudly. "Oh, I missed one, kay!" Patting her pockets, she looked back up at her. "Um, miss, can I please have a cinnamon roll, kay? I don't have any money left on me, and my Mother over there only has enough left for our bus tickets home, kay"

She tried to put on puppy-dog eyes. Hopefully, this woman let her. SHe didn't want to disappoint Zizi.
