He drew a breath, he could keep his anger under control, he wasn't going to let the girl win by letting her know she'd pissed him off. "And dog..." He paused, his voice a low purr. "I could probably say the same to you, sweetheart." That may have perhaps sounded a little patronizing, but he hadn't intended it to. The look on her face perhaps suggested she'd worked something out about him, of course she has. He told himself, she's a vampire. Vamps perhaps had the same sense of smell as werewolves, it was just as strong, though their hearing perhaps wasn't as good. Even if she felt uneasy around him she didn't show it, it was respectable for a person to keep their cool, maybe she wasn't all that bad after all.

The other girl's mood change had been so quick that Obi was left feeling just a tad confused, she's worse than me. Though that perhaps wasn't true, Obi's mood could change so quickly that it tended to unnerve people. He couldn't care less what emotions she was currently harboring, he couldn't really care less about her existence if he thought about it. Amber. So that was her name, a pretty name, not all that unusual. A jewel. That seems fitting enough. The boy shrugged, as a rule he didn't generally tell people his name, though there was no use hiding it, "Obi." He stated idly, short for something, obviously.</div>

They both had very pretty names, though she didn't say that. Lucy wasn't sure what to do, or what to say. She was shocked, and again, she felt too out of place. She sighed and looked at both of them for a second. "Well." She bated her eyes for a second. "Nice to meet you both." She smirked a bit. She felt uneasy with them both. She wanted to leave, let these two sort out their differences, but that wasn't like her. She smirked again at them and put one hand on her hip.

<div align=center>Amber flashed a smile in return and shifted a steadily descending bag strap back onto her shoulder. “It’s been a pleasure.”

She threw a glance over her shoulder to check for the return of the receptionist, and was again met with an empty chair. She could destroy that chair. Instead, she zipped her coat up to her chin, tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and adjusted her bags for the nth time. Procrastination was her friend.

It took about five seconds, in which her eyes flicked from girl to boy and then back again, for her to come to terms with the fact that there’d be no way to excuse herself from the situation without asking for help from someone. That was of course unless she wanted to improvise a route which, ruffled and grumpy from travel, she did not. In her mind the choice had been obvious. She’d ask Lucy for directions to somewhere or another, thank her politely, and finally leave the room, by extension putting as much space between her and ‘Obi’ - the name was almost cute which, in her opinion, completely contradicted his character - as was physically possible. She could forget this whole encounter ever happened and pretend that her arrival at Starlight hadn’t been in the company of a werewolf.

In reality it didn’t quite work out that way. She stepped backwards away from the desk, immediately - and embarrassingly - feeling more vulnerable as if she’d just nosedived into a pool of sharks. Her question was posed ambiguously, not deigning to make direct eye contact with either person.

“So,” she paused to absorb the knock to her pride, “What exactly do I do now?”

<div align=center>bi purred softly, blinking slowly, and staring at Amber. The girl needed help now and she was going to turn to either of them, of course it wouldn't be him. They barely knew each other and she already hated him. That just made him even more determined to get close to her, a lot of people hated him, but for some reason he was eager to change her mind. He got the underlying feeling flirting wouldn't work, this girl was way too headstrong to succumb to his seduction, the other girl, however, was not. Humans weren't quite as strong willed as vampires, therefore they were far easier to toy with. Amber was too smart for her own good. He could tell that already, she was sly, he liked that. Nice to meet you both. Lucy had said, Obi laughed. "First time I've heard that one." He mumbled softly, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly.

He laughed softly, Amber's demeanor had changed ever so slightly, ah little lioness, what have you gotten yourself into? He pushed his hands into his pockets and leaned forward a little, "well what do you want to do?" He asked her, eyes flickering down to her luggage, he wondered if she'd been assigned a dorm room, that would help at least, she could put her things away and nurse her damaged pride for a little while. He asked her if she had a dorm room, tilting his head to the side like a dog, eyes still locked upon her.</div>

Lucy glared at Obi. She had an idea what he was trying to do, or many she is wrong. "Do you need any help?" She asked Amber, smiling a bit. She wondered if they would be roommates, or maybe they were on the exact opposite sides of the girls dorm. She wouldn't have any clue until she answered the question Obi had asked her. She hesitated, thinking about asking her herself, but then dropped it. She didn't want to be rude, if she didn't have to. She smirked at Obi, looking at him with mischief.

