The street was busy, a perfect hiding place for an individual in plain sight. But not too busy, collateral would be troublesome, Zizi didn't need extra distractions. She only had one target, and that target was arriving soon. Or so Zizi had estimated, based on her four days' worth of scouting and investigation. Tyron was in position, and Zizi looked down on her phone, checking latest messages. He was good to go, and apparently still confused why Zizi wanted to do something like this. But he didn't need to know. All he needed to do was drive and almost hit a little girl. Shouldn't be all that hard for a mortal. Though Zizi had long ago learned that you could never know about mortals, they were as predictable as they were unpredictable. That was what made them interesting.
An impish smile rose to Zizi's face as she looked up from her phone and saw the target. Little girl, name was Anita, Altizica's alleged "daughter". What was big boy ultimately going to do with her, Zizi had wondered that. Devour her? Shape her into a pawn? Perhaps he was just toying with her. Whatever he was planning Zizi already liked it, this was all so horribly fun and interesting. As expected of Alt, he was never boring, pretending to live like a mortal.
Zizi put the phone away and stopped leaning on the brick wall. She was in an alley, half-covered by shadows. She looked the street over, did a quick analysis, and pressed a button on her phone.
Showtime.
The streetlight turned green, and Anita was the only one crossing the street. Just as planned. Zizi's friend drove from around the corner on a motorcycle at full speed, going straight for Anita. There was no way she could dodge in time. And before any other bystander with supernatural reflexes or speed could do anything Zizi shot off from where she stood, also going straight for Anita. The timing was important. If Zizi saved Anita too early it would be clear that she had known this would happen. And Anita would know if Zizi lied about having a future vision, the girl could see abilities. Too late and then...well, big boy would be one daughter short. Because Zizi's friend was going in with the intention to hit, under Zizi's orders. It was important to be genuine.
But Zizi's timing was perfect, and she jumped and snatched Anita out of the biker's way just few seconds before he hit the girl. And he sped off, leaving a crowd of people looking after him in shock and anger.
Zizi had wrapped herself around Anita, and for dramatic flair she had rolled once or twice before releasing the girl and looking down with at her with a concerned look, but still having a confident and mischievous smile. There was no point in faking to be too good, because Anita needed to know at least a small part of Zizi in order for the girl to genuinely like her.
"You okay there, kid? That asshole was in quite the hurry, huh."