She looked down at her luggage, she could easily carry it, but that would be weird. She was fit though, fitter then a lot of people that she had seen. She thought for a moment, looking down at her clothes. She had no idea why she wore such, mature clothes, but she didn't really care. She crossed her arms at her chest and waited for her response.

“You’re asking me if I have a room? No,” she deadpanned. “No I don’t, they’re actually making me sleep on the roof.”

It was becoming hard to juggle two sides. Displaying the manners she’d been taught – drilled on, rather - as a child often proved difficult for someone inherently cold and aloof, which wasn’t aided by how much the dog irked her.

Nonetheless, she contradicted her words by pulling a numbered scrap of paper out of a bag pocket and holding it up between two fingers. She smiled graciously at Lucy’s offer of help, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “Thank you, if it’s not any trouble. That is,” a glance at Obi, briefly looking him up and down, “assuming you don’t know your way round the girl’s dorms.” </div>

The image of her curled up on the roof made him laugh to himself nonetheless, let's hope she doesn't fall off. Obi's head turned to Lucy, the smile vanishing, he had absolutely no clue why she kept making such strange faces at him, careful, little one. If you pull the wolf's tail you're going to get bitten. What was her name again? Ah, yes, Lucy. He had half a mind to snap at her, to scare her, it was fun to scare people, to make them scream, to feel their necks snap between your jaws and their blood flood over your tongue. His eyes widened a little at that last thought, and he looked a tad alarmed for a brief moment. He drove it away, wondering where it had come from.

It took a second or two for him to recollect himself and calm down again, though his demeanor didn't falter, he refused to show them any kind of weakness, it didn't matter who they were, weak members of a wolf pack were picked on and left behind. But these weren't wolves and they weren't in a pack. Assuming you don’t know your way round the girl’s dorms. Obi laughed darkly, and shrugged. "Well," he looked back to her, "can't say that I don't."</div>

"It isn't a problem at all." She smiled at Amber, then turned to Obi. She smirked at him flirty like. She really didn't know what to make of him. He was mysterious and Lucy liked that. She had a strange feeling though, that he had no interest in her, at all. 'Well, this was the the exact opposite of what I wanted to happen.' She said to herself. She squinted quickly at Obi, trying to figure out why he was really here. As she though about it, the same could have been said of her. She looked back at Amber, then pointed at her luggage. "Whenever you are ready." She didn't like the presence of the boy, something was off with him, with both of them.

Instead, she opted to quirk a brow. "Cute."

It was with mild interest that she observed Lucy's flirtatious smirk. She supposed she could understand it. Obi wasn't bad looking.
But boy did he know it.

It was all she could do to hope, what with it being such a large campus (and him being the type she'd expect to sleep hanging upside down from a tree branch) that they would never run into each other again.

She nodded a little distractedly, slipped the scrap of paper back into her pocket and exhaled heavily to puff a stubborn lock of her hair out of her eyes (mother is turning in her grave). "Sure. Thanks again."
Chin raising unconsciously, she made to leave, pausing in the doorway to wait for Lucy.
When she allowed herself a final look at the boy - dog - she perhaps lingered a little too long on the eyes.
"Nice meeting you, Obi," she muttered absently, her tone suggesting anything but. "It's been a... pleasure." </div>

He murmured, "you look at me as if you have never seen such a creature before." Though, he supposed she hadn't, she would have believed he was human, of course, but Amber knew better, and he knew she did. That unnerved him slightly, it wasn't something you generally wanted people to know, Lycanism was more or less a disease in his opinion, he hated it, he'd give anything for it to go away. Silver bullets, he assumed, though those would kill him as well as cure him, unfortunately, he didn't really fancy dying, not yet, anyhow.

When she turned again, he met her eye. They were pretty, he thought perhaps the shade had lightened during the time she'd been in his presence. He held her gaze for a moment, a little unwilling to leave it. Obi recollected himself, a dirty little smirk crossing his features, "and you, my dear." He purred, laughing coldly and turning his head away from her, he'd be late for his lessons after this, but he didn't really care much. Lessons weren't all that important to him. "I hope your time here is pleasant."</div>
